The night air had taken full effect by now and the sun had totally disappeared. He looked back and Delilah, nickering lowly. "You may disagree but I think it's lovely in it's own right...be careful Delilah." He paused, "I know you are...but still. I had to say it." The salty spray of the ocean hit the side of his face, it was a bit chilly but you could see everything from up here. Scattered trees, over flooded land with only with little island patches standing up through the water. However the water was a beautiful deep blue, and the froth was white and smelled strong. The sent made the air seem heavy in his lungs as he breathed it in...it was a good feeling. "It's like I can feel the power of the ocean...nothing it perfect but this is where I like to be." He said proudly. He stepped down to a certain part of the cliff and studied the tide. He turned with a devilish smile in his eyes. The cliff at this point was about 9 feet above the water. He was certain it would either make her laugh or freak her out, but he loved to do this. Carefully he stepped back , step by step, hooves clipping against the rock.
His head tossed and he whinnied loudly, galloping toward the edge before jumping straight off the edge. The air flew around him and he crashed against the water with a hard slash, completely going under before bobbing back up. He pulled himself up onto the shore, whinnying loudly to her, daring her to follow his lead. "Come on! Unless you're scared!" Oh yes, if she thought he was deranged, he defiantly was now. Delilah followed after Rhys, not so sure where he was taking her at first but she found that she trusted him. If he wanted her to be with him then he wouldn’t lead her into some sort of danger. It would just seem so counter-productive. So she followed him in the dark, which wasn’t always the easiest thing to do when the stallion in question was black. Her eyesight in the dark was good though and she could hear him in front of her. ”Well, genius, it’s dark so I don’t quite think I can see the view for all its beauty when it’s the night time.” She told him with an edge of sarcasm to her voice though she continued to follow after him. ”Of course I’m being careful,” she replied simply. She didn’t take this chance to bite at him because she could wait. She would find another opportunity to do so and then she would just use the time to explode at him and make him feel bad for whatever it was she’d decided had offended her. Delilah snorted in amusement as he said he could feel the power of the ocean. ”That doesn’t sound odd at all...” She told him mockingly as she followed him to the edge of the cliff. She wasn’t sure what he was going to do exactly until he did it and she looked at him in absolute horror. What the hell was wrong with him? Was he trying to kill himself? ”I’m not scared, I just have a brain. And I am not diving into the sea, thank you very much!” She told him irritably.

[glow=red,2,300]Rhys[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow][glow=white,2,300] Marriage is the tomb of love[/glow][glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow] Interesting. That was the word for this game. The game wasn't 'see who could jump off of a cliff and live'. No he'd half killed himself jumping from the wrong point and at the wrong time during his exploration of the land period. One thing he could tell you was salt water could make you feel awful ill if you swallowed a lot of it, and that drowning was not the way he wanted to die. Even though his whole life he thought it'd be fitting because of his love for the water...no even those few moments, beneath the surface, eyes stinging, watching the light rays shine through the blue water at your lungs felt as though they'd been set on fire and time stood still. It was so quiet under there, he wondered how the off creature he'd see in the waters could stand it. Or perhaps the sea monsters couldn't hear at all. Yes, sea monsters, they were all monsters to him, he didn't like to do anything with them but chase and trample them, sending them floating away into the abyss.
No this wasn't even hardly a game to him. It was about him seeing if he could bend the mare to his will. If he could trick her into jumping he'd know that she could be manipulated, but if she did not, he would simply wave it over her head. Yes, either way he won. "You didn't honestly expect to move to the ocean and not touch the water?! Come on it's a few waves!" He snorted, and laid in the sand, rolling in it. The thick heavy sand shook and slid easily down his frame, but didn't pay him the same favor with his mane and tail, sticking in it and matting it, a stray speck of sand could be found here and there, and his face was mottled with little bits of the substance. When he stood it didn't help him get up much , but at the same time cushioned the impact of his hooves.
"So what you're really saying" He started, looking up to her on the cliff, having to shout over the waves. They weren't raging, or even that hard but still, crashing against the rocks was loud...that reminded him. If she did try to jump he'd be mindful of her not getting to close to the rock edge. If she tried to climb back on a low part of the cliff, the current was strongest and could easily take her with it to the depths unknown. "You're say...I win!" He boasted, now to see which Delilah would come out. "Crazy or not you didn't jump!" He taunted her knowing it would bother her. "So I won and you lost!" He whinnied loudly in enjoyment, slamming his paw against the sand, it piled up against his back feet and buried them a little, making him feel heavier. "The great and mighty Delilah can't take on a measly little jump." He turned to the beginning of the cliff and stood waiting for her. "Come on then, back the way you came...careful not to fall we all know how you want to avoid that...since you lost." He said loudly, gosh he was being a brat right now, but still a careful brat. Delilah was tired, and though she was strong she was young, and he wouldn't hesitate to jump in after her and pull her out if need be. "Hurry up, I'd like to get some sleep before the night it over with. To the victor go the spoils." He was literally rubbing it in her face, stepping back and tossing his head. Yes...either way, he won. Or he'd twist it to look like that. She huffed and stamped her feet up on the cliff as he snorted at her. This was so stupid. And it was just another game but again this one was not going according to her rules. This was going to put her in danger if she jumped off of this cliff and she was pretty sure it would hurt. If she didn’t he would tease her about it and she would be driven to biting him again. If she stayed here long enough then she was pretty certain that he would eventually become covered in scars for every time that his teasing went more than a little too far and she bit him. Hard. She hoped that her first bite would scar. It would bring her some sort of joy, she had left her mark on this stallion. Maybe then she could tease that she’d claimed him instead and he was her little plaything. Well, he was. She would just make sure that he knew that. ”Yes, you win. IF you are trying to prove who’s the biggest idiot.” She told him. She paused before realising that she could get him back for this soon. ”And what exactly are the spoils? All you get is to crow on about how much of an idiot you are,” she told him before she ignored him to go back the way she’d come and find her way down to the sand without having to jump. She slowly made her way over to him, a mischievous little look in her eyes as she approached him. It was her turn this time to circle him, sometimes touching him and sometimes not. Just a little ghost of a touch. Never enough. This was a new game she was going to try out. Once she’d rounded him once she came to a stop. Her scarlet, elegant neck reached up as she nibbled on his mane. ”So what exactly do you win?” She asked softly as she reached up to whisper in his ear. Of course this was dangerous ground to be playing on for the two of them but it was also going to be her favourite game. He’d called her a tease before for no reason, she supposed she’d just have to give him a reason. And then run off and leave him hanging.

[glow=red,2,300]Rhys[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow][glow=white,2,300] Marriage is the tomb of love[/glow][glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow] Rhys about saw red. He was getting a little tired of her pushing him around. It was fine that she wouldn't jump, it just told him more about her. "I'm know precisely where I'm going to land and how strong I am. How does that make me an idiot and you not a coward...oh wait. It doesn't." He snipped, his hips swived and as she circled him. She was playing a dangerous game indeed. One that was seeming to make his blood boil. The whisper in his ear was about the last straw. He reached over, mouth open and bit her. This time he bit her hard. Hopefully enough to draw blood. She deserved it this time though. "If you would like to set the rule for me not to get close to you, you'd better uphold the same!" He practically yelled at her. He wasn't really that mad, he was just...riled up from all the hormones she provoked inside him and knew he'd never get to use. This was just her way of controling a situation. It annoyed him a lot. His head tossed and he squealed at her, stamping a hoof against the ground. ”Suure you do,” she told him while he snipped at her. She knew he was getting annoyed but that was part of the fun. It was all part of her games and it all went along with her rules that were a huge double standard. She could do something to Rhys but he could not do the same to her. Delilah liked these rules and thought he was planning on going along with it. That perhaps he knew the way her rules worked and it was the only way he was going to get what he wanted from her. Along with patience. She was wrong it seemed, though she wasn’t willing to admit it. All the same, it hurt when he bit her. And it did draw blood. She squealed and backed away from him. ”You didn’t have to bite me for it! And it’s not fun when I play by the rules too!” She demanded, stamping her foot angrily. She wasn’t so sure if she wanted to get into a fight with him or not, snaking forward and nipping at him. She just wasn’t going to take being bitten lying down as it were. Not that she would win a fight against him but she had to make a point of biting him back. She thought. She wasn’t really all that sure.

[glow=red,2,300]Rhys[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow][glow=white,2,300] Marriage is the tomb of love[/glow][glow=blue,2,300]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow] She was brave. He'd give her that. Charging back to nip him. and hitting him square in the neck. "Of course not because then something besides what YOU want would matter! I'm perfectly willing to play but you will NOT hurt me!" He shouted loudly, rearing up and striking his front feet out at her. He coal black ears were flat against his head in anger. He didn't mind loosing but he was so tired of her being derogitive towards him. His thick tail, slapped hard against his legs as he flicked it around.
He reared again, whinning loudly. He knew it was wrong to attack her but he couldn't seem to stop himself by now. He darted around to her side and nipped it, not hard enough to draw blood this time but it should at least sting. "I've been nothing but kind! Possibly rude...but kind!" He snarled out, trotting back up the cliff. His chest heaved heavily from his temper, she had a special way of getting to him and he usually never acted like this. In fact he'd never bit a female before now and the guilt was not as thick as he'd expected it to be. He looked back at Delilah angrily. ”Only what I want matters! Why can no-one else see this? It’s so stupid!” She complained, glad that she’d nipped him. It had made her feel just that little bit better. She’d hurt him and he’d hurt her. She wasn’t used to being hurt so it seemed to be all the worse. She wanted him to just play her games. Do what she said. Be hanging on her every word. Was it so much to ask that he worship her? She didn’t think so but apparently it did to him. She dodged most of his hooves as they struck out of her though one did hit her shoulder and that hurt. She could sense his anger, she could feel it rolling off of him in waves hitting against her. He reared And then he nipped her and she let off a little squeal. It didn’t bleed this time, not like the one on her neck that hurt her still. She could feel that it was bleeding and she only hoped it did not scar and mar her beautiful coat. ”Kind, maybe. Rude, definitely. But you try and manipulate me then I will not take it lightly.” She told him coldly, though she didn’t follow him this time. She didn’t want him to hurt her further and he was livid at the moment. She didn’t feel like provoking him further. The games weren’t fun anymore.
