Selina was born to a Light stallion and Dark mare. Strange? You bet. Riana was the princess of the Dark Lord, and Rhapsody was but a simple Pure. The scarlet stallion immdiantly fell for the obsidian princess the moment he laid eyes on her, but Riana did not feel the same. Sure, she thought he was cute and charming, but her mother and father strictly forbade contact with Lights, so she shunned him. Though she acted rude and hateful to him, she could not extinguish the flame of desire within Rhapsody's heart. Before long, the princess had fallen hard for the stallion of chestnut hue, and under the cloak of night, they made their escape together. Traveling the lands far and wide, it soon became apparent that Riana was pregnant with Rhapsody's child. Overjoyed, the two knew they would have to settle down before long, and hearing tell of of a land that lie just a few miles out, the two lovers directed their steps to Night Sky. But just as things were going well, disaster struck. Rhapsody had fallen ill while crossing the marshes leading to Night Sky, and though Riana did her best to tend to him, by morning, he had died of malaria. Heartbroken, Riana knew she must keep going; she had to provide a home for her unborn babe. Just outside of Night Sky, Riana gave birth to a beautiful filly whom she named Selina. Wanting to immediantly cross the border into Night Sky, Riana knew she had better wait at least a night for her baby's strength to return, so settling down, the two waited peacefully. But under the shadows of the night, theives stumbled upon the two, and having no use for Selina, stole Riana and left the babe for dead. Though she fought tooth and nail, Riana had no choice but to be carried away, heartbroken as she watched her little flicka being swallowed by darkness. Yelling out instructions to enter Night Sky, Riana promised Selina that she would return and find her. left with no choice, Selina entered Night Sky, weak and alone.
description
Selina has the fine boned features of her mother, but the coloring of her father. She's rather delicate, much like a china doll. Though so young, she already has beautiful movements, and is about the cutest, most innocent thing you'll ever see!
personality
Rather shy and quiet, she never had the courage of her mother, mostly because she was never taught to have any, her mother jerked from her too early in life. Selina is very kind to most, but she does have a little temper burried deep within her, results of her Dark mother. Though she doesn't understand what happened to her mother, Selina knows to fear stallions, for they are the ones who stripped her of her mother.

night. Her favorite time of the day. Slipping quietly in and out of vision, lucid orbs reflected the full moon and stars, winking down at her so serenely. Snorting in a sarcastic manner, it was hard to believe that this land was at such peace when all over the world, mixed blood horses just like them were being slaughtered in strategic killing camps. But what did it matter? Let the Devils get what they had coming, no one would listen to her. God wouldn't listen, so why should they? Lithe bodice jouncing slightly as snowy pedestals stretched out into a lengthened trot, Loki sighed as a stray branch caught her left hip, the rough bark grazing her permanent tattoo, the only evidence of the Holocaust. But then again, even this number that read H-2115 had convinced no one, they all said she had gone insane; Loki had just taken a simple ranch brand and turned it into a suicidal lie. Screw them. Screw them all, is what she thought. Go ahead and let the filthy b.ast.ards burn in the flames of H.ell, she couldn't say she didn't warn them. Hooves dancing lightly upon the fallen leaves of the forest, hazel voids became locked upon a set of majestic mountains in the distance, their commanding peaks enrapturing her gaunt, sad gaze. A sharp stab of pain hit her hardened heart; she was suddenly homesick for the wild, untamed mountains of Oklahoma. Sighing, Loki kicked dirt up in the direction of the mountains, long legs carrying her away from the familiar sights. She could never go home, there was nothing left there, nothing but the empty peaks and valleys that used to be full of wild horses. But that had all changed. God decided he didn't like this band of wild, half-breed equines, so He implanted the idea of a horse Holocaust in his human slave's minds. They raided her homelands, taking all and leaving none, young or old. And when they were in these little killing camps, the humans just worked them to death. Now her whole family was gone, just as her life and identity was.
Alabaster tail flicking irritably against her haunches, the pale vixen suddenly let a hoof fly, lashing out at no one in particular. A resounding crack echoing out against the vast silence, Loki hardly flinched as she made contact with a large redwood, she hardly even cared. It was strange for her to show her anger and irritability about what had happened, for she had convinced herself that she was beyond all hatred, beyond revenge, and had settled herself down in the embrace of indifference, but she had her moments. Wild, unruly forelock falling across her cheek, Loki released a scream that shook her whole body, right from the tips of her welded ears to the very end fibers of her tail. Why her? Why did God let her live when everyone else died? It wasn't fair! There wasn't anything left here on this barren earth for her, just her and her endless questions. Was this punishment for something? Or did God just hate her? Why? Why? Why? But as usual, the only answer that popped into her head was, God has forsaken you Loki. This is neither punishment nor hate, He left you. He is past it all, He has nothing for you. Grunting slightly, the vixen moved away from the little hollow, convincing herself the further she went, the further she would be from all these heart wrenching questions.
Sculpted head dipping to the river's edge, lips soundlessly collected water, letting the cool liquid hit her stomach like a kick in the gut. Snorting, the femme raised her tail high above her back and waded smartly in, the running water washing all of her problems away. But that was only temporary. As soon as she stepped out of the rushing water, it would all come back to her full force. It would never leave her; it would forever haunt her. Gazing down into the river, a thought just struck her, as if it had been waiting in the bowels of her mind and had just chose this precise moment to come and slap her in the face. Why not just get rid of this pain? Why not just give God a reason to hate her? Her mother had always said that the Good Lord hated those who committed suicide. Well, at least some of her questions wouldn't go unanswered this way. Dropping to her knees, Loki had a fleeting look at the twilight sky, still smiling serenely down at her. It seemed to be saying: Trust in your self-righteous suicide. But then again, she had always been a twisted yearling. Flailing in the now rapid moving waters, Loki forced herself not to go up for air, letting her whole body go slack and be beaten mercilessly by the pounding water. Orbs closing for what she thought would be the last time, a single tear escaped her, her last thoughts flashing before her inner eye. Angels deserve to Die.
Five hours later, a very sodden, waterlogged mare lie upon a soft beach, the salty air stinging her nostrils as gentle waves lapped at her unconscious form. Voids gritty with fatigue and granules of sand, Loki lifted her head slightly to survey her surroundings. Lush palm trees, azure waves, white beaches, was she in Heaven? Standing shakily, it all rushed back to her, popping and flashing before her eyes like some morbid slide-show. Falling into the water, drowning, passing out, and now this. Taking small, cautious steps, the pale maiden swayed violently, her legs weak beneath her battered body. Damp mane clinging to her neck, hazek voids looked angrily towards the night skies, fury and confusion glinting within their depths. Rocking back on her haunches, she screamed furiously at this so-called God, this Almighty Lord who had let her suffer and would not let her die. Stumbling in the deep sand, she fell backwards, hitting the sand with a large amount of force. But it didn't matter; she couldn't even kill herself in the river, falling wouldn't do it. Instead of standing up once more, Loki did something she hadn't done in a long time: she cried. Large, thick droplets of sepia crystals flooded from her eyes, burning her throat and wetting her cheeks. Burying her head into the sand, she sobbed uncontrollably, her barrel rising and falling unevenly with each breath. Death was beyond her, pain was with her, and all she had left was a God who had left her to misery. night fell once more.[/size]

i...cry...when angels deserve to Die
