[bg=000000][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true] NIKOLAI ____________________________________ AGE 7
GENDER Male
PERSONALITY Nikolai is an extremely arrogant male --- a "stereotypical" Russian. He considers himself to be the toughest, sexiest, and most badass stallion anybody has ever met; and if you tell him otherwise, he will most likely retaliate to prove his strength. He is the typical womanizer: believing that all females should be submissive to their mates and should only speak when spoken to --- and with caution on what and how much they say. He is aggressive and cruel to most that oppose him and he is extremely merciless; holding grudges left and right for the smallest things. Afraid of permitting anybody to see his vulnerable side, Nikolai is very closed off and hides behind his aggressive, dominant nature. If he finds out he cares about somebody enough to have the desire to have them as a friend, he will immediately reject that equine and banish them from his life. Therefore making it almost impossible for him to find love or positive relationships. However, if you were to get on his good side and somehow find a way into his heart, Nikolai will protect you with his life and will stay loyal forever. He secretly desires to have foals of his own and a mate who really cares about him. This stallion is not dark at heart, though he can sometimes come across this way. He has a sense of right and wrong and won’t murder or harm somebody in cold blood. He is also very possessive over those he becomes interested in; not quite caring for them, but always wanting them around as well so he knows he has some sort of control over what they do.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Nikolai is a beast of multiple breeds in his blood: Percheron, Russian Don, Russian Trakehner, and Friesian. While taking the general appearance of a Friesian, his 19 handed height comes from the Percheron running through his veins. Nikolai is black in color, never fading from it’s pure night tinge, even in bright sunlight. His eyes are a deep navy, appearing to be brighter blue in the rays of the sun. His body is marred with scars in many places, but the most noticeable one is across his left eye; jagged and twisted all the way across his muzzle, and it ends at the bottom of his right corner of his lips. The scar, however, does not affect his sight in any way. His muzzle is powerful and blunt, arming him with a fatally strong bite.
Alike all other Friesians, Nikolai is a muscular beast; built like a tank. He is heavily built with a solid, powerful frame, every inch of his body wired with thick muscle. His legs are sturdy and thickly-boned, ending in overly-large hooves. His movement is unfortunately not as smooth as smaller equines’, but he can move with surprising speed when necessary. It is evident he was built for raw strength and endurance rather than agility or accuracy, his great size being his own downfall in a confrontation with a smaller, quicker horse. However, he is still a redoubtable combatant in battle, a perfectly put together killing machine. He is dreadfully strong, with a bite and a kick capable of crushing bones with ease, protected from head to tail by his thick coat; it would be foolish to challenge such a beast.
HISTORY Nikolai was born into a typical patriarchal Russian family. His father was the lead stallion to their small herd, and Nikolai was the heir. He was a natural Lead the minute he was born; he was the strongest, oldest, and most dominant colt compared to his siblings. Everyone in the herd admired him and when he was just a year old, others came to him for advice and leadership instead of his father, Maksim. Maksim was a bit annoyed at first, but he let it slide and ignored it. Throughout that year, however, it seemed Nikolai was already starting to move on up to his way to the throne as Lead of the herd. This infuriated Maksim, because his son who was six years younger than him was already replacing him. Still, he waited another year to see what would happen.
Nikolai had already mastered the art of fighting, and he was rather talented at it. He was agile, quick, and strategized before he made a move. This only boosted the others' belief that he should become Lead as soon as possible --- they idolized his strength. Maksim, in a fit of rage, attacked Nikolai in his sleep one night. Nikolai was far too shocked to defend himself, and he loved his father far too much to hurt him. Maksim kept going, and after a few moments of screams and aggressive snorts, Nikolai gathered his wits and fought back. With one swift motion, he kicked his father in the neck, slicing fatally deep with his hooves, and killed him. His anger had gotten the better of him, and he fled in confusion.
It was that night that he killed the rest of his herd before they found out he'd murdered his father. It took many hours to demolish everyone, because some decided to run away. He tracked them down recklessly until every single one of them were dead. He thought that his job was complete, and he fled. He tries his hardest to forget about that night...but that's simply impossible.
