Orbs watched as the new stallion pondered in, she looked up at him curiously. Wasn't it he that she had first met? That tied himself to their herd. Pools watched back as Fall panicked. Fall? she said stupidly like there was something the matter, when there obviously was. She whinnied slowly. Trotting up facing the mare, who she did not recognize to well but she did the name. The gaia! Fall have you the gaia? It's been spreading throughout the mountains! She knew little of this bite but what she did know was enough. Horses were either immune, or sometimes fatal. She had watched from above the sun kissed mare that struggled with it, each horse taking it differently. Some dying, others never to speak again, sometimes periodly blindness.
She took a small step back as if she thought she could catch it off her, she struggled. What could she do? She didn't even know what they were talking about, Tsunami? Who was he, she had no clue. It had been a long time though that she had seen these horses, and she'd been away a lot. Sometimes for a week, a month or a year or two. She didn't mean it but she was time and time again called out to other places where she was needed urgently and as the lands were so big she could not always say goodbye.

Kurime was startled by the announcement. The gaia... spreading? Cowardly as she was, Kurime shamefully shambled off, a great pity and self-hate boiling inside her gut. The quarterhorse hung her head in shame, and thought that she'd insulted the now-mute horse beyond belief. It was horrifying, the sudden disease's attack, but she didn't need to run! And Freedom... she was sure to be banned now. No herd had any use for a loose coward like herself. However, Kurime changed her mind, and bolted back, acting naturally, hoping every other horse had been so immersed in talking that they'd forgotten her.

Freedom walked into the mountains with a little colt at his side. His head was dropping down almost to his hooves as he walked. He raised it up abit when the colt asked him a question and he answered it with a small smile. He looked up and spotted Munchie, Fall, Feather, Kurime, and Snowflake and let out a sigh. The young colt stopped and nuzzled Freedom on the neck and yawned lightly before going to sleep. Freedom whinnied lightly towards Munchie he had to tell her now about this young colt.

The Gaia...
Could she? Could she have the Gaia?
Oh, God...
Where was the compassion in the world? Raven's Feather could feel icey freezing dread seeping into his blood. Had the Gaia, then, captured his son, if it had Fall? Fall, Fall, what is wrong with you...
Black nose nuzzled her, consoling her, begging to calm her. "I'm here, I'm here...Please..." He closed his eyes. Could it end, like this? Just collapse, without him nor any other knowing why?

The colt at Freedom's side walked over towards Feather and the others with his head tilted. When he saw Fall he nuzzled her lightly before looking over his shoulder towards Freedom" Dad what's wrong with her?" He asked before looking towards Feather with a small smile " Hi there my name is Thorne." He said before walking back over towards Freedom. Then both of them walked closer to the rest of the horses.

Kurime noticed the colt walking up to his father. So, this was Freedom's offspring. The very image of his father, it seems... She thought sullenly. All of a sudden, the beauty of the herd was diminished to nothing because of the... Gaia... what did this disease want with them? The herd hadn't done anything wrong. Freedom even took me and Snowflake in... what wrong did his herd do to make this thing fall on him? What did any of the herds do to deserve this? It wasn't fair... just when Kurime had stepped into feeling wanted, the gaia had to come and.. plague everything, everyone.

Freedom walked over towards them with a sad smile on his face. " Are you all okay?" He asked while nuzzaling each one of them in turn and shook his head when Thorne tried to do the same. He looked back towards Fall and nudged her in the shoulder " I am sorry this is happening to you it was the same with me." He said while then nuzzaling her neck before moving towards Munchie and nuzzaling her.

Pity fell for the mare with the gaia, and she felt so solemn that she did not remember her at all, just a slight thought. We will make you as comftarble here as you could possibly imagine nuzzling her slightly she turned as she heard the word 'dad'. A young colt was standing beside Freedom Moon. He had called him 'dad' thoughts rushed to her head, not knowing whether to believe them or not. Her and Freedom needed to talk.
Freedom, who is... her words stopped, it was as her life was changing. She couldn't lose him, otherwise her life would be ruined and she'd go back to be how she was years ago. She couldn't go back to that... she wouldn't! It was in her nature to panick like this a few years ago and she hoped she had grown out of it. But it proved she hadn't really changed when she wasn't with Freedom.

Freedom looked at Munchie and reached his head to nuzzle her then stopped. She would probably think he betrayed her but he didn't. He spoke with his head turned " Thorne was born on a ranch by infertalization. He is my son." He looked up at Munchie and then turned to look into her eyes " I fought the men as hard as they could but they got their sample from me. I didn't want a son my any other mare but you Munchie I swear it." He said while then looking to Thorne " Rose was my friend who helped me survive when they nearly killed me by giving me food."
