Kyoto walked along the edge of the cliff, partially gazing down into the ocean so far below. The waters were golden, belying the lives they had stolen, even taken from those willing to give it, taken from those tired of this maddening life.
From the distance the two year old filly appeared to be a shadow walking across the sun. Yet, if one were closer the falling sun made her coat glisten and shine, a prize despite her young age. Her mane and her tassel, though tangled, shone while her hide glowed with splendor and almost glory.
Kyoto stepped away from the edge then, and settled herself down, not caring that no shelters were nearby if the weather turned for the worse. It looked promising to be a clear night, anyway. She turned her head to gaze at the horizon, watching as the sun completely disappeared and twilight, the time that was neither day nor night, fell across the land. Her orbs then scanned the land around her and she could not help but wonder if any stags would appear during late twilight, or sometime in the night. She sighed lightly, bowed her neck, and closed her eyes, going into the state that was not wakefulness or sleep.

His daggers hit the cliff and pounded into it like the waves that lapped the shore, so daring and brave as they crashed against the sturdy and strong cliff.. many of Storm's old mares had gone, he knew Kyto Sunset from the Shores but she had never lived there.. and so he guessed it had never worked out. With the recent loss of all the equines mares were hard to come by and if you found even one decent mare you were lucky. Curse was here looking for that one mare he was not going to find.. because most mares were already claimed. Storm was no longer lead of the Sandy Shores, Curse of the Sea was now lead and had not stolen the position from his friend. He had fought a intruder and won making Curse the lead and now Storm was angry with him.. Curse chose to ignore Storm as long as he could and getting out was one way to get away from Storm's rage.
His dark blue pools did not expcet to find the black form which he had seen a few times on the Shores walking the Cliffs and looking for a home. A warm smile spread on his maw as he looked at her glistening coat, she was still in good health and had not been affected by bad weather.. so this would make her a good member for the Sandy Shores Herd.He knew Kyto was fairly young only two years of age so he was a bit more out going when it came to her case. The ivory stallion stopped by the onyx mare, the muscles in his hide flexing as he stopped and his canvas glossy from sweat. Chord flicked his flanks out of habiat as he looked at her and spoke, "Pleasure to see you again Kyto Sunset, tis me Curse of the Sea I've become lead to the Sandy Shores, so would you like a place to live?"

Kyoto turned to look upon the stag and she blinked once. Yes, she remembered him. She flicked her tail lightly and shifted her weight. She snorted softly at his words and replied, "Good to see you again as well, Curse. You cut to the chase quick, don't you? Actually, yes, I am looking for a place to live. Wandering around aimlessly isn't all it is cut out to be."
She gazed at him with her deep, darkened pools that seemed to either direct light, or absorb it so nothing could be seen. Her nostrils flared after she took a deep breath of the night air and she awaited Curse's next words.

He had not the time to stand here and talk. There was always someone who needed him and he was going to try and make the Sandy Shore's herd one that everyone wanted to join because it really was that powerful. He closed his eyes for a long moment in time and listened to the same ocean that he had at his sandy paradise crash against the walls of the cliff he stood on and try to bring it down just because the ocean was strong enough to do that, and maybe it was fun to batter yourself against a huge mass of rocks for thousands of days and thousands of nights. And if that was something that was enjoyable then Curse had nothing else to say on the matter. The seagulls screamed at each other and foughr over whatever food they could find. He opened his eyes and looked at the black mare.
He smiled warmly, "I have no time to beat around the bush, for if I am not here collecting mares then I could miss one as special as yourself. But if I am not back home and with Magic I am neglecting my mate, I need to do things as quickly as possible. Though it seems rude to some I have not much time to talk and I come here whenever I can but someone always seems to need me back at the shores, and then when I'm back home everything is fine and then I travel back out and am needed from the place I just left. This world is confusing."he chuckled softly and watched Kyto with the same blue color of orbs, the color of the open ocean that was clear and blood and the waves frothed with new white foam.

She listened to the air as it whistled softly through the air. Her ears twitched lightly when the stag began to speak and she listened to his every word, despite the appearance that her concentration was elsewhere. She flicked her tail and lifted her face up into the breeze when it blew by. She sighed softly and then turned her gaze upon the ivory colored brute named Curse.
Her ears twitched once more and she replied, "You flatter me and yes, the world is a confusing place. Pushing you first one way and then the other." She shook out her mane before continuing, "Very well, I shall join your herd on one condition." She let the words sink in for a moment before saying her last tidbit of a phrase, "If I find that I don't like life in your herd, I can leave whenever I wish."
