CADDIE AMOURIE
(CANDY)
____________________________________
AGE

GENDER
Mare
PERSONALITY Candy is the queen of the rocks, miss almight-one. She does what she wants most of the time and very rarely gets told no. If someone tries to hold her back, she will do anything in her power to pumble them and teach them a lesson in being in her way. She likes to be in charge and had a rather cool head for such a bratty mare. She always thinks before she speaks, and won't bother wasting her breath on you if you do not meet her requirements. She thinks lowly of those before her, and unless you are born into royalty or have the looks to turn her head she will ignore you and act as if you aren't even alive.
But once you get past her rough exterior you can find that she had a pretty big heart. She adores foals and loves to romp around with them from time to time, and has been known to talk about having one of her own. She enjoys talking to others (those that she has deemed worthy) and can make a great conversation buddy. She is open to a lot of things and she never makes a decision without looking at both sides of the issue. She likes to think and plan before she reacts to anything. Deep down, Candy longs for a mate to call her own but hasn't ever found the right one, so she sticks to being s flirt and having the boys give her a chase before she lets them down rather harshly. Candy isn't your typical mare- no, she's much too complex.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Candy is a purebred paint, a ...... Standing at only 15.1 hands, she's rather short than most but has the attitiude to make up for it. Her coat, based with white, is smooth and milky, almost the color of whipped cream. Underneath her stomach and up around her flanks is one huge black paint marking. It trails down the front of her legs a until reaching her knees, and down her back legs until reaching the front of her hocks. On her face, she has black patches on the entire side of her face on both sides, leaving a huge white blaze in the middle. Her left eye is brown while her right eye is a soft, icy blue. Her tail has black streaks towards the middle and bottom, and her mane is snow white. Her mane is rather long and flowy, the lazy waves just touching her shoulder while her tail brushes the ground. All four hooves are white. Her body is lean and slender and she resembles the shape of an arabian when in motion. Her head is slightly large and her face is straight, not dished. Her neck arches smoothly and she carries herself with pride and grace like a swan. She has slim bones and a small frame, but beneath her beautiful pelt lies finely toned muscles from years of nomadic traveling.
HISTORY
Caddie Amourie has always been the odd one out. Most of her family were colored and brightly splashed with every color of the horse-coat rainbow, her father a blood bay overo and her mother a red roan splash. None of the foals that year had been born without coloring. That is, until Candy arrived. Her birth was rather long and slowly drawn out, as if she were a suprise that the universe didn't want to expose. But after days of hard labour, a tiny black-and-white paint filly was brought to the world. She rose quickly, not sparing even a second, and learned how to manuver her muscles and long, spidery legs in record time. You could even say that she was born standing, but that would be silly, wouldn't it? She filled her tummy with her momma's rich milk and started romping around lazily, as if bored by her new abilities. It was then that her mother knew she was different, not only by her coloring, but by her personality and attitude as well.
Many foals were born that year and not one adult had bothered to give Candy the attention she desperately wanted. Day after day, her father would run about, struggling to keep away bachelors and find the herd food and shelter before the springtime storms were at bay. She didn't have the heart to stop her father from his daily herd duties, so she relied on her mother for love. Sadly, her mother was the nursemare, the only one in the herd that knew the remedies to sooth achy tummies and springtime allergies in the new batch of foals, and she was constantly at working making the herd as safe and comfortable for the new foals as it could possibly be. Candy spent days alone and ignored by many. Her only friend was a young colt named Term. He, too, had been an outcast from birth- he was born with no white on his body. His entire pelt had remained a dark bay, not a white spot on his pelt. Together, they would cause chaos within the herd and have a great ammount of fun doing it. They were best friends- that is, until it came time for him to leave. On the day of their third birthday, her father marched right up to Term and told him to get lost, that no males were allowed within his herd. Furious, Term challenged her father for the position of lead, and the next night a long, bloody battle was fought. It provided no winner, for both had issues deadly attacks and died from either blood loss or a bad blow to the body. This broke Candy's heart, and she tried to get her mother to administer first aid to Term's lifeless corpse, and her mother, disrought over the loss of their lead, snapped at her daughter. She asked how she could possibly care about the wellbeing of her father's murder, and so Candy reminded her that her father had murdered her best friend. Enraged, she shooed her daughter away and forbid her to return. After two years of traveling she has developed nomadic characteristics, but has stumbled upon the land of Night Sky Equines. She enjoys it here, and wants to stay. But she highly doubts she'll find another friend like Term, and so she keeps searching to fill the void left behind by her best friend, the oucast.
OTHER
Has horrible nightmares most nights due to watching her best friend and father murder each other- never gets much sleep due to this, and always had a bad temper when she doesn't get enough rest.
