each dream....
A thudding sound on the sand. The leg's of the mare cut through the breeze leaving a slight win blowing behind her galloping form Sea washed over her black hooves that dug deep into the sand uprooting it, Ki felt an empathy with the thrown about sand the never settling mist clung over it to. But not the stigma, not the pain.
each hurt....
Some would say that K's eye's were once happy, but that was before. Before everthing before the brief madness and the unhappily ever after guilt that she had lived with after. Never again would she see her birthplace, no father nor mother. Ki had learned not to scream about this make the pain a blank, make herself stop caring. See the life around her as a mist, only seeing herself clearly never anything else.
and every lying taunt...
That was what Ki was doing now staring ahead hardly noticing the sea at her feet the breeze through her mane. For it did'nt really matter did it, Ki's life had shatterd before her eye's. She had watched freind's and family turn against her and had seen the glint of malice in there eye's. That was when it was time to go, and she was still going never stopping never seeing, broken.
is not worth the pain it cause's

His feet pounded on the sand that rained away from him in little cloud with each landing, the hot grains licking onto his legs as the sun burned down high above in the sky. The water seemed so refreshing and so close but the stallion did not dare to enter it, his dark body may have fried in the sun. The ugly scorches from the fall still trailed his legs and back and neck, and burned without fur, but he avoided the water. If anything, in the months following the great fire and the flooding his fur had for the most part evened out and grown back so that it no longer melted together; however matted it remained to currently be. He was content to know that he would be fine and apart from the scarring, no permanent damage had been done to his body. The only aspect that truly irked Zoal so deep that he could scream was that he would forever be reminded of how close he had been to following the stranger into darkness.
His head cleared from thoughts now though, Zoal was only focused on running. His legs pumped fervently, his muscles tensed as he leapt across the beach without stumbling in the sand tracking and hunting like a common predator. New comers and strangers always intrigued the stallion, he had the current desire to know everyone he came across, and so following the scent of what was no doubt a mare dragged him across the territory from the Cliffs to seek out with female. And he wasn’t inexperienced in the matter by any means, after all, practice makes perfect, and he surely needed practice.
The structure of another animal would soon meet his eyes if life had turned out differently for Zoal, unfortunately, he relied on scent and sound instead until he good practically feel her position; sight was not necessary. The first thing that struck him about the mare, was how distressed she immediately came off as to him, and how distant. So he did not say anything, he would let her do the talking- or running.

shush....
The sound's of another equine reached Ki's ear's. She turned to face this intrusion, but then stopped herself and went back to her aimless starin over the beach, over to the sea. Ki had often dreamed of that life. Seeing all that happend through another's eye's, preferable somebody who still had that innocence about them. Still had that acceptence.
nobody can hear her weeping...
Finally Ki spoke with a tinge of bitterness in her voice. "This place put's my life in perspective for me, I don't have to act happy or cheerful" This time her eye's fully swung to meet the stranger "do you come here for the same thing sir?". Without waiting for his reply Ki turned and trotted toward's the sea stopping just short of the waterline. Daring it to take her, to end all the pain. But it never did and the pain never ended.
or see her madness

The mare seemed very undecided about his entrance for a while and he thought she might just ignore him altogether and continue staring out over the water. Perhaps it had been that something happened to her and she was now emotionally crippled, or perhaps she simply liked to watch the waves fold over one another, whatever the reason, Zoal found himself inclined not to inquire. He cocked his head to the side so he too could look out over the ocean, but it was rather redundant of him. The mixed blur of movement grazed his mind, and little more although he tried to compensate. She began to speak now though, and he thought it seemed as if she was finishing a conversation with something else, before he could open his mouth, she continued.
Her eyes met his own, and he only noticed for he had turned to face her again when she’d spoken. Why had he come here? For what he did now. As she moved closure to the water, Zoal followed like a puppy or a hunter. “Perspective frames life, it’s so much broader than that. No no, I tracked a stranger here and to the water’s end.” His voice was pitched in a peculiar tone, rather quiet and without the energy he had earlier had, it was as though she and the landscape sapped it from him.

They asked her if anyone was home...
Ki closed her eyes with a sigh and turned away upon opening them she looked apon the stallion again "some have that view" she murmerd softly "but sometimes thing's need a frame". With another sigh Ki turned and trotted up the beach loving the feel of warm sand on her legs. But as was Ki's peace was satisfied her curiosety came into play.
"No" she replied....
"What is your name?" Ki questioned turning back to face the stllion again, she wonderd about inquiry towards this stranger, but dismissed it as a wild fantasy. She did'nt notice anything but her own body these days... and even then it was a strong force to keep track of. Ki had a split mind she could hardly ever decide on anything. But then that fear was now redundant. Mainly because Ki did'nt care anymore. She tried to care, but she never succeded. The madness had driven everthing out of her, her cares, her future, herself.
"theres only me alone"

The stallion nodded his head in turn complacently with her every sigh and every soft word in a way that said he understood, even though he did not. Of course he did not understand, he did not know her at all. His tail flipped in the air indignantly as she began to move but instead of tiring him as he thought it might, the movement to follow her down the beach, high stepping his feet as though he frolicked gave him a new wave of energy and washed away the sickness of time’s suspension. His head rose and fell once however, where he knew exactly what she was saying, where her words fell together so perfectly and logically and simply that his mind drew a hundred connections instantly. Sometimes, framing a picture cut out the pieces that made it unclear and continue of forever, framing the focal point.
The mare moved her head backwards to look at him again, her neck arched in what he thought might be an uncomfortable position if she decide to remain that way so he moved closure to so that they were ‘level’ with one another. And something caught his eye. On the glimmering back of the stranger whom now addressed him a long scar ran her entire body blurring in his vision with her fur. “Zoal. And yourself? It would be weird to address you, as, well, just ‘you’, I guess. Kind of rude, you know ‘Hey you! Horse chick thing, yeah, you’, eh?” he said, grinning stupidly to himself.

she know's the memories won't hurt her...
Ki bit her lip to keep back a lagh "Name's Ki" she answerd "well it's not my full name but it's close enough". Ki sighed her eye's lost that sliightly laughing expression and returned to thier old sad blank. What was she thinking trying to see others again... it would always end in heartbreak and hate. Ki never wanted to experience that feeling again.
She know's thier only shadows of the past...
Bt she forced herself to stay on the beach, to not run and hide like the scared little filly that she had ben. Her eyes flickerd to the stallion and Ki had to repress another sigh. He probably had a friend, somewhere and what did Ki have? nothing exept a hard to handle body and sad mechanoly thoughts. But not today, Ki forced herself to smile. Today she would be happy, for the first time in years. Forget the memories, but the memories were hard to forget and even harder because so many things reminded her of times past.
But when those shadows rise up...
The beach, the sea, even Zoal reminded her of a haunted past a time when she could'nt say what she liked, could'nt do what she liked. In all entirety a prisoner. Ki's body shook as she tried to force down the memories, finally suceeding she smiled a quavery smile at Zoal.
it's hard to believe that the past is dead

Her eyes glittered with humor and then returned once more to their former state, but Zoal had no idea; all he could go on was the atmosphere, the subtle change in her tone of voice, the way her heart beat, how she breathed and moved, and all this was but a guess in the dark. “Alright, well Ki it is!” he said rather happily but his energy still felt as though it were violently being torn away, ripped from his entity. A shiver ran down his spine and he twitched, his eyes running off the mare and into the water again, his ears listening for the sound of waves. He took a few steps until the liquid lapped at the brown fur of his ankles and darkened them.
Ki was certainly an enigma like his stalker or ‘Angel’, but only less. In all essence there was clearly something wrong, but like most beings that walked the earth Zoal was not equipped to properly sense it. Her body seemed to quiver and her mind might have been at rest but the hundreds of reasons that could have triggered this reaction could not all cross his mind. The idea that she harnessed the use of suppression to foolishly deal with her childhood of sorts could not possibly have occurred to him with just an introduction. Anyone to who it did was a liar or lucky as sin. “So why are you here? If you don’t mind me askin’ of course.” Zoal bent his ears curiously but innocently (as if he were innocent) afraid in a manner that she might explode upon him and chase at him to back off- as many unstable mammals seem to enjoy this charade- and he would be left with a general resentment for the mare.
Not that he could say he particularly cared to begin with; life was only mediocre. He really was a high class— .

they asked her questions...
Ki sighed and tried to smile "I'm a...wonderer I spend most of my time here". Despite Ko's unstable state of mind she would never chase anything off, it must have been something of her past coming to light. The hate of her elders had driven her insane and she still had a spark of resentment today.
she could not answer...
Following Zoal's eyes to the sealine Ki let out another weary sigh. The sea was a tempting fortress to her, it was both savior and killer. A all in one rapid ride. Ki shook her head sending her mane flying. "What is your view on the sea?" she asked apparently at random eyes still scanning the gentle temptress, the most hated foe but yet the most divine protector.
they fed her lies...
Ki had to keep herself from grinning, she admired the sea, it had shelterd her threw off her chasers when she needed solistance most. But it had tried to drown her when she had seeked protection for a completly different cause. I5t had hurt the endlessly crushing water, but yet there was a strange peace derived from letting it carry you where it chose, and Ki strove to be the sea. In all it's form's.
but she spat them up

He sifted his hoof through the wet sand lazily continuing to nod his acknowledgement of her words; if anything, a simple gesture of body language took less effort than words did. Fidgeting he kicked his left front leg forward to bring down a fountain of water. The droplets pooled together in the air for seconds before they showered just on his cheeks and further out to see. Zoal turned around to face her, his feet high stepping like a soldier’s march in the water. “What is your view on the sea?” He knew full well what she meant, but his mind roared with laughter and he let a small laugh part with his lips.
“Only a haze,” he said coolly, choking on his laughter. Words caught up in his throat for a second, a poke of self pity but Zoal pushed it off with little effort; he was better than that. Unlike how the water mesmerized Ki the stallion was practically free from its effect and lure. It brought two things to him, the stalker and peace from a fire. So in actuality, it was probably a savoir for him too, but spirits if Zoal would ever admit to that. “How come?”

Ki shook her head breaking the eerie spell the sea seemed to be content to put her under. She blushed and loked away "oh nothing..." she murmerd stepping away from the shoreline "just memories", Ki made a brave attempt at a grin as she turned back to Zoal. But her face soon fell. She had known itwas a bad idea to come here, the sea always trapped her. It was a mercy somebody had been here to stop its pull.
Ki hesitantly took a step forward. The speel may have been shatterd but the seas pull had not, Ki had fragmented memorys of hjer older sisters impulse to go to the sea. But that impulse had been to strong and Ki's sister had thrown herself off a cliff to try and reach it. Ki's eyes filled with hot salty tears. But she banished them. he could not show her weakness and sense kof loss to anybody. Kidid not trust many posessed of the starnge inclanation that they would drive her out. Just like her family.

By this point in their brief conversation it was becoming easier and easier to place the pieces of the puzzle together and figure out what was going on; and that was, that like so many horses in this spirit forsaken territory this mare had a problem. Heat radiated off her body and her heart had quickened, fear, humiliation? Zoal could not determine what brought on the small changes he observed, and he ignored them instead. Feet raised he splashed clumsily out of the water after her. “Memories?” a grin meandered onto the contour of his face and Zoal watched her intently as if his eyes might drill a hole into her skull.
“If the water was a sanctuary we’d all be dead,” he said bluntly motioning away from it. Did he care for her? Like that other fool he had come across, or was this just a fit of boredom? No duty compelled him, nor any reasoning or knowledge. The stallion continued to skip further away from the water hoping she might this time follow. She might have been crying, she might have been on the verge of breaking down, but as long as she came away from the water she would be fine, and maybe she would realize Zoal had a hard time picking this up from her features. Maybe she would notice he was half blind. Then again, he was an actor too.

Ki blinked her eyes and shook her head, as if waking from a deep dream, or as it were in her case a nightmare. Turning to Zoal, suprised and not a litle offended by his words she was trying to froget again when he darted off. "Hey!" she yelped all thoughts of forgetting disappeered as she launched into a canter after Zoal.
Finally she skidded to a halt and gasped. hat came next suprised een her. "Your right" Ki heard herself say and gaped as the words formed naturelly in her mouth. Ki gazed at the sea with sad eyes, but yt a faint smile was on her muzzle. "She- no it.." Ki cxorrected herself turning away from the sea "is temprementel", Ki almost gigggled. It sounded almost like a sulky childs words, one who had to amit something was not real but still believed it. Ki fianlly couldnt hold her mirth back and let out a small chuckle, then bit her lip as if afraid that it might have damamged her in some way.

His tail flipped and played in the air as he picked up speed knowing full well she was following him and like youth who still had hope and still had dreams, the naïve fancy, she called out to him. Zoal’s feet sunk deep in the sand and flung it into the air, and as she gained her slowed, his muscles tightening and pulling him to a complete stop. His breath was quick and heavy but already calming as the stallion turned to face her, his gaze trailing across the mare’s face. When she laughed, so did he.
“Temperamental? Well, strut right in love, it don’t need to be temperamental to drown yea,” he laughed, observing how she seemed to bite her tongue. “Why do you suppress yourself?”
ooc; it doesn't give much to go on or build on, sorry. harhar, trying day.
