<sup>.The. dun mare's muddy pools caught sight of a blacken stag. He had the appearance of a knight. A deep black coat, handsome figures. Thebis had a fiery coat, and creamy tassles...also a handsome figure. They looked so different in color...inyet they were brothers. The blacken stag spoke to both of the equines...but she didn't answer right away. She wanted Thebis to go first, for he was brother to the stag. But the firey stallion left...just like he vanished. Her head turned to look at the midnight stag before her.

"Promise Broken..."

.The. words slipped out of her black maw. Her ebony tassels flew to on side her her neck and they blew forward a bit in a puffy blob. Her forelock covered her muddy colored eye on that same side, giving her the look of angel. But as her name stated, she felt she was a promise broken to all who fell in love with her, and all her befriended her.

.The. mare's golden coat showed dapples, a sign she was healthy. The black markings that ran down her legs until they turned white made her look like she was flying when she ran. Her white blaze made her face look full and undull. As she waited for the stag to speak once more, all she could hear was a gentle breeze stirring up to sands...</sup>
