What? What is 'The Gaia'?
The Gaia is not just another character. And despite the name, it is not Mother Nature either. At least for now. The Gaia is an epidemic, a disease of sorts, that targets just what frequents around these lands, equine.
Is it deadly?
Yes. The Gaia can be a fatal affliction.
Can my character catch it?
Yes. Any character on NSE can be target to The Gaia.
What if it targets my character?
Then, as a sort of 'by-rule' you are required to play your character as ill. They have the disease, it's nature, it happens.
No! I don't want my character to die!
Though the Gaia is fatal, this is not always the case. It can't powerplay, so whether your character dies or not is entirely up to you. Characters can get better.
My character is pregnant, what then?
Then your foal is probably going to die or be stillborn.
How did it get here?
The Gaia originally arrived on the scene through Si'less Ivan, who spread it to another old character called Yass, and so on and so on.
How is it spread?
The Gaia (this account) will post and say your character has it, either ICly, or OOCly. There is no escaping it, you cannot get up and run. If it says you have it, you have it. However, if your character comes into contact with another sick character you may let them contract it that way too.
