Ivory skull bobbed as he walked, tattered, short banner bouncing with his pace. Long, spindly lasher swung back and forth, occasionally whipping at a fly that approached too near. Storm hues otics swerved up to the other stallion as he haulted and nodded.
"I've only know myself and Tragic." He muttered quietly, mostly to himself than for the other's auds.
Hearing the stallions next words he smiled and nodded, lifting his head slightly, his nape twisting his muzzle to face the other.
"Thank you. You don't know how much it means. My whole life I've lived alone... chased out. It's good to have a place I can feel safe... welcomed."

Freedom nodded his head and smiled at September " When I was young all I knew was my mother and myself. I didn't know my father till I was a yearling, and when I found out I kind of ran away coming here and fell in love with the Mountain's beauty." He said while moving to stand beside September. He then looked back to the lands when he heard some rocks slowly falling from the left abit. "Here comes Thorne, my son." He said while indicating the small chestnut colored three year old colt. He was of the normal size for his breeding but was sickly from not being able to figure out what foods to eat and what not to eat here in the Mountains. When Freedom heard September's last comment he smiled " Here we are all family in some ways more then others but still a big family."

September's sharp auds swerved to teh sound of clumsy steps. Without stregnth, Spetember bothered more with his listening and flight. Something of a pansy, the stallion would much rather flee than to stand and fight. White mask turned to gaze at the other male, his auds flattening nervously. A delicate flint rose to his chest as he stepped back, nares opening. From his experiance, the young ones were the most dangerous. They seemed to care the least.
Optics rolled to Freedom nervously as his limbs shook softly. Dropping his grey muzzle, he looked up at the chestnut equine. Nodding in greeting, Memoirs looked up at Freedom, then to his son again.
"H-hello." He said quietly, his blond whip lashing his sides. "I'm September Memories." The brute assumes that Freedom would explaine he was welcomed into the herd. The stallion hoped the colt would aprove.

Freedom nodded his head towards September before looking over towards Thorne. He had opened his mouth to say that the stallion was part of the herd when the colt spoke. " It is nice to meet you my name is Thorne." He said while then coming to a stop in front of him. Then he circled him afew times and smiled up at him. Something that Freedom had never figured out about his own son was the fact he always seemed to know if something was bothering you and he knew kind of what to do. Thorne looked towards September and nuzzled his neck " Welcome to the herd, and welcome to the family."

At first, September shrunk back, his auds flattening as he watched Thron circle him. Large, frightened eyes following the form before he stopped. Lifting his skull somewhat, the grey stallion froze ridgedly at the touch. For a moment he shrunk back, then simply froze, his muscles going tense.
Hearing soft words, the stallion eased slightly, looking at the colt and nodding, his eyes still worried. September was easily labled as a panicky creature.
"Its nice to meet you, too." He murmered quietly. "Thank you." He added softly.

Thorne just nodded his head to September with a smile " There is no need to thank me. I can tell by how you hold yourself that even though you have had much grief in your life that you are still a good stallion." He said while then lowering his head indicating the grass " Eat up there is plenty around here." He said while then picking two flowers. He placed one in September's mane then placed the other one in Freedom's mane before walking towards a spring.

The stallion stood still, no muscles easing, none tensening. It was awkward for him, this knid treatment. It had to be a cruel trick, right? They would be kind to him, then tell him it was all ajok enad chase him out. flattening his auds nervously, he glanced from stallion to stallion.
"I-" He silence himself. Food. Grass? It sounded wonderful know. Lately the mustange mix had been eating less, and slowly his ribs began showing over time, but his health was hardly injured.
"You don't look too well yourself." Memoirs said, pointing to the colt's thin sides.
But he dropped his head and took a large clipping of grass, chewing before he took another mouthful and rose his head to continue grinding.

Thorne nodded his head " I was at a human ranch where they sent most colts to a slaughter house before they turned four years old. I escaped when my father came and rescued me out of there. I am still recovering I just haven't gotten used to the wild life yet." He said while lowering his head and grazing quietly. He watched Freedom Moon walk away to take a drink out of a nearby spring and smiled lightly as he continued eating.

The stallion felt a twing of pain for the colt. It must have been hard... knowing at any moment you were to be killed. Your friends, if you had any, being picked off as they aged. Constantly afraid, smelling death all around. September shuddered lightly.
"I'm sorry." He muttered. "I mean... its wonderful your here. I've never lived with humans." He said, trying to say something other than two words.
"I hope you enjoy it in the wild."
The stallion dropped his head again, his yellowing teeth clipping over the blades until his mouth was filled again. His auds swirled about to the birds' calls and the nearby horses.

Thorne smiled and nodded his head " Thank you and I know what you mean." He said as he continued to eat his fill of grass. He looked up when he heard some birds chirrping loudly in a nearby tree. He shook his head once before he continued eating. He was about to eat some fluffly yellow flowers when Freedom shook his head and moved him away from them. " They will make you sick if you eat them Thorne." He said softly while moving him to some grass that still had some morning dew left on it.
