Under the veil of dark the new moon casted, a free-spirited mare with a dark chestnut pelt and shadowed tassels and banner stood with her front two daggers close enough to shore that the foamy waves slithered past them without any definite rhythm or time. This made the mare happy as she called out to the black sky with strong lyrics of cheer.
She was not happy because of recent occurrences, nor by the fact that she had found this peaceful, pleasant spot to be alone to think. On this night she was happy to be alive, as she was every night, and thus called out to the air, the wind, and the ever-changing ocean to share in her optimistic mood.
Pure love of life and nature filled the beach as she trotted around, occasionally playing in the salty waves. Fate might lead her through tough times in the future, but now was not that time and she was glad to live in the moment.
The lovely fog of the ocean concealed unknown things in the distance, things that the Arabian mare did not care about right now. If anything should come, let it come, and let life and love fill each being with the pure joy she shared with the gentle crash of each wave as it slapped against the damp sand. May everyone be happy on this night, may everyone love living life.
With another loud call to the gulls on high, the mare rolled about it the damp sand until it covered her bodice with its cool, sticky consistency. A joyful nicker parted her kissers as she shook, sending small clumps of sand flying every which way before she took off to play in the cheerful waves again.
This went on until she was completely tired out as the sun began to rise over the blue-green horizon. Though excitement pumped through her veins, the mare lay herself down in the damp sand and watched the fiery sun color the land with flaming passion and making the birds sing and fly in an almost-rehearsed dance. If only all life could be like this. If only all horses could learn to live and love, instead of hate and war.
Alas, that day may never come. But this did not cause the mare any discomfort. No one would rain on her parade, and anyone who tried to control her would find themselves on the wrong side of her temper. Even when that happened, she would not let other's rudeness and evil ruin her fun. If they want to be bitter, that's their problem. As long as she is alive, she would be glad to continue the day with a free spirit and a spring in her step; firm in her morals and opinions.
||Right, I figured I needed to post with Duna and make her an active character. It would be nice if others would post here as well, if they like.||
