Gypsum ____________________________________
AGE six.
GENDER stallion.
PERSONALITY motivated, pragmatic, brutal, absurd, sprightly
Gypsum is opinionated, somewhat brash, and can be incredibly brutal in both opinion and in action. Luckily, he is a cheerful fellow who much prefers to laugh than cause an argument. He still enjoys conflict, conflict moves the world, but he finds humour can be just as effective as chewing on someone’s hooves. Gypsum needs a purpose, something to aspire towards, or he becomes unbearably restless. Highly motivated, this stallion is always looking for the next task at hand. He loves a challenge. Although he once had the opportunity to contest with his father for lead, he was too young and too weak and quickly driven out. Finding that living in the shadows of a herd lacked any glamour, Gypsum quickly move on.
He loves sound and motion. Gypsum often sings songs both bawdy and melodious, but more often bawdy. His humour is both dark and light, and he prefers to keep company that might engage him with wit. He is whimsical in nature, despite being pragmatic in much of his decision making.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Very pale, very thin, and with vibrant blue eyes, Gypsum sometimes could be described as ghostly. Even when he walks, he does so in shadows, preferring to keep the company of dawn and dusk, of tall grass and forests, than the brilliant daylight. Maybe he prefers the darkness, maybe his strange, large eyes just can’t tolerate the light.
Although thin, Gypsum is well muscled. What wild horse wouldn’t be? He takes immense pride in his speed and agility, able to disappear and reappear with ease. Of course, it is embarrassing when the other horses catch sight of his bright fur a few moments later. That said, Gypsum is often bizarrely filthy. Whether it is mud, or stagnant water and weeds from the sea, this stallion doesn’t shine brightly anymore. Even his dual tone mane and tail are often thick and matted with mud. He is approximately fourteen hands and three inches tall.
HISTORY A simple life and a simple family with no troubles, that was Gypsum’s childhood. He had siblings and friends and a mother who loved him. He had a sister who he adored. He loved to be constantly moving and exploring new places, even if it meant breaking a few rules or straying from safety. He was the typical, impetuous youth. He had many an encounter with strange creatures and stranger horses until being driven from his home by his father. After a long journey, Gypsum came to Night Sky. Since, he had wandered, keeping to the Deep Forest, and the ravines within.
