Artemis' gently thudded as she made her way along the lands. She knew a stallion owned this place, but she couldn't be sure if he was kind, or a bastard out right. Her mind drifted to the stallion she'd met earlier. He wasn't someone she'd want to associate with. She could never tell if he was being sincere or if he was just trying to flirt with her to get some action. Artemis let out an irritated snort and pressed onward. Her long banner whipping from side to side, thwacking against her flanks to keep away unwanted pests that swarmed around her in annoyance.
The land was pretty nice actually. A gentle breeze toyed with her mane, fluttering it against her neck. Hooves left perfect impressions behind in the dirt. Her warm amber eyes were locked a head of her, scanning around for any signs of movement. Above the sun dipped behind a few fluffy white clouds. Birds chirped nosily in the trees. She saw a few take flight, the branches bobbing from the release of their weight. Dead leaves scattered around the ground, clinging briefly to her ankles.
Both ears were turned forward, her forelock hanging over one eye gently shielding it from view.
Artemis found a shady spot and stood beneath it, letting her back leg bend so that it was relaxed, and the hoof resting on its tip. Her whithers rippled gently as she stood. She was hoping to find someone that was sincere and didn't have any kind of poker face. You never knew how they really felt and if they only wanted mares for mating purposes only. Nothing more. She would tell the stallion off for that. She remained standing silently, watching the scenery before her.

Miloh Sturdy hooves carried the black and white stallion down the slight hills that he called his home. The day was clear and the air was crisp. Miloh moved with a purpose. He was patrolling his hills for intruders without reason for being there. It was true that he would tr to hear out a reason for a horse being there, but Miloh would defend himself without pause should someone attack him.
All seemed well as he marched along but suddenly a scent hit his nose that he could not ignore. It was not a predatory scent. No, it was the scent of another horse, a female at that. Nearly instantly he relaxed because the threat was much less. He knew never to underestimate the power of a mare but he doubted she was here to steal his land from him.
He followed the scent on the wind until it brought him to where one of the few trees stood. Nestled under it was a pretty white mare, much smaller than he. as he approached her, he noticed her relaxed stance and hoped that he was not going to wake her. "Hello there." [/i] he said gently. "My name is Miloh. What's yours?[/i][/blockquote]

Artemis raised her eyes to the stallion before her. He was a gypsy vanner. Handsome too. She offered him a smile and replied:
"Hello Miloh. I'm Artemis. I hope you don't mind be being here. I'm looking for a home," She said brightly, perking up immensely.
She raised her hind leg up belly level before stomping it back down again relieving some tension that had built up in her muscles.
She flicked her long banner again, a gentle breeze toying with her mane. She snorted through her nares, omitting a gentle snort. She felt as though she wanted to approach him, but hesitated. She cleared her throat and decided to intiate it and took a careful step forward.
"I-I hope you don't mind me coming a little closer or coming on to your lands. I was nervous that you were one of those stallions that had plenty of poker faces," she admitted to him, her warm brown eyes catching the fading sunlight, making them glow amberish. One ear cocked back listening to the birds chirping in the trees.
"Your place is lovely. What is it called?"" she questioned him gazing around in wonder and marvel. It really was a gorgeous place to live. Plenty of sunlight came through here and it was peaceful and had a lot of serenity. She returned her gaze back onto Miloh and patiently waited for him to respond again.
Perhaps her luck would change and she would find the rightful home that would remain that way for a long time.

Miloh Tender ears flicked back and forth as he listed to the mare's words. He loved the way that she seemed to perk up when he approached her. He enjoyed the fact that the mare was forthright with him. If there was one thing Miloh couldn't stand it was horses who were fake. Her names was Artemis and it seemed to oddly fit her.
Well if you're looking for a place to call home, you made the right decision in coming here. This is Sunfall, and in my opinion one of the prettiest things in all the lands. That is , until I met you. [/i] Miloh complimented Atrmeis with a smile and he meant what he said. "If you would like, I can give up a bit of a tour."[/i] he offered. In truth, he didn't want to leave the mare so soon. He seemed to enjoy her company. With a swish of his tail to knock away the flies as he awaited her reply. The light caught white white coat and gave it a bit of a soft glow as he noticed her eyes. It was if he could sink into them. Like he could see directly into her and who she was.[/blockquote]

Artemis beamed at him and dipped her head.
"Sure I'd love to take a tour," She said eagerly.
She blushed slightly when he complimented her on her appearance. It never happened to her so sincerely. Normally it was like "hi baby you're pretty you waitin for me?" It was really riddiculous really.
She took another step toward him and this time she was brought closer to him. Artemis gently extended her maw out and nudged his shoulder, surprised at how bold she'd been just now. Immediately, she flustered.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that. I-I am just grateful that you aren't one of those stallions that only likes a mare for one particular reason if you catch my drift" she said beaming and blushing at the same time.
She remained standing beside him, waiting for him to take the lead and show her around.
" This place is definitely lovely. You were lucky to come across here." she said to him glancing at him sideways. Both ears were turned to him, showing that she was listening to him with rapt attention. Her eyes twinkled merrily as she looked at him. Her happiness was short lived as a hard realization hit her in the chest.
"Doesn't your mate stay around?" She implied of him and waited patiently. She should've known it was probably too good to be true

Miloh Miloh felt the soft muzzle of Artemis against his shoulder and he moved to nuzzle her back. It just felt right. As she tried to apologize for her actions, he chuckled softly. "You have nothing to apologize for, dear. I don't mind. In fact, I rather understand. I know many of the other stallions are rather..well...crude. 'm not like that." [/i] her replied to her. As they walked, Miloh answered Artemis' next question. "Yes, I was rather lucky. The lands are good and strong."[/i] he said, looking out over the grassy lands. "No, I don't have a mate and things do get lonely staying here by myself. It would be nice to have someone stand at my side."[/i] He continued as he brought her past the clear, running creek and up the hills. he brought her the the highest crest with the best view of the sun that was currently setting.[/bockquote]
