Tri-colored colt's perfect daggers split the ground as he walked, cringing every time the raucous gulls squawked overhead. Older yearling body rippled with already stupple muscles as the one who had not spoken in many months continued, hearing only the cry of the seafowl. Painted stag's auds flickered, still searching for a friend, though she knew not what that was. Hitoriaruki had never had a friend - he'd never had anybody, but himself. The living twin... the hated foal... And now the utterly alone yearling. When was his life going to change?
Of course, it was mostly likely never, the young bay paint thought to himself as he slowed and watched the setting sun turn the sky to violet. To be able to fly... To never be scared again. A dream come true, a dream never to happen.
Feeling foal-ish for the moment, catipiller began to gallop, racing the tide, racing the sun, as the sand flew behind her. He stopped, suddenly, whinnying softly at after his race. Orbs turned once again towards the sea... The sea that could take all his pain away. Hesitating steps took Hitoriaruki closer, closer to the water where his troubles would drown.

Deep pools of liquid brown were settled upon the back of a young stag. Crania twisted to follow the colts movements through the sand, his walk breakinginto gallop, then once more into a settling pace. But something was unsettling about where he was heading to. The sea? Why must he go there? Ebon stallion broke forth from the rocks littering the shores, leaping over a slight crevass and allowing talons to shred his beach in half as his barrel tumbled towards the other. He had to stop him, the curses waters had taken a many a lif before. Audes pressed back over midnight skull as kisser openeed to reveal ivory daggers.
"Stop!"
His booming voice emitted, powerful, proud, the voice of a true leader. He slowed, only a few feet from the young creature, his gallops faded into a hault, standing, snorting softly as his chest heaved inwards and out with a type of rhymatic grace. Left foreleg was favored and tilted slightly, the point of his dainty hoof just skimming the lush golden sands. Dial lowered slightly and once more his maw parted.
"Dont do it."
His voice had changed. From dramatic and commanding to sweet and kindly, his tone could change just as the sea could, from calm, bittersweet pools to thrashing waves that could sweep an equine of his feet. He snorted once more, allowing the soft white clouds emitted from his nasels and drfit slowly upwards. He simply stood, waiting, watching the stag for any sign of recignision.

She had never had a friend, she had been close, then her mother came and then her father came. She was never sure if the world was right. Was she supposed to be a princess? She hated it though, she loved the attention, and her parents, but the pressure, the training, that was what she hated the most.Every vein in her body felt like it was about to burst, but never did. She wondered along the lands that may one day be hers, she didn't know, she hoped so, but didn't know. Her eyes started to close as she stood staring at the ocean, till..she heard her father..
She heard Stop! Then after a few moments...Don't do it. Was he ok? Sienna was almost a year old..she was weaned off ehr mother's milk, even though when she was bored, she would suckle. She smiled as she saw something wierd, a colt. A FRIEND! She rushed over and then saw that he was heading for the killer waters. The waters that had taken her grandfather; Spirit. She looked around and painicked, she then saw her father and nuzzled his maw, and then ran over to the colt, and ran to the waters. She needed a friend, and this was her chance to have it, the water would not take that away from her.
She looked at the colt as she ran infront of him and whispered a very silent hi.... He was very handsome, and she thought that her heart fluttered, as she said that. However, she wanted nothing to do with mates right now, she just wanted a friend, a bes friend....could this colt be it? She smiled and then said Why are you going to let the waters engluf you? When I need a friend, wil you be my friend.? i am Sienna Glory by the way. She then looked at her daddy and smiled....and the backed at the colt, waiting for an answer...

Storm stared out at the colt, until something black drew away his gaze. HIs onyl chil, Sienna, was rushing towards the waters. He was about to scream out, to stop her, and his hoovens took a dainty step forwards, but her shy words caused him to freeze. She was helping him, and the tiny smile she threw at him reasurred the young stag, she would be fine. He took a step back, leaving in to her. She would truly become an exellent lead, if ever no colt came, and if she wished to bear the lands. Queen of the shores, Sienna Glory, it had a nice ring to it. But what of Tsunami? He snorted in annoyence, the brute. His parents created him out of lust, not love, and to become future mates with Sienna? It made him sick. Besides, they were cousins, it was wrong, almost as bad as Falls crush on him....

The colt stopped at the Storm’s command, cowering as the thunderous sound attacked his sensitive auds. Again came the sound – though this time not overwhelming. Slowly, trembling, he looked behind himself at the midnight stag. But why should a stallion care about such a pathetic creep? He turned around again – and came face to face with a filly, slightly younger than himself. But just the fact of her being there made the painted one nearly fall into the angry waters, only just saving himself by hopping backwards. What was she doing here? Her questions made him stutter, but eventually he got a few quiet words out.
Why not? I have no one, nothing… The sea has been friendly to me. Perhaps I should repay it…
Knowing he hadn’t answered the question about her being his friend, he concentrated on the water smacking against his body. To lay down now – to never again fear the noise of life, but to only hear the silence of death! But, supposing he may be rude to this unknown filly, he answered her friend question, taking a step past her into slightly deeper water.
What is a friend? I heard the old mares speak of them, but I was the eldest of my fathers’ children, and only I understood the Old Language.
The Old Language – it was such that had named him. Hitoriaruki was walking alone, his nickname, Hitori, meaning alone. He was alone, had always been alone. Was cursed, and blessed, to be alone without noise.

She smiled as he spoke to her, he was like a martian that had just come to planet earth. She looked at the rolling waves that had taken many lives before, and as a sea breeze came, her words trailed with it. Everyone needs a friend....like you and me. i have been alone on this island for a LONGG time, almost a year, learning to be a Queen....it is hard work I tell you, harder then i thought I thought it would be... We all have something we don't like, don't want...just deal with it..k? She then looked at the black figure that was slowly out of eye's view, her dad. He had been sick for a while, and she always wondered..did she get the Gaia? Would she? Could she? She was scared everyday of her life that she wouldn't wake up the next morning. She then caught the words of the colt and thought about it for a moment... A friend is two bodies becoming one, someone that you can share your whole life with and know that they won't judge you. Someone that you can trust......will you be that to me? She smiled, that was a pretty good expliantion and she was very proud of it too. Looking and him as she waitied for his reply, or commments, till then, she listened to the noises that she had become so accustomed to since she was born...[/sup]

Cranium was turned in surprise and joy at her words, his shadow-cast orbs watching with a dreamy look in them. Was this such as a friend? He had never known - but it sounded wonderful. However, unease still played with his feelings, so immature from living alone, even when he himself was the elder of this filly by a good deal, a few bright moons.
But... I don't know you. I could be your friend if I knew you, but I know you not. At least not yet.
Flint dug into the earth to bring himself farther away from the water, his great friend and mediator. At the same time, fearful auds flickered, the noises loud and brash to his unaccustomed ears. Shame burned him a deep scarlet under his painted pelt, though it couldn't be seen to the outside eye. But she, Sienna Glory, she wasn't scared. He felt like a foolish colt in front of her - and his hoof once aganstruck towards the sea. But he didn't move; his mind just threatened that it would make his body move.
