Hmm. What now? She’d had a lovely little play and the mud felt funny against her coat, cool and wet, but not it was sort of stuck there. The mud wasn’t ready to dry yet so there wasn’t much that she could do about it. She was a little dismayed about this. What was she supposed to do with a dirty coat? What was she supposed to do about the cold? She’d already started shedding in preparation for the summer. It made her all the colder. She’d been a late foal, having been born on the cusp of autumn. She hadn’t seen some of the spring and all of the summer like her siblings had. His voice made her jump slightly and turned to look at him, remembering he was there as well. She’d never forgotten exactly she just hadn’t had it on the top of her mind. She took a few steps over to him before coming to a stop. ”Yep,” she replied. Her ears were perked forward, a little more comfortable and used to this stallion now. It didn’t take her too long to adapt to anything because she was still now so young. ”So when are we going to go looking?” She asked brightly, though she was a little subdued due to her sleepiness. Playing in all these puddles took a lot out of a little foal.

.:.Beaucoup.:.
The little filly was so full of life, it made him almost want to be her age again. It was always the easy life until you grew up. She was by far more relaxed around him today, though he couldn't be sure if she was just a quick adapter or what. She cheerily agreed that she was enjoying herself, then proceeded to ask him about when they were going to start looking for her Mother. "Well, first I want to hear about your explorations. Do you remember what the area was like where you last remember seeing your Mother?"
He was mildly worried about putting too much pressure on the little filly's memory, especially because he only had so much experience in these lands, for he had not been wandering around them long...at least not that he recalled..but still, he would try. The land might be unfamiliar, but hopefully they would venture across another soul or two in their search that would be willing to help them. or so he hoped.

She listened to him and was quite for a moment while she concentrated. ”Well, I remember that there was a meadow and there were some woods. And I don’t remember much more than that and I don’t remember where it was and I don’t remember which way I went.” She said, rambling slightly as she was prone to do. She liked to just keep going on and on and seeing where her thoughts brought her. She felt he needed to know that she didn’t remember an awful lot anyway. She’d never thought she’d need to know these things so she didn’t keep track of it. ”Beaucoup, I’m all muddy.” She complained as if he could do something about it. She’d decided now that the mud was refusing to dry and making her even colder that maybe it hadn’t been a good idea to do what she’d done. Not that she could do an awful lot about it now. Maybe Beau knew how to do it but she didn’t. She wriggled slightly as if it would help.

.:.Beaucoup.:. The little filly thought hard on his question before answering. "Well I remember that there was a meadow and there were some woods. And I don't remember much more than that and I don't remember where it was..." She rambled on about what she didn't know but what she had was better than he expected. He had been briefly worried that she wouldn't remember anything at all. He bobbed his head in acknowledgement, thinking on which direction to go first. He decided that they may as well start east, he was fairly certain that there was a meadow and some fields that direction...
She Looked at him miserably,"Beaucoup, I'm all muddy!" she complained. He looked at her, looking at how mud-covered she had gotten herself. "Not much I can do Buttercup. C'mon let's get moving, and you'll warm up. Plus the sun is still coming up."
