Thundering hooves struck the ground with force as the group of horses were lead near a building. A sharp whinny pierced through the large crowd. Rearing, a young yearling made her presence known. Her darkened hooves struck the air as she was separated from the herd that she had once known as her family. A rope was thrown around her neck and a yank of fearful pressure pulled at her throat. Many men pulled on that single rope to help her once again feel the earth. She let out a scream, hoping to hear a reply from her parents. She snorted and a shot went into her side. Blackness, total darkness and nothingness. Where....Where are you mom? Aren't you gonna.....help me?
