Dancing on her hind talons, the Black Rose reared and stood straight up. Her lips brushed the fruit that she longed to grab. Jumping slightly, her teeth found themselves around the wrinkled, old apple, still left haning in the tree long after spring had past, and winter had come.
Falling to the ground, she munched happily on the fruit, her smoky banner flipping over her white washed hide. Her powerful muscules rippled over her shire frame. The white hairs that were all over her reddish-brown coat made her red roan appearnce seem more beautiful in winter.
She was a shire yes, and the torn ear and scars that littered her bodice shone white on her dark skin showed that yes, she was once upon an Outlaw. She had been with Denzien when they had charged the Shores horses, and she was there when he went down with Spirit of the Shores.
She was also there when Soul and her had converted to good, and peace. She was there when they had fallen in love. And she was there when he had vanished from her side, yet to return.
She was sad, yes, she missed him so. But she lived, just fine here, in these lands of the Deep Forest, once a powerful herd, brought down by disease and misery. Now, she was the queen of these lands. And when Soul came for her, he would rule as king here. There own little outlaw herd that would roam all of the outside lands, to be free!
Now all she wanted, was..
His love...

Crown low, audes pressed tightly against his skin, the huge shire cross heard nothing of the sounds around him. He was busy thinking and wished not for the distractions of the rustling trees or chirruping birds. He just wanted peace and quiet.
He thought about the days of his childhood. He had hated his so called 'father', Sylver. There was a definate reason from that. But had there been much cause to kill Spirit beacuse of his fathers wrongs?
No, He answered himself with a sharp whisper. His dark patches upon his white pelt were momentarily hidden in the density of the forest, his white markings dulled and distorted his muscular form. He shook his head sadly. Hate had killed Denizen, dragging down the innocent Spirit with him.
Soul didnt pitty his father, Denizen had died doing what he loved - fighting. But Spirit, though proud and dying from his family, should not had gone. Soul knew it was his fault for coming, but so much good had happened beacuse of this.
He had met Black Rose, he had fallen in love with her. His ripped ear flicked upwards slightly, as though keen to here the gentle thuds of her hooves upon the grasses. Lifting his crown, he sighed and stopped. He stood in the center of a small clearing, head turning, choosing his path. As he did so, the memory of Tequilla flooded his mind.
The innocent soul corrupted into hating his own father, sacrificing himself, unknwoingly, only to give pleasure to Denizen. Souls mouth went dry. It had been he who had trained Tequilla. The thought sickened him. Even Soul, son of Denizen, had been a simple pawn in the hateful shires plan to murder his half brother.
Clenching his teeth titly, he turned right and carried onwards,f orcing the thoughts from his mind. His audes were lifted now, letting even inch of sound penetrate his skull, listened for nothing in particular, just distractiong himself from his mind. It was then that he halted once more, head darting back and forth fro the scource. He had heard the thud of hooves upon the grass, cracking twigs as the heavy beast landed. It was then that he saw her.
Black Rose....

Her teeth ground together as she munched the last fruit of the season. Her banner flicked from side to side, as she swallowed. Her jaw tipped up, and her orbs scanned the branches of the apple tree, praying to find one last rotten apple. Nope, none. With a sigh, she dropped her large shire skull to the turf to sniff at the brown grass, which she lipped at unhappily.
Looking to the side, her torn aud flipped lazily to the side, her scars shone white. Catching a scent in the wind, she let out a wild scream of fury. Another horse! How dare they enter her lands with the sake of her mercy! Spinning around, she caught side of the creature in the brush.
Black and white.
Black and white. Her heart quickened. Black and white. Her veins pulsed. Him.
With a whicker of a lost love, her orbs brightened with a sheen shine. Her talons unrooted themselves to the ground and sent her moving speedily through the trees. She thought he was a ghost, the closer she got to him, the faster he seemed to vanish before her. Stopping before him, her nares quivered. Her talons rooted themselves.
Her dial tilted to the side. She was so afraid he was a vision, that he wasn't real. That he was just there to break her heart once more because he wasn't real. Her orbs shined. She would take the chance of disappointment.
Stepping forth, she reached out. It seemed like forever until their mugs brushed. Stepping back with joy, and surprise, she nickered softly, one word.
Soul.

He stood, his eyes watching her gracefull crest move elegantly sideways, as if hoping to find something from the heavens above her. Scanning over her red roan pelt, he felt his spirits rise inside of him and he couldnt help but nicker. He saw her turn, his heart skipped a beat. She stopped, he stared back at her and watched as she approched him.
He felt her maw rub together with his, his black audes hightened joyfully. He said nothing, but listened to her whisper his name almost silently.
Yes, it is me, my love.
He answered her, in his own, hoarse whisper. His heart was in his mouth, exitment fluttering inside his chest as he struggled to breath, nervousness showing out through his legs that shifted constantly. His banner flickered, brushing against his witheres. He had to move, his face smiling and kind, he forced her head closer and put his neck by hers, head over her shoulders in a close, intimate greeting.

Being wrapped up with him made he feel so..Loved, warm. Her heart raced with his at their greeting. Soft silence fell over the lovers. Her banner flipped to and fro over hers and his rump, their tassels inter twined with each other. Her smokey tassels, his black and white tassels, mixing.
Her skin was pressed to his. She felt his heat against her, warming her. Making her feel so loved once more. She would never let this moment die in her heart.
Moving her jaws up and down on his boa, she reached up to his auds.
Don't ever leave me again.
She whispered softly to him. As if she would ever let him out of her sight again.((Sorry it so short and...blah))

His audes perked upwards towards the heavens, eyes gazed downwards upon the red roan beauty that was Black Rose. His maw lifted in a small, near silent snort, his breath brushing lightly over her lips. His eyes closed as he lidtened to her angelic tones, his body relaxed as he spoke in an equaly soft, tender voice; "Never....I will always be with you, my love." His maw moved itself over her face, caressing her skin with its blackness, his white face gazing over her bodice as his eyelids parted, letting out the light shining within his orbs.
[ Mine also. ]

[Maybe I should reply..] She sighed softly, the air rushing out and then rushing back into her lungs, his scent being brought with it. She glanced around, spring was blooming around them. Flowers, the scents, the creatures; both great and small around them. She listened to his soft reply in her auds, them standing taller on her skull, the raggid aud; torn from her past; was limp. Shaking her dial slightly, she turned so she could look at him, and he her.
Her long banner was arched over her rump, her femme scent of season in the air. She remembered once more of her season, and not wanting him to think she was teasing, she lowered her banner. She wanted a child, but she wasn't sure. They had just gotten back together, hadn't they not? Shaking it out of her mind, she smiled softly. She was just glad to see him.
Her muscular figure was tall and thick, just like him. Her red roan, his patches. They were so much the same and so much differnet in their physical features. But they had something in common in their hearts; they both loved one another.[/sup][/color]

His own ragged ear was only slightly torn, yet the scars of the battle hung low over his crest like an early sunset. They had been caused by a palomino mare, he remembered her name not, but her angry face was vidid in Souls memory. But at that moment, his thoughts were as far away from the mare as they ever could be. For now, all his scences were upon Black Rose. He stared at her, almost unblinkingly, his ears were strained for any noise she may be yet to make, his maw touched her gently, his nostrils flared, taking in the sweet scent. He froze. The scent, so sweet, so aluring, yet suddenly, as fast as it had appered, it was gone, as her banner blocked out the scent of heat.
He was breathing deeply, so close to her, his heart beating in time with hers. He smiled and ran his maw under her chin gently.
"Oh, ive been waiting so long, searching, at last, were together once more....But there is one more question at hamd....Spring is here...."
He grinned stupidly and blushed, moving awkwardly and shifting his weight.

Was he physic, or just had sharp senses? She grunted slightly, grinning sheepishly as she allowed her banner to float freely behind her. Tilting her dial, she thought it over. It had been so long since she had had a child. Her child, Cheap Diamonds, had mysteriously vanished around the time of the War of the Outlaws. Now, she had no true memory of her little girl. Now she wished to be blessed once more with one in her womb.
She spoke with a tremble in her vocals, she was nervous.
Yes, Soul. But I wish for our babe to have a home, somewhere to call home and be safe. I don't want her misery of always being on the move. She needs a solid home.
She said with a whisper. She needed a solid home too. The Sandy Shores was a definate no.. The Tropical Island, she had been denied by the great black steed. She knew that the Vast Desert had been a interesting home, but she dreaded the heat. Maybe the Rocky Mountains? Now that Vinny was gone, the new stag may not be very conserned of her and Soul.. Maybe if they proved themselves true...[/sub][/color]

He awaited her answer nervously, and when she accepted, his maw spilt into a sheepish grin. His heart thumped in exitement and he nodded. Though he himself prefered to move, it was obvious that his beloved wasnt comfortable in this position, moving constantly and losing one another for great lengths of time. He grunted and lipped at her maw fondly before parting his kissers to speak.
"If you wish m'love. But where? And when? Shall we consieve our babe then seek shelter? Or the other way around?"
Audes flickered in question, eyes windering over her bodice as he did so, and a shallow, happy sigh emitted from his vocals.

She grinned slightly as she pondered the next questions that spilled from his maw. She twitched her aud slightly, thinking.
Maybe the Rocky Mountains would be a good place to reside in...
She had a sudden rush for the need of him, the longing for his pulsing body with hers. She flipped her banner in his face as she lept around and took off towards the breeding grounds.
First things first!
She cried back to him, the need growing stronger.[/sub][/color]

He grinned and arched his crest, yes, the Rocky Mountains would be perfect, but as Eose put very nicly; first things first. He trotted along after his beloved, tail swinging happily.
