Naught but gratefulness and joy shone in the young mare's eyes. Her leader was wise... but wasn't all sternness, either. No, he was one of them. She happily tossed her mane into the wind. She couldn't wait to see the Rocky Mountains, though it'd take her a while to get used to the feeling of climbing to and from home all the time. If this hill took her energy right out, she had some serious work to do... Hopefully it wouldn't be as steep as she'd imagined. Maybe the herd doesn't even live in the mountains, perhaps just beside? No matter... A herd is a herd.

Snowflake did not answer for a while, just stood there, staring blankly. After so many boring days of lounging beneath the elm, waiting unsuccesfully for a lead to come and welcome her to his herd, she could not quite concieve one actually coming and doing so... The white mare stood there dumbly, head slightly cocked, as she goggled at the stallion. At last she came to her senses, smiling at Freedom, her head dipped in embarrassment. Ah, what a way to start off. "Er...thank you..." she managed to murmur, before trotting to Kurime's side, walking beside her to meet Fate in the mountains.

Kurime smiled at Snowflake, a bit envious of her cool and calm nature. Obviously, Kurime had a lot to learn... She hoped that Freedom wouldn't favor Snowflake for her maturity. Then again, Kurime didn't want anything to come atwixt both the herd and her ivory friend. She flicked her tail in aggravation, flicking nosy flies off her rump. Life was complicated... At least the greatest of her troubles were gone, now. She continued walking, lost in thought. Her hooves kept a steady rythym, trotting at the same pace repeatedly.

Freedom watched them and then went into a canter to catch up with them. Once he was beside them he smiled lightly. He kept up at a trot with a small smile on his face. " At the Mountains there are afew other horses. The lead mare who is named Munchie might be up there. The mountains are pretty smooth for a climb so it is not as if you have to climb up a sheer cliff side." He said with a smile before looking up ahead at the Rocky Mountains up ahead.

Kurime blew a breath of relief. She wasn't the world's most atheletic equine... The giddy quarterhorse was happy and exhilerated all at once. The lead mare, or as Freedom said she was named, Munchie, was sure to be great. How could she not be, with a leader such as the bay stallion guiding the herd? Kurime was positively filled with faith and trust with her new 'family'. And better yet, Snowflake was coming too, so she wouldn't be the only newbie. That was something nice to lean on. Kurime bagan to realize that the only speaker was Freedom, but she had nothing else wise to say, so she decided to keep her trap shut. Until she had to talk or die. That was an edgy possibility.

Freedom continued to trot on towards the Rocky Mountains he let out one small sigh. He had not seen his mate in a year and he didn't know where she went when she left.He turned his head over towards Kurime " You will enjoy your new home and all of the rest of the herd will welcome you with an open heart." He said with a smile and raising his head up and looking around him at the sights.

Assured greatly of her herd, Kurime was freed from her no-talking spell. She nudged Snowflake with her muzzle. "Did you hear that, Snowflake? No more climbing tedious hills and more horses..." Kurime allowed the long grass brush her legs, the wind blowing her mane back. She took in all the beautiful scenery. If this isn't even the mountains, imagine what it'll be like there... wow. She thought in absolute randomness. Then, a swarm of bees interuppted her daydreaming, and she nickered lowly in annoyance.

Snowflake shivered with pleasure. "Yes, I heard that loud and clear...." She squinted her eyes against the sun, smiling. She watched her little hill and the elm tree recede into a speck as they drew further away. Funny, she thought, I never expected that I'd grow attatched to that worthless chuck of dirt... But as she walked with Kurime and the lead of her new herd, she caught herself hoping that somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, there was an elm tree, whose branches offered shade for the weary.

Kurime did not notice Snowflake's longing for the Ocean Cliffs. She was content with moving all over the place... As long as there were no scary ominous caves embedded in the mountains... Gah! I'm such a foolish coward... Kurime brushed her unhappiness away, detirmind to make good thoughts of her new home. "We greatly appreciate your kindness, Freedom." She mumbled embarresedly. Why did her cowardice have to drag so stiffly made manners along? She dragged her hooves on the ground, absorbed in her own mishaps.

Freedom smiled to them both and when he noticed Snowflake looking back towards the Elm tree he smiled once more. " There are some trees up at the Rocky Mountain. They are surrounding a clearing full of water though." He said while then going into the Rocky Mountain terriorty. He walked towards a smooth path that other horses had made over the years and began to walk upwards. (Left to the Mountains.)
