You're so amazing; The beauty you are ♦[/blockquote] [[ CLOSED ; Adrianna ]] [[ AUTUMN ; Late Afternoon ]]Joseph ran. He ran about this foreign land. He seemed to take to running alot. He just loved to run. As he ran he fretted about the past. Joseph's mind went to whe nhe was just a colt, barely a year old. The way his mother just left he and his father. Joseph remembered the agonizing pain which ran through his body. He masked the pain; not wanting to give his father any satisfaction whatsoever. He seemed to slow his run to a trot.
He remembered the stallions. Joseph remembered them as clearly as if it had been yesterday. Two large, pure black stallions, attacking him. Well; trying to anyway. He dodged their attacks, and just took off.
And the shows. His trainer. Joseph wished that he could go back to those times. He loved the adreniline of performing for others. It made him feel good in a way. Though; those days were over now. It was quite a show. But it was time to go, so he took his last bow.
Yep. Those were the days. Being free, though, was just as good. Maybe he would find something new.

She always did like a nice breeze.
Today, the breeze was kind and forgiving. Gentle currents in the air tugged playfully at the silvery chestnut tendrils that cascaded from her boa and tail bone, pulling the hairs softly in a dance through the oxygens. Adrianna leisurely walked along the river--well, leisurely is a loose term. Some may call it strutting, but really, to her, the way she gracefully sways her hips and smoothly glides across the ground like that of a feline is simply the way she carries herself. Her delicate skullary, supported by a neck that held a natural arch, was kept high, carried with a regal manner. Twin towers swiveled to and fro atop her poll, catching any sound wave that floated her way. Despite her dislike for ever finding herself alone, this was one moment where she appreciated it; no over curious little colts following her around, no over zealous studs eyeing her, and no mares glaring at her. Simply the peaceful ambiance surrounding her, a symphony of birds' songs, wind tugging tall prairie grass, and a trickling river. She could get used to this, she thought to herself.
Actually, truthfully, she probably couldn't. This thought followed shortly after the former, a bemused expression dancing across her facade. What is the use of being beautiful, when no one is around to admire it? Such an act would be like taking away a prized painting from a museum and stowing it away in storage--an utter waste, really. It would be a disservice to every other creature she comes across, Adrianna thought to herself half-seriously.
Really, you mustn't judge her for how highly she thinks of herself. All of her egotistical and narcissistic tendencies aside, she actually is an exceptional specimen of equine conformation. It's not this fact that raised her self esteem to such extreme measures. It's the fact that her entire life she has been admired, revered, lusted after, adored, spoiled, all for the fact that she was born with looks that not ever other average equine possessed. This is what turned her into her confident self she is today. It's not as if I am ungrateful or entirely self absorbed, she thought to herself. I do care a lot of--
Hoofbeats. Hoofbeats? With a slightly curious, slightly agitated expression, Adrianna tilted her sculpted head towards the sound. This was done in a manner that to any other bystander would be labeled as skeptical. Such loud hoofbeats--this equine has quite the loud gallop. Her thought process continued as she assessed the situation, when she dully realized that any normal mare would be panicking. After all, some unknown equine that she has never seen before is hurling itself across the ground toward her general direction, shouldn't she be afraid?
Adrianna snorted at the thought. Afraid? It wasn't as if this stud--she discerned his gender from his scent--was much larger than her, nor did he seem brawny in the muscle department. Besides, even if he's aiming to attack her for no reason, well, she was not concerned of this. Like all the rest his steps will falter at the sight of her, and if he didn't stop entirely he would atleast be slowed down enough for her to verbally demand what he was doing, to flee, or to fight back. But all of those were unlikely; he didn't seem like he was about to attack her. In fact, he seemed like he was just galloping. He didn't even seem to see her, which kind of frustrated her, but hey, give him a few more seconds.
She turned her petite frame slightly, angled more to gaze at him curiously. She held her skull regally high and her towers flicked toward him, watching him with a bemused, unabashed gaze. Boa arched and tail bone slightly elevated. Adrianna didn't speak first; she allowed him to be the one to approach her.
Notes - It's kind of half assed. Sorry D: and I rambled WAY TO FREAKING much ahhaah sorry about that. ahhh. My next post will be shorter, prettier, and less rambley, I promise <3

You're so amazing; The beauty you are ♦[/blockquote] No sooner did the mare hear him that he heard her. Sure, he didn't expect to run into anybody today, but he knew he probably might. Joseph seemed to flick his head towards her. His run slowed to a trot as he was starstruck by the mare's beauty.
She beheld quite the figure; with nice legs to go with. She had a sort of arabian-type look. Her coat shined in the sunlight a chestnut colour, just as his had, while a white blaze broke it; from her forehead down to the tip of her muzzle. She was quite the beauty. Joseph seemed to have a dazed look as his eyes fell upon her.
Joseph shook it away though, and seemed to stop. He figured she'd seen him. He walked casually over to her, and decided to engage in conversation with the mare. He cleared his throat. "Hello," he began, letting her finish if she wished. He seemed to blink once, his eyes still on her. What's a mare doing travelling alone? Perhaps she just prefered the loner lifestyle. After all, that's what Joseph prefered; a nice, quiet life alone, nobody to tell you what to do.

The moment she caught sight of his expression, she felt that familiar warmth creeping up her sides and wrapping around her consciousness, comforting her. It always happened like this. Every time she felt someone's eyes on her, admiring her, it made any hint of self doubt dissolve instantly, replaced with love and ardor. Adrianna's eye's fluttered closed for a moment, basking in the stag's gaze she felt searing gloriously into her hide. The did not open again until his pace audibly changed, and she heard the four-beat sound of a walk. Raising her skull slightly she gazed at him, drinking in his form from up close. Average height, average weight. Lovely dappled hide, Adrianna silently noted. That's one thing she's always coveted; dapples. She adores them.
Adrianna felt no threat with the stallion. His pace was too reserved, his gaze unostentatious. She heard his vibrato voice slice through the oxygen in greeting, and her head dipped slightly in acknowledgement. A smile graced her delicate features; the kind of smile that while kind, it made you wonder what sly tricks and secrets this vixen has up her sleeve. The kind that comforted you, but encouraged a nagging feeling in the very depths of your psyche making you doubt everything you've ever known.
"Afternoon," her lyrical harmony danced through the air, caressing the eardrums. Several stallions Adrianna has encountered in the past have spoken highly of her smooth, almost sultry voice. Not too high and not too low, it smoothly glided through the air like that of a song. "Lovely day," she spoke amusedly, sensing that the look in his eyes from when he first stumbled upon her beauty still lurking in their depths. "I'm most curious, where were you running to? You're steps seemed to have had a purpose."
She stood with startling confidence, the kind that few mares that were without escort posses. Head held high and gaze steady upon the stag, she oozed with a sense of self-assured bold tenacity.

You're so amazing; The beauty you are ♦[/blockquote] "Afternoon, lovely day,"Joseph seemed to take into account how incredibly harmonic her voice was. It seemed to bounce off his ear drums in a way that his ears were almost relaxed; perhaps being lulled to sleep. "Lovely day it is," he said. His voice was almost as hypnotizing as her's; but not quite as high. It was almost deep enough to cut through the air. "I'm Joseph, by the way. Or just Joey if you'd prefer." He figured introducing himself would be the polite thing to do. Weather or not she chose to respond was completely up to her. "I'm most curious, where were you running to? You're steps seemed to have had a purpose.""Oh. I figured it was just the perfect day for a run, y'know? Keeps my figure up-to-date too." He let a low chuckle escape his throat through his lips. Joseph seemed to take his eyes off of her, and stop observing her like she was a piece of eye-candy. That wasn't how mares deserved to be treated. After all, they deserved as much respect as stallions got. He focused his eyes on the ground; but kept them partially consentrated on her eyes. "So, haven't you a herd; or are you a lone traveller?"

She heard him agree with her assessment of the whether, and it was that moment when she realized she had brought up the weather as one of the first exchanges she shared with this stag. Ridiculous! The bloody weather was the first thing that came to mind? That's a first. It isn't possibly as if it is her fault that the only thing that came to mind was the weather; no, of course not. It is so obviously the fault of the stallion, for not providing more interesting fodder for a conversation. Tipping her muzzle the slightest angle upward in distaste, she inwardly was annoyed at the simple boringness of the conversation they were sharing. Normally the stallions at least come up with a compliment. Oh, hush, Adrianna. Not so harsh. What's crawled up you're arse today? she heard a nagging voice in the back of her mind; it was easy to quiet her conscious, though. After a while she's gotten used to muffling it's incessant whining.
When he spoke of his name, her mood flipped from dully annoyed/amused into flamboyant. She didn't know why. She's been feeling very unstable when it comes to her moods lately; Adrianna concluded that this is the result of not being in contact with enough equines lately. Being alone does a dozy on her moods. Joseph. A lovely name; she had a childhood friend with the same calling. Perhaps that is what invoked this happier feeling that has consumed her so suddenly.
"Well, Joey. My name is Adrianna; you could call me Ana--it's far easier than that jumble of syllables," she pronouced the name as "ah-nah."
Without thinking of it, a soft quick genuine laugh escaped her airways with ease when she heard his comment. She wasn't sure if she was laughing at his humor, or at how adorably cheesy it was. It hardly matters, really. When she noticed that he suddenly seemed not as riveted at her, she exhaled silently, glancing at him at a new angle. Had she done something wrong? No, what a ridiculous thought. Obviously something is simply wrong with him. How could he handle looking away from her?...Why is he looking away? Pestering curiosity tugged at her mind.
At his inquiry of her herd status, her head tilted slightly, contemplating a method in which to answer. Really, she certainly isn't a part of a herd; not that she didn't wish to be in one, she simply hadn't found one she liked as of yet. Quite the contrary, she desired to be a part of a herd. Then again, she certainly wasn't a lone traveler; she almost always had some stag or colt trailing after her, pestering her. She did everything she could to never be caught alone, as she basked in the attention of others. Today was one of the few times she was truly alone. Really, how to answer without delivering him the monologue spiel that just shot through her head at lightning speed? She decided to go the simple route. "I suppose you could call me a lone traveler," she said with a playful smile.

Joseph You're so amazing; The beauty you are ♦ "Well, Joey. My name is Adrianna; you could call me Ana--it's far easier than that jumble of syllables,"
He heard her pronounce it into two syllables. Ah-nah. He supposed it was easier than just jumbleing all of those other syllables in her name together. He seemed to give a faint smile towards her. "Ana it is then." Joseph had found himself staring into her eyes. He didn't know why, but he had a thing for a mare's eyes. Perhaps it was because they were like the windows to their personalities. They shone almost as chesnuty as her coat and mane. "I must say, your eyes are quite the lovely sight," he said. Perhaps it wasn't the most original thing to say to a mare, but hey; it was something.
Joseph took in her laugh. Was it that she was laughing at his last comment; or did she think less of him? "Cute laugh," was all he could say. Sure, her laugh was cute, but surely he could think of something mroe sensible to say. It reminded him of a mare he used to be friends with when he was with the humans. She was a jumper, while Joseph was just the stallion who got the crowd warmed up. Ah, those were the times.
"I suppose you could call me a lone traveler,"
Just as he thought; a lone traveler. He figured she was, but he couldn't assume she was. Joseph didn't find it unusual for a mare to travel alone, but it was peculiar. "I don't belong to a herd either." He did belong to one at one point, but he didn't feel like going into too much detail, especially since he'd just met the mare. OOC; ROFL. It's alright. XD
