Dainty beats crossed the fields with lifted heels, trying to reach over the waters. Though the floods were seeping further underground and the grass was begining to emerge in long tufts above the liquid, the filly still struggled to cross with ease. Her thin daggers broke the surface of the geo and get trapped several times in thick patches of mud, it was difficult to manouver without getting stuck or falling. She was well balanced, pulling her grey pelt over the waters and out of the mud. Legs thick with the brown dirt, she stumbled towards a higher patch with dry grass littering it, though some was dead due to over watering and too much sunlight. There was no shade of the little island surrounded by shallow waters, all the trees were either in the waters or fallen. Mju snorted and flickered her tassles, trying to brush the mud of her hind legs aswell as drying herself. After a few minutes in the scorching sun, though, she felt like rolling in the mud just to keep herself cool. She sighed and lay down at the edge of the grassy island, allowing some water to lap up onto her legs and stomache. She was quite lonely, her mother and father had been caught and killed by wolves during the jorney to the wild equine lands. They had belived that it would be better for them if they escaped humanity and joined a herd, to raise thier child into an equine society instead of allowing humans to force her into slavery. But for them, the paradise would never come. Oh if they hadnt taken the shortcut, perhaps they would still be alive, all three playing in the flooded fields, dancing through the waters. But Mju couldnt undo the past. He parents were gone. She had to get over it. She lay, scorching hot, tired under the summers rays. She was weary, her eyes were closing though she knew it would be bad to sleep. She stayed awake, audes high and perked upon her head, listening for danger.
