heaven restores you in life
you're coming with me
through the ageing, the fearing, the strife
it's the smiling on the package
it's the faces in the sand
it's the thought that moves you upwards
embracing me with two hands
right will take you places
yeah maybe to the beach
when your friends they do come crying
tell them now your pleasures set upon slow release

"We really don’t catch up enough, Anubis."
Akkan spoke, his gaze fixed on the water’s edge, coming closer, and closer towards the grains of red earth he, and his brother were standing safely upon. Anubis turned to the larger stallion, who he wasn’t related to in blood, but in love. Akkan was still mourning over his deceased twin, and Anubis could feel his pain. Akkan had so much to rethink about his life, he needed a girl to understand, you could see it in his eyes he wanted a family, he wanted a herd.
Akkan had an uncle, and his adoptive mother stranded on an Island, and he had no form of contact with them. He had a brother who burned in the fire, and he had a mother who haunted his dreams. He always felt her with him, even though he only knew her while in the womb, and for moments before she passed after his birth. He still had heart failures that he’d never tell anyone about. He’d gasp, and struggle to breathe for a good hour, just because he’s heart began to beat irregularly. That’s what happens when you’re premature.
Akkan pretty much hated everything about life right now, he was abandoned by his herd, and he was abandoned by his whole family. He was cursed, he was sure of it, completely and utterly positive, that he was born to die alone.
He tilted his skull to the side momentarily, questioning Anubis.
"Do you know where Miracle is?"
"She’s at the island with mum, I hope she’s okay. I really need to go to her, she needs me."
Anubis needed his Princess, she needed him. He needed to embrace her, and feel her breath on his skin. He needed to know she was okay. He remained fidgety, and nervous, because time was running out. Akkan shook his head in return.
"No, don’t. Mum’s strong; you know Aurora won’t walk away from a little flood. Every one will be just fine."
He lowered his mug to the widely spread puddle stopping him from walking any further. He sniffed at the tide, inhaling drops of the tide through his nasals. He could smell that the storm was at its climax, and he and Anubis were safe here.
"You’re lucky to have her. She’s special."
"I know she is."
The sorrel stallion sighed; he still could not accept that he was abandoning his lover out in the ocean like that. He had no idea how she was, where she was, and if she needed him right now.
