Help Me

Magpie wandered scared over the plains. She felt exposed and she didn't like it. She kept glancing up at the sky and finally her legs gave out. She stumbled over a gopher hole and fell to the ground. She made no effort to get up. She was tired and hungry from walking so far and she couldn't understand why no one had come to help her. She whinnied loudly then set her head down and closed her eyes.

scout was walking by when the sound of the mare hit his ears he pranced after the sound and soon came to a cute little mare her white was turned brown from the dirt he walked slowly over and snickered at the mare hoping she wasn't hurt he touched her softly as to show he wouldn't hurt her his eyes were soft and for a stallion he was very soft and couldent stand there and leave the pore mare all alone.

Magpie heard hooves but did not raise her head. She felt him touch her and opened her eyes looking up into the cutest face ever. She smiled weakly then lay her head back down. "I apoligize for my weakness but I have traveled long without food or water." She told him with a sigh. She coughed then closed her eyes again content to rest here for quite some time. She was not well off at the moment and could do with some rest.

he flashed a bright smile and blinked connecting the two sides of the scar over his eye then he laid down beside her and lightly groomed her "don't apologize you have the right to rest when you want and my name is scout" he flicked his head so that his large for-top moved out from his eyes and his buckskin coat shined "when you feel a little better i will take you to some water and grass then you can graze and bath in the water" he groomed her again and then flashed another big smile.

Magpie smiled appreciating his gesture. She closed her eyes again and slept. When she awoke Scout was still there and she smiled "We can go now if you like." She told him nudging him and gently nipping his neck. She liked this stallion and he was not going to force her to do anything. He made her feel something she hadn't in a while. He made her feel...safe.

he smiled and his fortop fell into his eyes he got up carefully and made sure he didn't kick her he watched her closely making sure she was able to stand his eyes shined like stars and they were soft but strong he looked around making sure there was no danger then he looked back to the mare "so i never did get your name and that is so rude when i'm talking to a mare as pretty as you" he smiled and blinked again the scar touched.

Maggie stood up and smiled at him. She tossed her mane and sighed then stretched out her legs making sure they were not too stiff. She then looked at him and said " My name is Magpie most call me Maggie." SHe glanced around warily then bent her head to graze upon the grass she was very hungry and it tasted fine to her. She wondered why the gods would have blessed her with such a fine stallion but made no comments about it.

he smiled and stood tall beside her watching then said "are you ready to walk to the water it isn't far and there is mach grass there " he held his head high and looked at the sky it looked like it was going to rain and he wanted to get the mare to a shelter by the river that he stayed in he thanked the gods for the beauty that they gave him and then he looked back to her his eyes shining for her.

Maggie smiled and nodded "Ready when you are." She said. She danced on her feet because her legs were tingling she wanted to run but she would later after a meal and a bath. When she thought about it both sounded pretty good even though she couldn't figure out which sounded better.

he smiled and turned and the sun hit his muscles and they poped as he moved he was a strong stallion he moved with long strides if humans were here he would be one to work on a ranch he looked back to make sure she was ok he looked around keeping and eye out and then they arrived at the river he lowered his head to the water and drank he looked over to a cave like thing but it was made out of trees he smiled at the sight of trees and thought home

Maggie followed him quicklytrying to keep up with him. She ended up cantering but that was ok. She paused when they made it to the river and stared in awe. She then walked over to the river and immediatly splashed into the water. She lay down and rolled around glad to finally be rid of the burrs and stuff. She walked out to a deeper part and swam in circles before finally coming back to shore. She was happier now and her coat gleamed in the sun. She drank deeply then turned and ate some grass she couldn't believe her luck.

he smiled and laughed a deep laugh then the rain started to fall it was slow for a wile and it made him looked like he was sparkling then it started to storm the wind got really hard but it didn't seem to bother him at all "i think we should get to shelter" he nodded to the cave thing behind him and then turned to walk to it the rain drenched him and it made him shine even more he was a very big strong stallion and it showed as he walked his muscles rippled

Maggie shook her head and stared through the rain. She then followed the stallion into the shelter. It was warm and dry inside suprisingly. She made a type of bed then lay down and sighed closing her eyes. She shivered ever so slightly because of the wind. She jerked when it thundered and closed her eyes real tight hoping she would be alright.

he watched the mare and stood at the entrance as the lighting lit up the sky it mad him glow he walked over to her and laid down beside her and nuzzled her "everything will be ok i promise" his voice was strong and his body was worm he smiled at her and looked around then laid his head on her back and said "i wont let anything hurt you" he groomed the mare softly he didn't flinch at all then the sound was so loud it could scare the toughest human he smiled and watched the mare closely
