NIAMH[/font] (NEE - AHV)
____________________
AGE
39 moons (3 years)
GENDER
Female
PERSONALITY
Niamh is very quiet and rarely speaks unless it is necessary. When she does speak, her words are concise and to-the-point. This leads many to believe that she is either stupid, arrogant, rude or all three, but in actuality, Niamh is simply observant. She knows much more and picks up on things that other horses around her don't because she keeps her mouth shut and her ears and eyes open. She's often the first to sense danger. When asked about her parentage or her past, she merely gives a blank stare until the subject is changed.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Dapple grey with a graceful build similar to an Arabian's with chocolate brown eyes and black mane. She grows a thick, shaggy coat in the winter and sheds it in the summer. She is 15 hands high.
HISTORY
Niamh was still a filly when she lost her family. At twelve moons (roughly 11 months), a group of monsters that walked on two legs and had no hair save for on their heads attacked her herd. It was early in the morning and Niamh was curled up next to her mother sleeping when the whinnies of panic erupted and woke her. Her mother being roped around the neck and violently dragged away screaming was the last thing she saw before her father roughly pushed her away from the chaos, telling her to run as fast as she could. Frightened, Niamh did as she was told. The two-legged predators chased after her but soon tired and gave up. Niamh ran and ran and ran until she found cover before collapsing and blacking out. When she woke, her family was gone and she was alone. Niamh wandered the land aimlessly, sometimes taking lovers along the way for company but it never lasted long. She would tire of him (or her. Niamh didn't mind female romantic company), or they would tire of her and she would be on her way without a glance backward. She's only had one child in her lifetime, but left him with his father. It was another case of the two horses tiring of one another, and her mate wanted to keep their child. Niamh agreed. He could take better care of the foal in his herd, and Niamh had no interest in caring for children, so she moved on to new places and new lovers. Her last lover, Isis, told her about a place called The Graveyard where horses went to mourn loved ones, regardless of where their bones lay. Niamh set out to find this place and when she did, felt comfortable around the spirits that roamed there and decided to call it her home. Now, Niamh lives amongst the dead, mourning her lost family and waiting for... something. Niamh herself isn't quite sure.[/blockquote]
