I'm out here everyday breakin' hearts along the way I cause ears to fall and some to lose it all This whole world would be Better off without me Well, I'm the saddest words you've spoken I'm a promise broken
I'm the ballgame that you missed I'm the calls that don't come in I'm every poor excuse you use to cover up the truth I tell the people that you love That they don't matter quite enough There's no stoppin' me once I'm in motion I'm a promise broken
The dun mare's black daggers hit the soft sands and sunk in with her every beat of her trot. The winter must have chilled over these lands, but this place was a bit more warm, a desert maybe? Her coal veil danced across her neck, and her midnight banner flowed lightly behind her. Her midnight velvet was met with a frosty blaze. Her legs were ebony, then met with ivory socks. Her eyes, which were like muddy pools scanned the distance, nothing but sand for miles to see. She felt thirst, and scanned the area for water...nothing. She kept trotting, and her thirst grew. She scanned the area once more. There! she saw a watter pool and sped up to a gallop toward it. Her maw drove into it, and it began to trickle down her throat. Her crane lifted to seek out any others, nothing. She cared not if some one was around or not...for she was a quite one and a little sassy. She didn't like to be pushed around, and she wasn't to trusting of stallions. It seemed she got along better with mares, maybe it's because...she shook the though from her mind. She was far away from that now. The mare had spun five times, so you could call her young. She decided to stay near the water, for now...
Disappointment, disillusion Despair, confusion I've seen it all in their eyes Don't promise you will if you wont Don't say you do if you don't Its alright to say you'll try
Well, I get pushed aside when you move on with your life But I'll stand the test of time in your heart and in your mind You'll think about me now and then Wonder how your life might've been But I will leave you never knowin' Well, I'm a promise broken I'm a promise broken

The golden stag trotted over his brother's land. His long ivory tassels danced upon his tan back. He had not a dot of black on him. From the tip of his tan mug, to the tip of his ivory banner, he was just tan and white. He had white stilts, and pinkish talons. He had white tassels and banner, and a little snipe of white running down his slender face, shaped just like his mothers.
He had deep brown pools that were the most beautiful pools around, only him, his brother and his mother had those pools. Of course his mother was Meg, the great mare of the shores. His father a shire. Yet he was a peite stag, he was a pretty tough one. He had soft, light feathers on his little talons, that could fit in a tea cup, and a slightly dished Arabic face from his mother.
Anyone could see he was more like his mother then his father. But what he lacked in appearnce from his dad, he earned in strength and personality.
With a snort, he stopped at the top of the great meeting hill, where all of his brother's mare meet once in a while to speak. Dipping his mug into the deep pool of water, the pool were Windago and Oasis and Aurora first met. He drank deeply, and then munched on the grass beside it.
For a while he lasted there, enjoying his small feast. With a playful buck, he turned and caught the scent of a mare. He was bored, and not many mares bored with him now days. For a stag of five turns, he was as playful as a coltine. That got him into trouble, but today, he was curious.
Looking down, he spotted a mare by the water fountain, a place where most mares went to when they were new to the lands, simply because that is the first place you find water in the desert. With a temble, he let out a soft whinny, high-pitched like a mares. He stood above the hill, his long creamy banny whipping out behind his tiny form.

Promise Broken's midnight veil dropped to her neck's side, and flowed gently in a soft winter breeze. It wasn't cold here...and she liked that, for she wasn't fond of cold weather. Her forelock covered her muddy pools, she scanned around. She jumped at bit at a loud whinny, she thought a mare had come up. As she turned round' to see a tan and creamy stallion, she was a bit confused. She could have swore she heard a mare, but he was the only one here... She watched him stand atop the hill, the stallion. Her past had lead her not to trust a stallion as much...but she wouldn't bull dog some one she didn't know. Her maw replied with a blow of air...it wasn't treatning...just her way.
The dun mare took a few steps forward, then slung her banner to both sides of her barrel. No further would she walk...he would have to come to her...

A soft glance was shot down to her, as he noticed she would make him come to her. With a thump of his talons on the sands, he whisked his long creamy banner out behind him, and trotted calmly to her. Once before her, his beautiful soft brown, dove shaped orbs landed on hers. A gentle smile was pressed to his kissers, and a bow was placed at her feet.
His dial bent, and his mug brushed the ground slightly, his long creamy tassels spilling across the golden sands, like milk on a table top. With his dial bent under his barrel, he whispered softly in his soft, gentle voice, lyrics dancing on his tongue.
Fair maiden, what brings you to my brother's lands? And what, may I be abliged to ask, is you fair blessing?
His orbs found hers once more, beautiful orbs that gazed deep into her own, as he rose to his full height. God, she's pretty. his thoughts chanted in his auds. He watched her with envy, and envy to know that she would be one his brother's mares. He knew no mare would click with the brother of the lead, and Gaurdian of the harem.
With a quick step aside, he allowed his talons to dance smoothly on the surfaces which he was born to, the Sandy Shores, the Tropical Island, the Beach, and now his home, the desert. He was a sand animal. Flipping his banner up, he danced, 'Flying all of his banners', to her. Like a male bird flashing his bright feathers in the sunlight, he danced. He wanted to play, being the young, curious stag as he was.

The mare's adus pricked, so the stag would come along to her. She raised her head highly and stood in a proud manner...This stag was pretty good lookin'. She shook it away..no...not again.
"Promise Broken..."
Her lyrics danced in the air softly...She didn't know what she was doing here. She didn't belong any where, so why was she here?
"I'm just passin' through I guess..."

Stopping in his tracks, the sand wirled around his talons, as he craned his dial around to her. Looking her full in the orbs with his light brown orbs, he whickered his response.
Beautiful blessing. Mines Thebis. Simple.
He spoke with an air of elegance. His auds flipped to and fro, his creamy tassels dancing in the warm breeze. He turned so he was facing her again. His long bodice weaving and stretching out. His mucsules and thick boa flexing, showing that in turn of his elegance and mare appearnce, he was a stag under the beauty.
Turning, he looked down wind.
Passing through? Why not stay? Tis a good land, we need mares.. Me and my brother is what I mean.
He replied to her other words. His dove orbs turning their gaze back to her. Dancing fires of joy were lighted in his orbs as he gazed at her radiance.

Thebis...such a unique name. She watched him, they were of the same years she felt...five, but he had a much more free spirit. Stay? Stay? Have a home? But what of his brother? What would he wish? She looked over head to see the sun was falling, soon the day would be blanketed by night fall.
"I may, but it is, however, to you and your brother...Thebis."
Her soft lyrics drifted upon the breeze, live with two stallions? How would she get along? This stallion seemed nice...but she had been down that road. She pawed at the sands...much different than the wild grasses. Maybe they're was a patch of green here and there...she wouldn't know until she she searched. She would give this place a test run...

He watched her paw at the golden grains beneth her talons, and a whiskery laugh caught the air. With a gentle nicker, he pushed his nose against her hide. Whisking around, like a cat chasing it's tail, he took off in a firm gallop.
Catch me if you can, Miss Promise!
His deep voice unfirled from his wimper, he turned and galloped around her once, encouraging the game. With a dance of his hide talons, he bucked once, twice.
Turning, his long creamy tassels dancing on his boa as he took off up the hill wince he came. Galloping down it, he let out a bugle for her to find him. Racing to the large watering hole, he jumped into the cool waters. Swimming out, he waited for her to come and fine him in the glorious place. Where there was cool waters and long grasses to graze from.((Tis tiny))

The mare pricked her ears forward and stepped back when the stallion nudged her, play? She turned her head to one side and thought, maybe. She couldn't see him for a while, but then a blow came from him...he really wanted to play? Her legs wanted to run, to catch him...but her mind fought it. All of a sudden she burst into a gallop and saw the stallion. What a beautiful place! She couldn't leave, she was caught in this lands grasps...or was it something more? Her body plunged in the waters...they were warm for winter. She swam toward the stallion, Thebis. She looked at the waters, and saw her reflection. She kind of splashed it around where she couldn't;t see it, then swam toward Thebis. She tried to brush against his face, as a tag your it...

With an excited whinny as she splashed into the waves alongside him, he swam to the other side. The whole time she tried to tag him, but he tried to stay far enough away from her. Climbing out of the pool of water, he sped off over the sands. His creamy tassels danced on his boa as he galloped. His steps landing prefectly on the sands, his boa stretching out and coming in from his speed.
He raced the great willow tree, once beautiful when the desert was a oasis, now gnarled and dead in the yellow sands. He paused briefly, waiting for her to caught up to him. He looked out over the sands to her beautiful physice. ((NO MUSE!!))

As her body lifted out of the waters, she shook the water's away. Then her legs thrust her foreword in a gallop toward him. Her black mane danced on her neck, and her banner was a silky kite behind her. Her black legs with the white socks were almost a blur, and her light gold coat sparkled with drops of water. The sand felt good under her hooves, and she felt as if she was set free from a long spent time in nowhere. Her muddy pools saw the old willow, once, she knew, had to be a beautiful sight...but even as it was a mangled mass of dead limbs...it still had beauty...everything does. As she got close to Thebis she ran past him, but as she did she lay her head on his side and let in run down his side.
"You're it..."
Slipped out as an almost whisper from her maw. She turned right, then left, then head back toward him, only to pivot and head back the other way. She tossed her crane up and down and half reared with her legs before her, as if she was pointed out into the desert. She felt like a filly for now, she felt like the filly she was once supposed to be.

a . kkan xx
The familiar aroma of his very own lands was not new to him, but it had seemed so distant. He wanted to give up his terra, for its sake, but all the treasures that would go with it? How could he part with that? His uncle gave him his lands, he had trusted him with these, he neglected it, but he shouldn't just run away from it, should he? Oh, how difficult being a lead was.
Returning - the steed neared the couple of equine. He kept a close eye on them, fore limbs pushing him towards the target. One, was his beloved brother. He got the beauty from their mother, but Akkan got the stocky figure from his father. The unusual colouring went to his brother, while he got the rich black from his father, and the faint dapples on his rump from his mother. The other; he hadn't met. She was pretty, delicate, and dainty. What he found attractive in a mare. But Akkan was doomed to travel this earth alone, knowing no one wanted his heart, they just wanted his lands.
"Mornin' Thebez, how are y'? And who may you be?"
Charming, candy coated words slipped from his kissers, gesturing to each equine in turn. He ceased his steppings, and awaited their reply. His grammar was atrocious, but who cares? He's a horse.
