To be cursed A terrible fate I wish only That i could change the past But alas, i cannot, and now My hands have let you slip from my tender grasp And my life has shattered before me I am dead I am gone I am alone
A thinned black stag was trudging up the dunes of the lands he once called his own. In his state he could not fight and now he had betrayed his family, left his lands to wither without him. But his dearest Curse, such a reliable friend, almost a brother to the lonley orphan stallion, he had saved his mares from disaster and taken them for his friend, helping not only friends, but his family.
Though grateful, the weak mustang was angry. Curse had been selfish by doing something so kind, yet anger was a way of life, and just the thought ebbed the feelings away from his beating heart. His steps were heavy and each felt as if his tender hooves were climbing over shattered glass, each peice tearing deaper into his flesh. He criend out in anguish, calling to his friend.
"Oh Curse, my friend, my brother, come now and save me, i beg of you, please. I am lost without the herd, i have saved my skin to be a traitor but i am sorry......Spirit forgive me..."
His fathers grand lands had been ruined in his sons shame, as the faint dashes of blood smeared from his wounds made a trail back upon the sands, the golden sand he had though of as once beautiful, peaceful and safe, but his maturity showed now that the oceon was a deadly snake, poised and ready to strike....
But you can help me Save me from this fate Come change my past Pull back the peices of my life I have come for you And only you can help me Save me please My friend My brother

He was not selfish as Storm probaly now thought, Curse had fought for the lands seeing the other stallion would have taken them if nothing had been done driving himself and Storm out of the lands unless they were willing to fight back. And since Storm had not said another word Curse had taken over. The ivory stallion trotted along the edge of one of the many sand dunes the Sandy Shores called their own. He did not consider himself Lead Stallion, no more then he had considered himself Beta but Storm had been gone so long, Curse now thought him dead and had not had the time yet to mourn what was a possible lose of his friend and more or less relative.
With each drop of his dagger a grain of sand was seperated from it's friends. His crystal blue orbs watched the waves pull in and out and then flare up like a spitting cobra, waiting to drag it's victim out into the ocean where it would never be found.. he wasn't paying much attention to where he was walking and found himself stumbling over a small rock. Regaining his balance the stallion walked, looking ahead of him instead of at his side watching the surrounding ocean. It was a much smartier move and he acknowledged it though every know and then his gaze would drift to the sea as it hissed in all of it's anger and mighty wrath.. the sea had always been their in his mourn, lose, love and anger and now it was here through everthing he had ever gone through.. it was here forever.
He did not know why Storm would leave Broken Dreams, Magic, himself and the whole entire harem though he had seen it done before so he did not question it. His mane was twirled and slapped by the salty sea breeze, his canvas smelled of the sweet scents known to the beach and their inhabitants. He saw a onyx figure to weak to be Storm but the ivory stallion did not pass it up, maybe it was a intruder from another lands who needed some help to make it to the next day. Curse decided on having some hospitality and walked towards the creature auds pricked and eyes alert for any movement. He watched the stallion's mouth move but could not hear the words as the wind took them in it's lashing grip.
He snorted and the wind also carried the scent of the onyx stag bringing with it the smell of Storm, Spririt and Amber.. though he had never met her he knew she was a good lead mare, when she was alive.Curse bore the symbols of nothing but time alone with himself and being able to think clearly, his body was in excellent physical condition and he was still as sharp as a tack. He looked at Storm in pity and embarassment for his friend. Storm had ruined his whole life, his relationship with everyone and lost everything he knew, and Curse was not going to be so forgiving this time.. Storm had a patern he followed, be strong and healthy, get upset and waste away, get some help, be strong and healthy, get upset and waste away again, and Curse was sick and tiried of it. "Looks like you've waisted yourself again. And you did it right when there was a challenger, and right when you were about to have a love.."he lectured Storm, not rudely but not friendly, Storm needed to stop doing this! And one day Curse wasn't going to care anough to help him. "Forgive you for what? What is done is done, Storm."

He didnt look up, even when the faint hum of hooves echoed through his audes. His friend had come, he scenced that now, and thouh his kin was here, Storm felt alone, more so than before, as if the daggers inside his heart had torn him from the herd, never to re-join, never to call Curse a freind again, and the ivory stallions words, though kindly in tone, pushed the stakes further. His head jerked, turning away from his, col orbs staring back at the oceon behind him.
"Love comes and goes Curses, as my health does. I cant help it when i fall, i am like the sea itself, coming and going, like my father. He is gone and i have failed him. That is why i am sorry. Im worthless to you all, disgrace is upon me. Fine blood wasted, my fathers memory spoiled."
He snorted and turned back to the white beast, lifting his head and looking a little more like his old self, he felt younger now he looked upon the beauty of his friend, the white cleanliness giving the dark stag hope. He wished to be a colt again, just a youngster and able to do anything, but his wish could not be granted. He was now a traitor, and traitors could never turn back into what they once were. As Curse said; whats done is done.
"Forgive me. Save me, I am sorry that i ran to save myself, but i have not wasted myself, no, i have been wasted by the devil, and in hell i shall remain until your light can be spread upon me. It may be your dubbence, brother, but i am the one who is truly cursed."
And with that, his crest fell down once more, a tangled mane slipping slightly over his stone cold optics, empty and dark once moe. His knees almost buckled as he fought t stay upright, the slightest pinch of wind nearly pushing him from his feet.[/sup]

Depression had hit the jinxed mare, she looked around, wondering where her one true love could be, what he was doing, who he was with? She caught the scent of Curse, the new leader, but she wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone, she closed her eyes, wishing that tears of love could fall from her sweet loving opticals. Everyytime she closed those loving opticals she saw him, his face, and the first time they met. The unsure feelings that lurked in her once, now those feelings were sorted out, and she wanted to him, just one last time. She was getting older, almost 7 years old. She was the same mare 4 years ago, but didn't have what she wasted, and she usally never got what she wanted, she prayed that just this one, she could get what she wanted, see what she loved, and feel the pelt of the dark stallion one more time..
Where are you m'love? I wish you were here/
she wasn't sure what happened next, was it her mother, or another spirit that said to go find him, if she really loved him. Finally the scent of Storm hit the mare's nares, and she looked around the sandy shores looking for the sight of her love. She sighed as she started to gallop down the way and saw the dolphins that were swimming in the ocean beside her...she reared and whinnied, and they nickered to her. She spotted the white pelt of Curse and started to head over to him, she lowered her dial in respect to her king. She then saw the black pelt of Storm....she was speechless, and all she did...was nuzzle him. She nuzzled Curse in a friendly way, she looked at him and said
My wish was finally answered..but m'love, what is the matter with you?
She looked at him, trying to stay up, and she moved to his side, for him to lean on, for she didn't want him to fall and hurt himself even more then he was...[/sup]

He looked up slightly, unable to show his happiness due to his lack of energy. His lame legs tried to move towards her but she came nearer and he smiled, nuzzling her back.
"I have been given the curse of my father for i am a failure to the herd. Follow me not, m'love, i must soon go back to the oceon where my trechery belongs, i am simply righting my wrongs, Curse is the only one i need, he alone can help - i hope."
But she was helping him. He leaned against her thankfully and sighed, staring behind him once more. He saw no daolphins, on the sharks that were waiting and, if he didnt make it towards the sea in time, the vulgers were circling, waiting to pick up the pieces of his shattered life......

Everything was like a dream nowdays. The eagle flew ahead of him, each gentle flap of its wings making less noise than each flap of the sea against the sand. Catalyst had travelled far and wide, but this had to be the first time he had walked beside the lethal sea, even as it looked so calm. The gentle blues soothed his dark eyes and he stared at it, and as he shifted his hooves, the feel of the sand beneath them confused and amazed him. His light mustang frame helped him stay upright, but his dark pelt made him stand out, rather like a blotch on a new piece of work.
His eagle cried out to him, and he turned his head sharply to spot the small gathering the eagle had wanted to alert him to. Catalyst's eyes were first directed towards the weaker soul - Poor fellow, must be having some troubles, he thought gently to himself. As he strained to see ahead, he dared take a few more paces foreward, the sand shifting beneath him in a way no other terrain he'd seen had ever done. His eyes darted to the mare beside the black stallion, she appeared to be holding him up. Then the remaining stallion; Catalyst's gut feeling told him that stallion held an essence of harsh superiority, and his feeling was renewed as the words floated over towards his flikcing ears.
Looks like you've waisted yourself again. And you did it right when there was a challenger, and right when you were about to have a love.. Catalyst didnt think that was the most comfoting thing the other would be wanting to hear right now. Even though the dark stallion had little idea what was going on, he trotted foreward carefully to stand before the weaker stallion, head still held low so as not to offend any of the gathering.
"If I may be so rude, sir, but do you need assistance?"
ooc: Wheee. Lets see if any of you recognise him - remember guys, He's Tequila/Omen reincarnated, but he's got no idea hes anything likethat old stallion :B Lets heat this thing up :3 [/sup]

[ XD, CATALYST....gawd, i think you pay too much attention in science, which says alot, seeing as you do absolutly no work. ]
The stag looked upwards towards the darkning sky, the vultures were clearing, was this a sign that he might just survive? He sighed as he turned, the golden sillohette of an eagle was swooping from the clouds, its had only been he who had chased off the vultures, not a sign, not an Omen, or was it?
He looked below where the eagle flew, he spotted a dark stallion upon his, no, Curses lands. He closed his eyes, ignoring the visitor, but he couldnt for very long, as the stranger approched and lowered his head to speak to him. The lowering of his crest felt strange, it made him regain the old feelings of power, the feelings that had been forced upon him since he was just a colt. But he knew the feeling was not intended for him, he was no longer the lead of the shores.
"Yes, but only to help me into the waters. My father ended his life there, his son ended his life there, his enemy ended his life there, its simply my turn to leave."
He answered dully, not bothering to look up at the face of the newcomer. He sighed and shut his orbs, heart pounding slowly against his thinned chest.

If it really was death Storm wanted, in the end there was nothing Curse could do to stop it. Today really wasn't his day he didn't feel like trying to stop Storm from killing himself it was his own choice. Curse was sick of playing these mind games and no longer really cared. If Storm died it would be out of his own free will, Storm was the one who had chosen not to eat and to let himself waste away like this. Those these words may make Curse seem like a ass they are as true as they will come. Today he just wasn't in the mood to grovel and beg and plead for Stom not to fling himself in the ocean and die.. he just didn't have the time to deal with it, he had to go to the Cliffs and see Magic he had to see which mares the Shores still had and which they did not. And in it all he had no time for Storm to play a sucide.
He had other matters to attend to, not saying that they were more important then his friend and that his friend wasn't important he just couldn't let this many hours of the daylight go by his eyes without him doing something to help the new herd he was leading. And if he didn't see Magic soon he knew well she would think he was neglecting her and then go in one of her I hate you and am going to run away moods and would probaly go to the mountain and this time he wasn't going to follow her. He had learned enough about the mountains and knew very well he didn't have good solid footing there and he had been there twice, each time having fallen at least once. The blows had been bad on the second fall but he had survived the first alright.
The sea breeze made his tassles move and dance to the rythem of life on the Sandy Shores. His coat smelled of the fresh salty air and the ocean's waves. The water licked the shore and made a relaxing sound as the wind ruffled the leaves of the palm trees. Birds sang thier sweet and gentle songs, a monkey made noise somewhere off in the distance. A ccocnut fell from one of the trees and acted as a tiny white bomb. The birds' songs were drown out by the scream of sea gulls as they squabble over a piece of fish some other creature had tossed up on the beach, or it had died of it's own free will like Storm was trying to do here. Life in the Shores was usually calm if someone wasn't trying to kill themselves and someone else wasn't having a fight.
The soft music of dulled daggers on the sand greeted his auds as a familiar face was seen to his orbs. "Hello again."he spoke softly to her knowing the she already was really depressed and Storm's state wouldn't make her feel any better. He couldn't blame her for acting the way she did. And he couldn't see why she would stay with Storm unless they truely had a love and at times he doubted how true Storm's love to her was and now was one of these times. He listened to her words and did not speak for the moment should not be interupted. The ivory stallion raised his dial and arched it in the pride he had always had. His body was smooth and glistened in health, his muscle showed with each step he took.. he was in perfect health.
Another stallion came on the beach, Curse didn't smile and flicked his ears back showing his annoyance with what Storm was doing and the arrival of another who seemed unable to wait until Storm had either killed himself or decided to live. His light blue eyes watched the other arrive, "I am Curse of the Sea, Welcome to my home."he didn't bother adding lead stallion for what could would it do?He knew well it would only make Storm more depressed. As the stallion offered help and Storm asked him if he could throw him in the ocean the final straw had been pulled. "I have no time to waste playing sucide with you Storm. If you are going to kill yourself then do it now!."

The stallions dark eyes glittered lightly as words graced his own, a sweet reply for all his efforts, the strength of mind it had taken for him to approach. Though the words that returned to his flickering ears did not please him, nor ease his speedily beating heart, but still Catalyst would have felt rude if he had ignored them. He did not reply, as the other stallion beside him spoke his introduction. Catalyst had seen the annoyance in the posture of the creature, and would have back away, if it were not for the words the fool spoke next.
A flame lit within Catalyst's breast as he narrowed his eyes. I have no time to waste playing sucide with you Storm. If you are going to kill yourself then do it now! How dare he say something so heartless to a broken horse? Well thats one way to kick 'em when they're down, jackass. Andger and confidence rising steadily, Catalyst lifted his head to stand at his full height, muscles flexing as he stepped a few paces foreward.
"Excuse me sir, but I think we'd all prefer it if you didn't speak down to this poor stallion as if he were something nasty you just stepped in. Suicide is no game nor joke, depression is nothing to toy with. Your words show you truely are the Curse the gentle sea has since left behind." [/sup]

Ebony mare was bucking and kicking down the shore line in good spirits singing her beautiful lyrics. Her Ebony veil danced upon her neck, and her banner floated swiftly. With ever buck or half rear her white feathers flew, and her muddy pool seen what was before her, but really didn't see.
"One by one, the rain drops fall. One by one the rain drops fall to me... No one can tell me, the rain drops don't fall in my heart, But I know they forever fall in me... Some say it's funny how I fell for them... But they just keep coming like nobody cares. Are the rain drops the tears of the sky...? Or are they just the tears I've cried inside? Do they cover the hurt of my heart? Or are they just something I've dreamed? How can I be sure? Are they the tale of broken hearts? Or forgotten dreams? Or do they just fall in me....?
One by one the rain drops fall, One by one the fall to me..."
She had finished her song only to look down from on of the dunes and realize her love, brother, his love, and a unknown one were below her. She backed up a little, and if she was a human she would be turning red at the moment. She watched the unknown horse, and saw a scar upon his rump...that scar where had she heard of such a scar. She knew she had heard of it...but she didn't recall it at the moment. She heard harsh words from the stallion...and he was directing them to her love, Curse. This filled her with a little hate...but she hide it within her heart. Suicide? Her brother was trying to kill himself? Magic too was becoming a little tense by Storm's depressed state...but she understood, Spirit was her father too. She calmly walked down to her brother, but sped up when she pasted the new stallion..for she was some what scared. It was a curse her shyness...where her mother was outgoing.
"Storm..."
She whispered quietly to him, the looked at Curse...she could tell he was a little angry.
"What makes you want this? Do your family here mean nothing, Storm? If you do this, for what ever reason, you would hurt others. If you think your unwanted...your wrong Storm. For your sister still loves you...and we, Storm, are the only ones left to carry our father's linage...why Storm?
She hoped she had said the right thing, and didn't offend any one...for all she wanted is to help. She looked at Curse, then to Storm's love...and simply glanced at the other...which sent a shiver down her spine. She returned her pools to Storm, why did he want to do this, she would miss him terribly...but she wasn't thinking of herself when she thought of him killing himself...she thought of many. She gave a sigh, then walked to beside Curse, and gently nuzzled his side.
She thought of the words the other had spoken before she came down...if Curse was a curse...she was glad to have it. She felt he wasn't a Curse at all, he was his love. Only her timid nature robbed her of telling the unknown horse so...She watched Storm but then whispered in Curse's lobe, where only he could hear.
"M'love...why does Storm wish to do this?"
Then she lowered her head to look at Storm, and wait for the next actions to take place...

Storm spoke before his 'friend' could answer. Though his mahogany stallion was new to his former home, he was more of a friend than Curse had prooved to be. So that is what it was. Befriend the lead of the shores then take his lands. Now he has them, he just throws me away, we'll ill show him, ill try.... He gritted his teeth and said nothing to Curse. Instead his turned his cold gaze towards his sister.
"You may love me sister, but i have betrayed our father. I told him long ago that i would prtect these lands with my life, that i would never fail him. But i have, i lost to save my own skin. Curse has taken everything i own, he has even taken my own flesh and blood from me. Im sorry, but i need to see our father, and theres only one way to do so."
His father, unknown to poor, depressed Storm, had visited many of his family over the years, but never came to his son. The death of his first had been to tramatic for him to return, his hate of 'Omen' had caused him to fail to recogise him in his true form, and so, he would not visit his remaining blood, only those he knew as a stallion himself.
Storm nuzzled his sister, then his love, then turned to the newcomer.
"Thankyou stranger, your more a friend to me than Curse ever was. If it was not i that betrayed my lands, it was Curse. My father invited him to live here as a colt, he used me for my lands, he knew i would fall, i have my fathers illness, his own true curse."
He spoke loudly, hoping the ignorant white stag would hear him. Storm had come for forgivness and help, not to be told to murder himself, to throw his life away to the waves.

So many faces crowded around her, but the one that mas most important to her was the one that she had fallen in love with. She felt his nuzzled and it made her so happy to hear his lyrics and his voice was back to the way that it once was. She looked at him and smiled, nuzzling him back. She was strong to hold him up, she would hold the world on her shoulders for him. She looked at Feather and remebered her from a while ago, she smiled and nuzzled her, she was so happy to have everything back to normal....she hoped
Curse, how could you say such awful things. He was with you in your time a need. Stop being so selfish!
she was disgusted by the way that Storm's best friend was acting, so selfish...and mean. She looked at the mysterious stallion and smiled and nuzzled him in a thanks...she looked at Curse waiting for his response...
I thank you so much, for helping Storm. You are a true friend....[/sup]

[this is intresting Curse didn't know he has a mild form of the Gagia and thought all along Storm did it for attention] His auds flattened, he was fed up with this and wanted it to all end. Sure maybe his words were not the niciest but he was pist off and this wasn't the best time for Storm to be seaking his aid. "You have the gagia?" shit. Now he looked like a total ass hole. Why hadn't Storm told him this when they were younger, then all of this could've been avoided. And here Curse thought he was doing it all for attention, and realized what a ass he must seem like but now was not the time to care what he looked like. "Why didn't you tell me this? So this is why you get sick!?"he unpinned his auds and stood erect.
He snorted and stomp his ivory hoof. "How am I supposed to know you weren't just faking it all for attention. Damit that's what I thought. Why didn't you tell me before it got to this?"he ignored the arrival of Magic, his tones had began to calm but only slowly. He inquired this in a softier tone, "Is that why your mother died?"to think they had known eachother for five years, and Storm hadn't told him. Maybe it wasn't important then but if he would have known then he wouldn't have chewed out Storm. He looked at the onyx stallion, his orbs were not cold yet not soft and warm. His attention was directed to the newcomer, "So it would seem."his tones were not cold and threatening, not warm matter of fact and emotionless.. he did not care what he was called and he never would.
He looked at all of them, "I know sorry isn't good enough, not for being a ass but this all could've been prevented, and now I know how."he turned to them all, and looked at them with his same dark blue eyes. "You can ask him to live all you want, do not waste your breath. For to live is a choice Storm needs to make somewhere deep inside himself, not amount of pleading or begging will make it any better. It maybe the Gagia and if it is he needs rest but I would venture to say depression has taken it's toll."and with that the ivory stallion trotted away. Tassles flowed as he moved over a sand dune and out of sight he didn't wish to be here anymore so had simply chosen to leave.

[ooc: Ah, the beautiful way that I drag old skeletons out of the closet. ^^ Here comes the last mare on earth that you would want to deal with ^^.]
Darkness fills the empty void.
And from within there comes no noise.
Hear that.
No you don't.
There's nothing there.
No heartbeat.
Darkness wrapped comfortablely around the mare and though she was comfortable and at home in her own darkness, others were quite the opposite. Saggia. The name lingered on the wind like a disaster waiting to strike...her purpose had disappeared after Denizen's demise. Saggia despised not being able to see that bastard Spirit die, but she had been infected by that horrible disease...surprisingly she had fended it off, odd really, she was the oldest horse around these lands. Her strides were slow and she had a most bored look to her hardened eyes. This is just pointless...a waste of my time, not sure why I've come truly..... Saggia sighed in boredom and trotted slowly through the sands, but it was only once she caught sight of three others that she slowed to a walk again. A twisted grin came to her aging maw and she walked over to the gathering. Her hard eyes watched the ivorn stallion trot off over the dunes and she could have cared less...no, because she didn't care at all. She was seventeen years of age, nothing really bothered her at all.
None-the-less she halted before those remaining and spoke with a fake smile, her eyes still hard but only wisdom lie in their depths. She lowered her head in greeting and it was clear that she was aged well beyond their years. Many scars marred her black bod, but the one that truly marked her, was the scar placed upon her by Denizen; the top portion of her right ear was missing, the same as those who had been members of the outlaw band. My, that seemed so long ago. It took quite some time before she spoke, her eyes studying the others. At last words came from her parted maw, they were quite cold, her tone putting on a false cheer.
Good day...May I ask to whom I speak? They call me Saggia.
Her hard eyes studied each horse individually, she lingered longest on the one that she hadn't seen before, the one called Catalyst...she pondered over this one, but shook her head slightly, ridding her of the thoughts that brought back the good ole days. Saggia put on a falsely cheery smile and awaited the replies of the others.
