The ocean was coming to an end or at least what he could see of it. Any more land would just be a bother to handle but surely this amount would be enough to impress mares, hopefully enough to follow in his steed and spend their lives with him. Lives that he hoped were never dull, even if they weren't always happy. Happiness was great but there was more to live for than one simple emotion. As long as the emotions were strong and powerful, they would be worth it in the end. Everything passed. That was the beauty of it all. With every fall and rise of the great hot sun so did ill feelings or times. Even death's pain eventually dulled over.
Death. That was possibly the only thing he avoided. It bothered the black stallion greatly and set his nerves into a twisting mess. He kicked back into a strong gallop, circling a small area of the last land he planned on ruling over, bucking and flying sand every which was with great joy. He stood on his hind legs and whinnied loudly, mane tossing , caking with wet sand. That was the wonder of sand though. It didn't stick to you like dirt, and would bother him much less. He preferred to keep himself black as possible
