.apollos-
noun, plural
1. the ancient Greek and Roman god of light, healing, music, poetry, prophecy, and manly beauty; the son of Leto and brother of Artemis.
2. a very handsome young man.
I was given the name of Apollos. In greek it means "a handsome young man". I am a stag of course, I'd feel weird if I had a name like that and wasn't of the male sex. My mother blessed me with that name when I turned out to look like my father. Bless their souls; Windago, brave knight of the Isles and Oasis, fair maiden of his heart.
I have recently turned three times around the sun, for I am a young fellow. I have the strong bloodlines of the Friesian in me along with the graceful roots of Appaloosa. I am proud of my heritage. I am about 14hh, but I am rather young and should grow to be 17hh. I do not have a mate, and nor have I had children. I am too young. I was born on the Tropical Isles of course.
I have almost the exact apperance of my father, many of his old mares and friends sometimes confuse me for him. I am jet black with long, curly tressels that sweep on my neck. My tressels aren't as long as my fathers, but I am sure they will grow to my chest like his. I also have the feathers of a Friesian on my hooves. The only difference between me and my dad is I have a small star on my forehead. But my tressels tend to sweep over it and cover it up. I have my father's eyes, dark chocolate and caring. I did get light bones from my mother, which makes me not as heavy as a normal Friesian. I am still proud.
As you have figured out already, I am a very prideful young stallion. I am mischevious, for I am young; but I do know when I can play, and when it is time to be serious. I am very caring like my father, but I don't let others push me around. I am very shy around girls.
If you are wondering about my history, it's very short. My father died during the winter. He was twenty-two years of age, and the cold just got to him. I forget where my mum went...she kinda just vanished. I have inherited the Tropical Isles, but I'm kinda scared of my new responsiblities. Also, after my father died, all of the herd seemed to vanish just like mum did. I don't know who is left. I'm going to try to make my parents proud though.
