((just a note, the title has nothing to do with this. I just couldn't think of a name)) Fairly short stilts carried her lazily across the sands. A salty breeze swept by the lone bodice of the morgan female. Out ahead there was nothing to be seen, same as for behind her and beside her. Nothing. She was the only body around these parts at the moment and it was getting fairly boring to her. As that same breeze continued creeping by it tugged endlessly at her tassels, causing them to dance for a long while. She came to a halt where she stood, just as the wind did. Brown colored maw dipped down to the ocean's waters and sucked up the saty liquid. Crania rose once more, water dripping from her chin. Her light colored opticals scanned the horizon, still finding nothing...

./Colburn ./He will burn youXxx
"Do you think that the north winds can calm the south winds?" Or, "Is the milkyway truelly a candy bar that you can take a bite of?" No joke, things like these topics are splashed about the human's headlines everyday, alongside with; "Chaos at the Twin Towers when two planes crash into them." And, "Gas prices are rising fast this time of year." It was crazy out in the real world. Thank god the horses had a hidaway land that they could leave all of that craziness behind.
His rather short tail swished against his rump, sweeping away the flies that bore into his skin. With a snort, he tossed his skull, ridding the flies from his ears too. Finally they abandoned him shortly. He strolled along with a certain calmness that he hadn't had in a long time. Aurora His mind tossed her name around and around in it. How he loved her! Pish-posh, lover boy. You have never loved before.. How can you love now, Colburn; son of Blackjack the Great?"
He nickered softly, and stopped next to a tree. He pressed his skull flat against the cool bark of the tree. How things had changed since he had gotten here! Now, he would never dream of harming a mare, where as he would beat them to the ground in his past life. He had fallen for the very mare that had fixed him right. And a certain scent of the past still lingered in his nares, though he could never figure out where it came from. Or whom it came from...
Turning his skull away from the bark, he continued to stroll down the hill, his long stilts stretching out and eating up the ground. He was one of the tallest horses here.. Besides Windago. He stood a couple inches shorter then the Friesian, for he was a stag of tall breeds. He never truelly learned his breeding lines, and didn't care to. He wasn't like most horses, waving their nationality flags about them as they walked about.
He strolled slowly down the hill, stumbling on a loose rock, he snorted and plunged into a smooth gallop down the hill. Reaching the base of the hill, he bucked and took off in to a speeding gallop for the waves. He splashed into them, his hot skin hissing as the cool waters pressed against his burning hide. Panting, he glanced to the side, only to jump in surpise. A dainty mare stood next to him that he hadn't noticed before. Looking at her like she was something out of the Sci-fi channel, he stepped back. A horse apprearing out of thin air?! No, he mustn't have seen her when he flew past.
Lowering himself to the gentle waves, he laid down and allowed the waves to wash over him. Once cooled off, he stood and shook the water free. Climbing back to dry lands, he beckoned to the mare.
"Come now. Don't stand there too long, the waves will make your hooves purned. They will hurt after a while. Also, don't drink the sea water; it will make even the toughest horse sick."
He spoke neither of his name, or what her's was. He didn't speak of the land or anything. He spoke of common sense, that she appearntly didn't have. [occ; Don't take offence, he is that way]

A wisp of wind passed by the dun mare. Yet, it was going in the wrong direction. Optics turned upon the stallion whom had just passed her by without a glance. She shook a few droplets of water from her coat before exiting the water. Yes, but for someone who is already sick it is healthy, or for those who just enjoy the taste. She said to the spotted stallion. She snorted a bit of salt from her nares before turning towards him.

His auds snapped back. What a loser. Windago must be desprite to have mares for him to allow a mare with no common sense to enter his lands. Wait, ah yes.. Poor Windago. Now Colburn remembered, Winny hadn't exactly had the time to overlook the mares, he had been so worried over Oasis lately. Then where the hell was the Gaurdian stag to help the old stag out? Stupid horses never taking full responsiblity for the stuff they should.
Shaking his skull from side to side, he stretched his long neck out; and laughed in her face. His horsy breath washing over her face, as he laughed full out at her. She was so silly! Good for those that are sick? No! The deadly sea water will kill you! Liking the taste? Well then she had no good taste at all. Truelly, Windago needed to be here to see this.
With a chuckle, he turned around and muffled his mad laughter. He remembered that he was trying to be a nice stag, like Windago. But it was so hard when mares are so dumb. Chuckling, he walked away, his short tail sweeping from side to side with his long strides. His auds were pinned to his skull, and there was a gleam in his eyes at how strange a horse can be.
Finding a shady place under a tree, he pawed at the sand for a while, until a small pool of water; fresh, tasty, cool water. Imerged from the sand. Looking behind him at the mare, he grinned foolishly at her, and drank noisly, making sure she heard him enjoying the sweet taste. Lifting his dial, he shook the droplets of water from his whiskers, and he laid down in the shade. Looking up at her, he notioned to the pool of water.
"That is common sense mare, which you have none. Sea water contained 47% salt that has poison in it. It kills as a snake bit to the fore limb would. You may have some fresh water if you wish to be smart."
He chuckled again and crossed his forelimbs, laying his great skull on them. Looking up at her, he tacked a small frown on his kissers. He needed to talk to Windago about the mares he is letting in here.
"I am truelly surprised that you got into this herd with as little common sense that you have. I guess Windago is still stricken and worried about Oasis to care about who roams the lands. You are a strange one though, everyone has at least a little bit of common sense that tells them not to drink poison."
He told her. He didn't really know if the percent that he marked off about the poison in the salt was all true, but he knew he was close.. For he had heard the humans talking about it at the ranch all the time. He even remembered when the 'Madam's' child went swimming in the waves of the sea, and swallowed too much sea water, and laid floating on the waves like a rag doll.

Auds pricked to catch his lyrics. Such rudeness and what seemed to be insecurity. Well my dear sir, death is not something that I am afraid of. For all I care some human can shoot me, you can kill me, I can be stuck by lighting, or all of the above. I do not give a shit. She stated very bluntly. And concerning who Windago lets into his herd I would say he has very good taste. With the exception of you of course. Learn to shut your mouth and you may get more then two horses respect in your life. Rose spoke once more. She didn't care about the words coming from her mouth. Didn't care for them anymore then she cared about the poison entering her body.

With a snort, he stood and walked away. He didn't want any suicidal mares to be his friend. Being suicidal is an outcry for attention, and he didn't like attention seekers. But he knew one stag that would like to know of the mares in his herd that was suicidal. Colburn knew the past of Windago through Aurora, word spread from her lips that Windago had kicked out all the mares from his past herd that were suicidal, for he didn't like it.
Colburn walked away. It was appearent that this mare didn't like anyone, and wanted to be left alone. He grunted with each step. Silly mares, all he tried to do was help them and they spit it in his face. Maybe it was the way he approached things?
Turning around, he walked back to her, his eyes burning with an anger that used to flame up whenever he wanted to beat the crap out of a mare; "Never again, Colburn. You are a kind soul. Don't think about it..." His mind beckoned him to turn and leave her alone, but he had to put his words into her mouth. Grinning, he slide next to her. Nipping her neck in disipline, he stepped away.
"You should listen to someone who is older, and has been living in this land longer. Maybe you could learn something if you wheren't so busy trying to hide yourself behind crude, rude come backs. And I don't approve of bad lanuage; unless you are truelly using it to hurt someone's feelings. Which you failed to do."
He smiled, then dipped his dial to the ground; muttering...
"So heartless. Oh, well. Everyone thinks that of me. Ohh...Burn!"
Straightening back up, he looked her in the eyes, with his own dark ones. Then with a snort, he turned and gently galloped up the hill he had come down earlier; only the sun was setting on it now. He wouldn't bother this mare much longer. If she wished for a companion and to learn something new; she would follow.

Suicidal, sorta. Attention seeker, no. She didn't say or do the things that she did to receive attention from others. She did it because of her life and her feelings. She cared not about the things that other horses thought of her. She cared not if a human accepted her, seeing as she would never allow that anyway. Her talons picked themself up off of the ground as she began to walk in the direction of the stag that she had just previously spoken with. Rose still didn't know his name, how sad. Having a full, yelling conversation and not yelling their name. That was a first. She came in sight of the stag and sighed. You may be older and you may care about more then I do. But that gives you no right to be a stereo-typical prick. She told him before sighing again and bringing her head down to graze.
