Name: Silver Splendor (Splendor)
Age: 8
Breed: 3/4 mustang, 1/4 non-pedigreed heavy workshorse (Shire or similar)
Lineage: mixed-breed stallion x mustang dam ("Siren Song")
Height: 16.2hh
Sex: stallion
Children: none
Place Of Birth: Rocky Mountains
Physical Characteristics: As his name implies, Silver Splendor is a grey horse - his coat is faintly dappled, and his mane and tail are charcoal-grey, not quite black. He has a white streak starting just above the point between his eyes and running down the length of his face to his muzzle. His right front foreleg has a white sock. His lineage had given him a heavier, more muscular build than is typical of a standard mustang, and his hocks are very slightly feathered. He has innumerable small, nondestinctive scars from fights, and tends to looks a bit ragged, particularly when shedding his winter coat. In summer, however, he's another picture entirely.
Personality: Stubborn and moody, Splendor can be an aggressive stallion with either gender. He dislikes other stallions, and has made several bids for ownership of territory, none of which succeeded. He will pursue mares if he finds them alone, but if they're cooperative or friendly, he usually warms to them and can be very protective. (He's never kept a mare long enough to produce any foals that he knows of, unfortunately.) Normally standoffish, when Splendor wants something, he'll try to take it - but if you let him be, he'll generally do the same.
Sample Post:
The sun was setting, taking with it the heat of the day and ushering in the chilly night winds. The distant whinnies of other horses floated on the air, and for a moment the silver stallion raised his head and looked in the direction of the sounds - but the herd was far off, perhaps on one of the other mountainsides. Not his business...
Lowering his large head, Silver Splendor returned to the business of demolishing a little patch of dandelions he'd found among the scrub. His grey-and-white muzzle twitched as he felt for the soft leaves, unable to see them at such close range unless he turned his head.
He was a big horse, certainly not a "pure" mustang, but of mixed heritage. His heavy hooves and strong legs hinted at the trace of draft or Shire blood inherited from his halfbreed father. His dappled grey pelt, still smooth and thin because of the summer warmth, showed the scars of past fights - the slashes of sharp hooves or the indents of cruel bites. Altogether a fairly average looking horse, except for his size, Splendor was neither a wild rogue nor a proud leader - just another stallion, not handsome, not ugly, not special.
Not yet, anyway.
{'Pologies for the shortish sample post. My intros are usually longer, but I wanna save some steam for actually introducing him around other played characters. XD I trust it'll be alright if I start him in the mountain area?}
