Dawning Hope
ALIAS Dawn
AGE 4 Years
GENDER Mare. And Proud of it!
PERSONALITY Dawn is caring and compassionate once you get to know her, and she decided that she likes you, but if you didn't know her, she would most likely come across as cold. She loves making friends, but sometimes finds that hard, seeing as she's not exactly the warmest to others at first glance. Dawn can be sort of dominant over other mares, and loves to be the center of attention. She thinks very highly of herself, but doesn't hold it against others. Dawn tends to be flirty, and she attracts attention doing that. She doesn't have a specific social status, she just roams in between them.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Standing at around 16.3 hands, she towers above some of the smaller Arabians that she used to hang around with. Dawn is a dark bay, that fades into a lighter bay as you work your way up her body. She has the typical defined Arabian neck, with the muscles looking as if she was trained to perform the Rollkur technique of holding her head. Dawn's body, although she is tall, is very defined and petite. Her hindquarters are powerful, and they ripple as they propel her forward with each step she takes. Dawn's hooves are a deep glossy black, and above each hoof she has a white coronet band. Cascading down her neck is a long glossy black mane, which never has tangles or mud in it. A long black tail accentuates her muscular body; it reaches the ground and has a similar look to her mane.
HISTORY As a filly, she really had no mother figure, she was mostly brought up by her dad. He was the dominant stallion of the herd that she was with, and he is most likely where she got the dominant part of her personality from. The mares in the herd also helped bring her up, but Dawn never got all that close to them. They tended to make her feel out of the loop, like an outsider.
As she grew up, she distanced herself from that herd, and intertwined with others. She tried not to burn any bridges as she left different herds and moved into different ones; she wasn't that dumb. Dawn had also acquired different personality traits, she had greatly changed emotionally, and the way she now acts is the result of trying to find a personality that she liked being, because she never seemed to fit in when she was younger.
Dawn later stumbled upon the Night Sky herd, and she decided she was going to try to fit in this one. It had all the aspects of different personalities that she liked, and others she didn't. Dawn found it entertaining, and with great hopes that this would be the one she stuck with, she joined the herd.
