Grey eyes swept over the landscape, taking in it's harsh beauty. The ground beneath his hooves was red, coarse, with pebbles here and there. All around, rocky flats were a plenty, there were jagged outcrops and high mountains, reaching to the heavens.
Large ears pricked forward, pink-nostrils expanded, inhaling the scent of the rocky landscape around him as a wind drifted towards the thickly bodied stud.
His thick pillar-like legs began to move, the rock-hard hooves making a sharp clack against the rocky underfoot as he walked to stand atop one of those rocky flats. He tossed his heavy skull into the heavens, rising off his fore's to stand on only his hinds, and he struck at the air with his strong hooves, screaming a scream that is only meant for one thing. Claiming.
His grey eyes were bright and harsh as he landed with a heavy resounding thud, his nostrils flared as he breathed heavily, his blood pumping hard and ringing in his ears.
He screamed a call again and then snorted, tossing his head up and down as if to say, Yes, this is mine.
While he did not want to be a lead, he felt the need to find a land, take it, and when the right stud came along, submit to him and simply be a Guardian of the herd. This would be a suitable place for a herd.
He moved off the rocky flat and down into a small valley, a small pond at its center. His tail popped against his finely made flanks as he momentarily slipped on loose footing and then righted himself to continue on. His pink nose dipped into the cool water as soon as he reached it, and he drank deeply, keeping his fores clear of the water and stretched his nape to get a drink. He was not about to touch the loose bottom when he had not had his fill - the water would be churned with mud and not be as tasteful.
A noise caught his attention, his head lifting only slightly from the water, his ears flicking to catch the sounds. Slipping loose rocks... The dripping of water from his very mouth. He shook his bulky form and relaxed again, assured there was nothing. But, that isn't always the case.
((OOC: Dont ask about the bolding. I was bored.))
