Once again, her features heated up and her gaze was forced away from his. Staring downwards at her plumed hooves, Rain though franticly for a reply. His words were strange, but true. Maybe she was too good for Dustin. She flickered her banner across her flanks, giving her something to do as silence once again took over her. Opening her maw slowly, her words were out before she could realy think of what she was saying.
"No, im jinxed. Before him was another, and another. One blessed me with a dead foal then harmed me, the other tricked me and abandoned me. I fianly though someone truly loved me when I met Dustin, but he obviously did not."
Her past swarmed out from her chest like a thousand beezes, each word stinging her harder than she last. She felt as if she could cry, but the tears never came forth. Not from her optics anyway. Pitter patter, pitter patter.... The clouds above began to pour downwards upon the pair. The glowing embers in the distance were ebiing out, dying under the fiercness of the rain storm. But the mare did not flinch under the cover of her element. Raising her crets wearily, she met Dorians gaze once more. Her tassles were drenched in rain water, her eyes showed her true feelings benith her bulky exterior, the skies reflected her figure, her sadness and her grief. She just simply stared at the equal sized stag, hooves gripping the geo with causion.

The systems were somewhat messed up today. If a person looked closely at this scene, they would see but two horses as they conversed upon the grounds. But if a person looked from a distance, and with a harsher eye, they would see a third creature, standing in wait like a predator.
Truth was, Seydi hadn't actually been there for long. Nor did he mean to be eavesdropping. As he'd strolled up and heard the familiar voice of the painted shire, he'd been williing to reveal his bodice and greet her - but the rough, husky voice of another stallion stopped him, and instead he had remained a fair distance away and had dropped his crown to graze.
Though his teeth grinded at the floor, his piercing green eyes were gazing ahead, mostly keeping an eye on the stallion, of whom Seydi was somewhat suspicious. From a distance, such as the one Seydi strayed to, the words spoken were fuzzy and unclear, but his skeptical eye did not simply pass over the body language of the stranger. A breed that Seydi was unsure of, he was muscular and strong, and he stood with a silent pride that unnerved the young dappled stallion. He raised his head, jaw still moving mechanically over the strands within, but he deliberately turned his head to the left as if he were looking elsewhere - a bluff, to pretend he had not yet noticed the two whom shared his presence.

Dorian Gray I'm taking you out Killing you slowly You’re falling in love With the wrong man
Silently, eyes showing compassion unfelt for, what seemed to the stallion, decades, the bay reached forth his ebon muzzle, gently touching the mare's shoulder. Torrent continued, plastering the bay's beautifully black mane to his mahogany pelt. Such strange weather – first fires, and now strong a rain. A warm winter it was turning out to be.
A jinx? Sure, she didn’t seem to have much luck in love – what’s wrong with that? – but it wasn’t the end of the world. The stallions were stupid – the first perhaps half smart. But he allowed her to leave, or had left himself. Dorian didn’t know… and he wasn’t going to ask. Raven lips parted to allow his words to enter the air once more.
Jinxed? No, lady, it is not you. Perhaps there is one watching over you, wanting you, but unwilling to tell you. For any stallion that left you was leaving to seek his fortune where it actually matched how low of a brute he was. Whether in heaven, hell, or on earth – they left you because you were unworthy. For you are a great mare… and everyone can see that.
Briefly gazing around to indicate that she was greater than those around, he spotted a dapple stallion out in the distance, seeming to try not to be noticed. Odd… but right now, Lord Gray would not ponder the matter. For right now, he had a mare to “win”.((museless *coughsKinnehPyrefly needs Catalystcoughs*))

She shuddered at his touch. She wasnt sure why, but she did. A ripple ebbed down her bulky bodice and ended with a flick of her banner. Her plumage was thick and strigy, swiping her firmly across the flanks. She twithced her rump and lowered her dial shyly. Would she dare to return his gesture? She did. Nervous, she sent her shaking crest across and touched him gently with an ivory muzzle, running her kissers down his shoulder blade. She moved back slowly, raising her eyes to meet his once again. Even through the rain - maybe due to it - she looked radiant. Her dial was tilted slightly, her mane was entwined with her pelt, her left forelegs was savoured, just touching the geo with a hint of silver. She snorted, steam emitted her nasels and drifted slowly upwards to join the storm clouds above. His words, oh how they echoed within her skull, vibrating off her soul, hyponitising her inner self. She melted at his simple touch, his complex words. This mysterious stag suited his name, though tsrange for such a colouring. "Dorian Grey" She muttered to herself, not realy noticing she had done it. She couldnt speak, she was too entranced at his vocals, she had to keep his talking, s she forced out a minute sentance....
"What do you know of love?"
She stared at him, not noticing the form of her rescuer standing behind in the distance.

Dorian Gray ‚ ‚È‚½‚Í@ƒoƒJ@‚Å‚·B Believe me it's true. ‚ ‚È‚½‚Í@ƒoƒJ@‚Å‚·B This isn't new.
Dorian's placid eyes viewed the mare. He had seduced stupider, and at least she wasn't ugly. Most were - but paints were always at least a little higher than everyone else. Well, besides bays. But bays were special - bay stallions, that was. Particularily Dorian Gray. Head cocked at her words, faint smirk fluttering behind his eyes - though no one could see it.
Lady Rain, I believe you have asked that question before. I don't know if I have really loved. Love is a ladder, one that continues onward, forever, and does not terminate. You can step up or down each time - but you never know how high it goes, how much you know it.
Each word was carefully placed, with a hint of his "seduction" voice. After all... she was scared. And she needn't be - not yet. ((uber short post... gah. Museless.)) ƒhƒŠƒAƒ“‚³‚ñ‚Í@”n‚Å‚·B

Rain withered at his words, nodding her head, vaugley aware of the storm above. A gentle smile took to her lips, head bobbing slightly. Her tassles were drenched and she shivered, yet she dared not move away from the oddly seductive stallion. Banner snakked acorss her rump, aues percking higher as each word passed his perfect kissers.
"I see..."
She couldnt speack, and only just managed to pass away the two simple words. She took a step towards him, touching his mug, but it was at that moment when the shape of her friend Seydi passed her gaze. She took in a sharp breath, but overly ignored him. She didnt need to speak to him, did she? She could ruin the moment that passed between her and Dorian Grey....

Dorian Gray Let me tell you something You're mine Never can you escape Until I throw you away
Bay smiled at the paint, orbs searching her, watching what she was watching, sensing her reluctance as she saw Seydi. He smiled, looking more genuine as it became more fake. She seemed unable to speak - no matter. He could... help her.
I know you said you have had no luck with love... but what do you believe, lady?
His voice was muted, as though he, too was under the "spell" cast here. Of course, he wasn't - he wasn't weakminded. But no matter.

She turned back to the bay stag quite suddently and shook her head, just slightly, confused. What did she belive? That stags were all worthless ebings, that never had one even remotly cared for her? That all her life she had wanted one thing, yet every time she had become so close, she lost it due to thier stupidiy and loathing? Her breaths had become deeper, more firce, as the faces of Bayard, Shadow and Dustin came to mind. Oh god how she hated them fools. They had made her life a misery. She was made to feel like a misfit, like a freak, when truly it was them who should have suffered. And so they did. Each was dead. Each feeling the wrath of Rain, though she had resisted against thier dying breaths.....
"I...I belive that I was born unlovable. Differnt, in some way. That whenever I fall in love, the stag dies, or hurts me, or laughs in my face. I hate it. I hate love.....Yet I crave it."
If she could have cryed, she would have. As if the skies themselves knew, a raindrop landed below her eye, streaming downwards and dripping from her maw. She was angry at the rbutes, aswel as calm, knowing Seydi was nearby. But she couldnt speak with the grey stag, she cared for him. She didnt want it to change. She wouldnt let him die at her expense like the others, or have him give her the news that she dreaded, like he didnt feel the same, or was gay. Some lie that was break her heart once more. She knew, she was cursed never to have a living foal. Bayrds child had been dead at birth. And its mother was beaten for tretchary....

Seydi moved his jaws thoughtfully, chewing the grass and swallowing, before inching a little closer to the scene in order to catch their words in a clearer tone. It worked - naturally - and Seydi flicked his ears uncomfortably as words of love and woe became vials of putrid liquids to his ears. He watched in silence as the two regarded his presence, and he felt his heart sink when Rain did not acknoweldge him.
Some anger soared through his chest then, but not at Rain - no, she was fair and kind, the closest thing to a friend Seydi had gotten yet - moreso at the stallion who stole her attention. Feeling tired of his 'i'm not actually here' charade, he feigned surprise with a smile at Rain, and whinnied in false happiness as he trotted to stand by her side.
As his form drew closer, he slowed down and regarded the stallion with a questioning look - needless to say that Seydi was developing some form of dislike for the somewhat.. tall.. stranger, not trusting the way in which he demanded Rain's attention and kept it so well. "I hope I'm not interuppting anything." Seydi said innocently, touching noses with Rain in a friendly greeting.

Dorian Gray Just another Fly in the butter Watch out She's gone
Dorian allowed her words to flow through his mind, beginning to form the words meant for the mare.
Unlovable? Nay, Lady Rain.... Your love is just higher than those who tried to advance. They found you on a table they could not sit at - and feared. They did not try to rise, merely fell again.
He was about going to finish his speech, but movement caught his eye. Ah, so the stalker stallion decided to come closer. And closer. And closer, until he was right there. His eyes so innocent - too innocent. Overprotective, much?
That is up to the lady to decided,
he answered softly, eyes adoringly cast upon Rain. Let the foolish mare think she was in charge. Let her know he'd do anything for her. It was more interesting when they fell. ((Kinneh... Tequila was a bay, wasn't he?))

[ Yes. he was, the smexy beast! ^_^ ]
Rain fluttered her brow and bobbed her head in harmony with his lyrics, until the sound of growing hoof beats took its place and brought her dearest friend towards her. She turned and smiled, moving her crest towards the dappled grey bodice of the youngster, nuzzling his face, she beamed.
"Well sort of, Seydi, but you may stay. This is Dorian, a friend of mine."
She looked back at the bay stag with adoring eyes, she stared blankly at his beetle orbs with fasination and glee.

The words of the stallion trickled slowly and Seydi did not fall for the smooth charms of the stranger, charms that had so betaken Rain. Seydi quickly noted the methods the stranger used in order to fool his friend, and he would be damned if he would allow it to work without a hitch - but Seydi was polite, and spoke nothing of it.
"Sort of, Seydi, but you may stay." Mixed emotions cursed him at this. Anger that he required permission to stay, anger that she should believe that there had been something brewing here to erupt, and sadness in the knowledge that her words left behind; she could very well of made him leave, and Seydi fully believed now that she would. He felt somewhat betrayed and downtrodden - he, her rescuer, was to be so easily cast aside for this stranger, who's only aim was to twist her around his little finger (if he had fingers, that was). But again, Seydi was much too polite to speak his mind, and instead he gave a little nod; but his eyes did not betray what he really felt through his vigilance.

Dorian Gray And here I thought You were easy And here we are I know I'm right
So... she's one of these mares, Dorian noted. Rain was on hoping for true love after experiancing false; a noble search, though highly unlikely to find any such "love". Seydi - the name of the... strange stallion - was told he was "allowed here", meaning she would perhaps change her location, or send him away. Perfect. He didn't need another messing with his dames - not that a stallion such as Dorian Gray had anything to worry about. He turned back to the dapple.
Welcome, Seydi. I'm sure you agree that Rain is too much of a lady for most of the brutes to truly love. She's much to great for them.
Eyes seemed playful, friendly, hiding the ice of the area that had once been his heart.

Story of my life Searching for the right But it keeps avoiding me Sorrow in my soul cause it seems that wrong really loves my company
Rain smiled at Dorian happily, nickering slightly, she wasnt sure what it was, but his gaze held hers so close to him, she could practicaly hear his heart beat within her audes. She lifted a dagger nervously and became nearer, her chest near enough touching his, with her face arched, maw pressing against his she snorted softly. She was a lady? If Dorian said she was, she would belive it. He was a spider and she was the innocent butterfly, fluttering unknowingly into his net. She muttered something under her breath that sounded something like; Thankyou m'lord and she allowed herself to simply stand and stare into his optics, mug nuzzling his his without a pause in her affections.
Hes more than a man and this is more than love the reason that the sky is blue the clouds are rolling in because I'm gone again and to him I just can't be true

The poor dappled stallion remained still, somewhat torn, as he allowed the other stallion to drool his slippery words and twist them through the mind of the fair maiden Seydi had befriended. His ears twitched as he made heavy eye contact with the strong stallion, speaking almost robotically in reply, too polite to ignore the phrase.
"Much too great." But you're fooling her. His thoughts tried to scream their views but he hushed them, confined them to his mind alone, and instead remained steady and watchful. His manners were too good, sometimes he wished he were a little braver, or more outspoken.
His stomach twisted with fury and sickness as Rain fell into the trap, and Seydi took an enraged step back as he whinnied like a horse gone mad. Silencing hismself, he nudged Rain softly in the side, begging her with lost words to draw away from the stranger, not to commit herself so to somebody she clearly could not trust (even though it was not so clear to her at is was to him. Finally he choked some words, as he continued to nudge her over and over again, each time with weakening emotion. "My lady, you do but mistake."
