Ebonite trotted into the large field of lush. His head was held high, and his long luxurious tail was flagged. His front left raised themselves as he trotted, making him look much like a hackney pony. Once he reached the field, he stopped rapidly, breathing heavily from all the effort he put into himself, just to make a magnificent entrance. His tail lowered and his breath began to slow, calming himself down. The sweat ran down his warm pelt, dropping onto the lush grass. It was all very tempting to eat, but for some reason, he wasn't that hungry. Which is quite odd for him. He loves to eat, he eats all the time pretty much. But I guess not today.
After he stood there for a few minutes, he moved into a nice slow, soothing walk. His head was lowered to the level of his withers, which is a sign of comfort. Most of the time, he is always nervous when he reaches new places he has never seen before, but this time, he is more comfortable. He might've been here before already, but it didn't seem like it, since the scents and sounds were unfamiliar to his keen sense of hearing and smell. Once Ebonite reached a tall tree, just in the middle of the endless field, he trotted over to it then stopped. He stood there calmly and lowered his head to munch on some grass. The crunchiness and flavor of the delicious and nutritious meal, was wonderful. He deserves all of the strength he can get, since most Stallions always want to challenge him. He doesn't know why, but maybe it's because of his looks? Or how all the Mares come to him. But he doesn't care, as long as he wins, he's fine.
Minutes passed, and he just finished having his dinner. The colors in the sky were absolutely gorgeous. They were so bright that they made the small little black pupils in his eyes, grew smaller. Once again, his head lowered down to the level of his withers, showing comfort throughout his fit and sturdy body. Every breath he took, brought in lots of different scents of other horses. His nostrils grew bigger when he inhaled, and grew smaller once he out haled his warm, strong breath. His nasal passages have always been sensitive to different smells that entered. His ears twitched in all directions, every time he heard even the smallest sound. Ebonite has always been a very alert equine, more alert then others actually. He is also quite sensitive with touch. If someone nudges him or something even close to that, he gets startled and jumps ever so slightly. He doesn't jump to the point to where it's obvious that is is startled or anything, thankfully. He got his alertness from his mother. That's one of the few things that he carried on with him from his mother, Maeve. He got most of his traits from his father, which is sort of good in a way, since his father was more brave and such. But his mother had some good traits as well. She was sweet, loving, wise, strong, and a great leader, just like Ebonite. He really hopes to have his own herd one of these days. He loves to have responsibility on his hooves, since he is a great leader and he is very wise. He is also very talented with direction. He surely knows where to go since he has been venturing these lands for a year now. But he hasn't ventured all of them, which he will eventually do soon.
