The thundering of hooves echoed around the perimeter of the cliff. Giving off the chorus of that similar to a runaway juggernaut. Her nostrils were flared, tail and locks swimming with the wind, muscles going in a rhythmic motion.
Like a storm come and gone, the thundering stopped and silence overwhelmed the area. She inhaled in deep breaths through her ever-flared nostrils. Umber orbs took in the sight of the bedraggled ground beneath her dainty hooves. A lovely home this was to be.
Small steps took her forward, to the edge of the cliff. The hint of a smile crossed her mug as she looked down at the crashing waves. Such a delicate foam yet it has to power to crush the body of a full grown horse. With or without the assisstance of the rocks they were hitting. What a wonder it was to be standing above one of the wonders of the world.

Shatan trotted down he legs showing of his powerful muscles. His pools were black. His nostrils flared and his sides heaved. He noticed there was another preasence surronding him. He flickerd his tail and stood there eyeing her. He reared trying to impress her.

OOC; It's okay. We've all done it at one point or another. ^^ AUTUMN.one A third echo, a thunder of hooves exploded upon the cliffs at that moment, it seemed today there were quite a few equines frolicking around. The wind was heavy, not painfully so, but enough especially with running to whip the stallion’s tail and mane about more than he would have liked, to throw it make in his eyes if you will. Which really wasn’t so much of a problem as a painful stabbing annoyance. Zoal’s fur didn’t really glisten but it gave off a dim shine still moist with the early morning dew that night had left behind, and drying quickly. He had just awoken. All two soon the stallion’s well conditioned ears noticed change in the sound’s around him, instead of three choruses of hoof beats there were now only two. Someone had stopped running. Upon the Cliffs again he figured that it was probably, both other sounds, only mares. And he wouldn’t be entirely disappointed, in fact about to enter his line of view was what might be the pretty little body of a female he had not met, and Zoal would be quite happy to meet her. Unfortunately, he could not yet tell, for the scrawny worn stallion’s nose was afflicted by far too many scents at the moment, some old, some new. The territory really was too frequented. His pace slowed dramatically as he came to what he knew was the edge, the fall. Zoal smiled, amused, that this girl (he could smell her now) was like the previous precariously close to stepping off. Something else caught his eye though almost immediately and he turned his head to watched, loosened his muscles to feel the contact the other animal would have when he hit the ground. A strange feeling of bliss erupted in him as the other male hit the ground. Zoal snorted.

Slightly pointed auds turned to hear the sound of two other sets of hooves approaching. Her slim crania turned back to look at the perpetrators. Disturbing her thoughts, they were. She snorted lightly. Her tail whipped around her haunches in a flurry as she looked upon the two stallions.
If horses had brows her's would have been raised at this moment. What a show was coming from the first to arrive. A whimsical smile crossed her maw before she looked back down at the thrashing waves. With one last blink she turned her bod away and came a down the slope a slight ways.
She chose not to speak just yet. For she was curious to see what the nature of the two was. She tipped her crown back, as if beckoning them to challenge her with something.

Shatan glared at her, his tail swished. He looked at her gorgeous pools. He walked over by her and sniffed her.
Then he trotted and reared trying to show his powerful muscles that were seaming through his black pelt. He then snorted, his nostrils flared. He held his head up high and whinnied loudly seeing what she would do next. He eyed her and waited.

Zoal began to follow the mare as well, beckoned by her smile. He was certainly amused at this point, the feeling that was building up inside him felt like it might just explode out like fireworks (cleanse your minds, sickos! Wait, that’s just me… sorry ya’ll). He bounced along, the dark ‘chocolate’ tail on his rump flipping around with the same lazy movement, up down, left, right, and he moved along with them but still a distance off, there was that edge to remember. Then the other male made a cry. Zoal’s head turned so quickly it might have snapped off, but he had not forgotten this second animal, no no. A smile, so dark, and so filled with sick ecstasy was on his face, and he looked up at the animal the wheels in his head turning rapidly.
Strange thing it was. Quite odd. He acted as though she was in heat, and maybe she was and he somehow missed it? and the horse pranced around and called back to her. Paraded, if you will. Zoal liked it, it just filled him to the brim with happiness. From the moment the stranger sniffed her, to the moment he decided to show off, Zoal loved it. And the scrawnier animal suddenly decided to make a move against this rather handsome (he had to admit) stranger. Even if she was not hisi mare, Zoal felt a sense of duty. For himself.
As I out of nowhere he lunged forward and placed himself between male and female bodies. Opening his lungs he gave a quick grin but it vanished and erupted into a most guttural sound. A most menacing sound. And he decided he might as well milk it, but instead perhaps broke it. His tone took an unusual almost comical pitch, and he said “Well who do you think you are messing with my future wife?”
Granted, horses did not have wives, that was a two-leg, human tradition. But hey, did he sound all that serious?

She opened her jaws to speak for a moment but changed her mind and reclosed it. She watched as the one continued with his parading, a slight smile on her lips as she turned in time to see the other as he lunged toward her.
Her auds perked curiously as finally one of them spoke. She couldn't help but bubble up with giddy laughter after hearing the words that came from his lips. "Your future wife, eh? What makes you think you're worthy?" Trinket mocked. She bumped her haunch against his in a playful manner before looking to the other for some sign of jealousy or other emotion that would make this morning even better.
ooc.//. Ew, its gross.

Shatan looked at her and smiled. His pools glazed, she was so preety he could not help to look at her. But that other stallion, Oh he could not stand him. Future Wife, Eh? He grimaced at the stallion. He was furious, he wanted her all too himself. Easily he went up to her muzzle and sniffed, she smelled so good. Hopefully this would make this "other' stallion jealous, he waited for her.

He had her hooked, obviously the mare was intrigued, interested. Not necessarily in him- and who could blame her?- but in what he was saying, in the silly ideas he let float into the air. They were playing a game. Or perhaps flirting. We’ll just pretend. The most tinkling laugh, in his mind, came from inside her and she quickly responded after seeming so reluctant to talk, and he was relieved that she took the same light tone that he had. “Nothing. I just am, but if you’d rather pass up the offer, well, your loss,” he said as he felt his weight suddenly shift. Zoal grinned, she had body checked him in a sense, and he nipped back at her shoulder playfully, since turning might have been a rather painfully error.
She glanced at the other stallion though, who gave him an odd look, and he moseyed up between the two, quite close to her face, quite close to her breath. Lucky mare to get so much attention. Very much in the mood for some controversy, he glanced to the female, whom he hardly knew, and then bite lightly at the other stallion’s buttocks for his attention. Zoal stared at him hard. He was so small, and so young, and already so much better looking. He held back a laugh. “What’s your name then, kid? You should be running after fillies, not ladies.” Oh dear, more human words.
OOC; Sorry for m absense. Shatan’s so determined, it’s so rare. ^^ And so young, poor little yearling. I luffs him.

She smiled airily at all of the attention she was recieving today. Looks like she chose a good spot to stop, she almost passed this place by for somewhere farther. Just for the thrill of running. She felt the younger looking stallion's breath on her muzzle and looked toward him. She snorted lightly and pulled her head back slightly. "Tsk, tsk there sir. Don't you know about personal space?" She shook her head a bit before turning towards the other stallion, the older one with a smart mouth.
She put on a false expression of anger. "And you there, don't you know that it is common courtesy to give your name before asking another equine for theirs?" Trinket spoke with a fake motherly tone. She winked briefly in his direction before perking her auds for a reply from either.

Shatan gave the mare the attention she deserved, just look at her. The other stallion was older though but he had more spunk. Did he? He could not think about that now. He trotted in circles kind of dancing trying to show of, like always. Shatan stopped suddenly almost looking like he did it on command, something was wrong. But what he senced danger. A snake was near, he heard a rattler. He gave out a shrillfull whinny warning the the mare and stallion. Would they belive him. He was young and a fool. Why bother? She did not care anyways...

Immediately once again the mare responded. Zoal looked at her and nodded as she chided them both for their alternatives wrongs. His ears turned behind him briefly and he took a second to think. Two seconds. Three seconds. If he did not say something soon they would think he was retarded. “Zoal,” he said dryly turning back to the stallion. Instead of answering him, the animal frolicked about in circles, completely ignoring his presence. Impudent worthless foal! his mind was crying, but he pushed the thoughts out, he did not want them plaguing him now.
Zoal lifted each brown velvety, but rather filthy, limb to back away from the cliff’s edge. His fur was dry and the sun was much higher above them now, he could see the glimmer of waves in the distance, not close enough to see them crash into the edge. A faint sound began to manifest then, and if though it was likely he had noticed it before the yearling (as he uses his ears not his eyes to ‘see’ hinthinthint ^^ sorry, ooc moment), Zoal had passed it off quickly. He figured currently the animal was too far away, and the dull familiarity bored him. Small animals were easily broken, poisonous animals were easy to run from. It was in this split second of thought and hearing though in which the yearling suddenly stopped frolicking around. In fact, he even felt the need to scream about. Zoal winced in surprise, his body tensed and he jumped into the air. A smarter stallion, might have hurried away, an elitist on the other hand felt the need to stick around.
How he wished the topic would not be deflected, how he wished to question the child’s motive, where he thought he was going to get with her prancing about and trying to show off. He’d have some trouble climbing atop… well, the kid would get there one day. “Something wrong?” His tone was curious, oblivious, but oh how mistaken that was.

So, she got a name from one of them. Zoal. Interesting, foreign sounding. She liked that. Her eyes stayed on the younger stallion but her thoughts stayed on Zoal. Her mind just loved saying that word. Odd things, minds.
Her skin pricked up along with the rest of her as the one stallion cried out in what sounded like fear. She looked down towards the ground, after seeing nothing on the horizon or in the sky. She squealed in fright and dashed to hide behind Zoal. One of her only fears were snakes, so you could probably understand her actions.
"Get it away." She said with a shudder in her tone. Trinket's umber eyes closed and she burried her face in Zoal's bay shoulder.
