The stars will cry
The blackest tears tonight
And this is the moment that I live for
I can smell the ocean air
And here I am
Pouring my heart onto these rooftops
Just a ghost to the world
That's exactly
Exactly what I need
From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day
A coal shaded stag stood amoungst the the fresh grasses. A black stain standing out in a sea of green. The sun shone brightly, but the ever-present, dark, grey clouds loomed in the sky. The threat of a storm was forever following this particular horse, his exsistance plagued with storm and death. A knowing of something more always nagged his black soul, cursing him to forever carry the weight of an alway's present danger. The signs were every where, even in this seemingly peaceful placed. This forgotten shadow of the horse he had once been was alway a reminder of the doom.
Every nation has it's tales, whispering rumours of the end. Stories passed down since the first being came upon the earth. Stories of creation, and destruction, peace and war, death and life. Right now the this he wished most was for it to come, for his misery to leave him, for the pressure of untold secrets, and hidden pasts to leave him, and curse the land with a hate that nothing had every felt. A blazing hate of hoove and tounge. It will burn away the pitiful beings of the earth, and start anew. Like a perminate winter, never- ending, always a knowledge of the first snow, but never knowing when it would fall. This is what he must live with, these Apocalyptic Visions.
The lippizzan bred horse turned his graceful, ebony head towards the green- blue of the sea with marked the horizon like an enemy, waiting to attack. Only showing enough of it, to strike fear into the hearts of those who saw it. He snorted, challenging it. He knew no true fear for the earth, nor of the unknown, for he knew the worst, he knew it well.
For a second I wish the tide
Would swallow every inch of this city
As you gasp for air tonight
I'd scream this song right in your face
If you were here
I swear I won't miss a beat
Cause I never
Never have before
The blackest tears tonight
And this is the moment that I live for
I can smell the ocean air
And here I am
Pouring my heart onto these rooftops
Just a ghost to the world
That's exactly
