Picturesque waves crashed down on the shore, it's waters caressing the sand as it left, then pounding down on it again as the current pushed it forward again. The sound it made could be described as soothing, the salty air clung to the by passers and occasionally stinging the eyes. A four beated stride echoed in the air, the impact on the sand almost lost because of the natural cushioning effect the water logged shore had. A hazel coloured mare galloped her way across these shores, her ebony mane and tail flowing behind her as she ran, a few strands crusted with dried salt here and there - since she'd decided swimming had been a good idea - Her legs darkening to charcoal at her knees and hocks. She'd left the Deep Forest, her encounter with a lone stallion there was almost forgotten, she really had no reason to remember it so it was slipping form her mind. Her muscles tensed as a huge wave gathered itself and her hind legs pushed forward, propelling her away from the crashing waters before it could engulf her. She snorted to herself, her optics brightening as she found something to do.
Double Helix, should you come across her here, would be seen trotting into the water, waiting for a wave to build itself up then racing it back to shore the waves occasionally breaking over her back, soaking her pelt. She let out an exited whinny, laughing inwardly at her own antics. She wasn't stupid and she was mature enough to be on her own without getting herself killed but she still found it fun the race with the waves. The cool waters felt good on her hid under the sun and, since she wasn't seeing an others to run with she figured the ocean was as good as any. Curious eyes watched her from above and she whickered loudly, the birds didn't know what to make of her. Her lack of attention made her slower though and a wave crashed over her head, the under-toe dragging her back, deeper into the water. She pounded her legs against the sandy floor, keeping herself from being pulled out too far, when the waters receded a bit she ran for it, her galloping beat more urgent than her playful racing before. She ran all the way out of the water to the sand that was still dray, far enough away from the waves and snorted. She'd rather not try becoming a sea horse again so, shaking herself off like a dog she idled over to a grassed area and began grazing her opicts glancing at the ocean suspiciously, her zinniths pricked and swiveling around to catch another's approach, should there be one.
