A lone mare walked out onto the cliff. She looked down and saw a beach. She looked forward and saw the ocean. What a wonderful place, she thought. Kraze walked aroundand looked around; there were trees to her left, a creek to her left and merely nothing to her right. She sighed and whinnied. Her auds flicked back and forth, waiting for the call...

OOC; Mes has evidently left Des and Zorro and Winny, aw well. You it’s funny, I haven’t read too many post in this board before but in such a short post I think you’ve been most descriptive of the cliffs as anyone has ever been with landscape and such. Incredible. O.o
IC; She never seemed to stay around the island long that could be said for certain. Today Mes had made her forth trip through the ocean’s waters and her confidence was beaming despite the innate fear she might drown each time she entered the frosty liquid. Perhaps one day she should settle somewhere, make a neat home for herself, and especially with the fires still blazing. Earlier in the day, as morning peeked from above the trees and the sun punctured through the billowing smoke where the earth still smoldered [boy is this lasting long, eh?], the mare had returned to the beach which was luckily still free from nature’s wrath. Trying hard to remember her previous adventure, she continued along the soft strip of sand until it became rocky and her hooves threatened to splinter with each step. Evidently, the cliffs remained unblemished as well.
The climb thereafter wasn’t as hard as Mes would have suspected. She carefully thought out her footsteps and made her away up the embankment, slipping and miscalculating only a few times. When on the top she took a short rest to calm the rabbit quick thump of her heart and to contemplate her next move. As would be assumed, the smoke lurked over her, a foreboding reminder of what might come. However Mes didn’t feel afraid, the island was close enough, the sun was high in the sky and the wind blew away from the cliffs.
Taking heed that the wind might change however Mes made her way down from the cliff’s edge to where rock dared meet beach land once more, only on the other side. Here, instead of sun bleached soil and coarse grass that was constantly beaten by salt and the elements, the land dissolved into trees and more pleasant fauna. Some were sparse and seemed malnourished, while others clearly molded to survive their environment; and it occurred to her then, that this might be all that remained of greenery on the mainland if the fire did not soon recede. She dipped her head to her left, a small creek standing away from her on a lower and flatter landing that appeared to trickle out into the ocean; it was probably fresh water then, and beside it, facing her, a –insert colour here? O.o- mare who couldn’t be much younger than herself.

OOC: I can be quite descriptive.....
BIC: Kraze saw the other mare and whinnied, hoping that the other mare wouldn't mind a small conversation between them, for she was quite lonely these days and needed someone to talk to.
OOC: Run on sentance. Oops.
