♥ ♥a . urora && [ LOVE NEVER WANTED ME ] [ BUT I TOOK IT ANYWAY ] [queen of the island] x [bride to none] x [dame of anubis & akkan]
So many equine had flocked to the Island. It was tucked neatly away from everything, and nothing could ignite. She was safe here, and she tolerated her home becoming violated and taken advantage for. Then no one was committed to thanking the land for keeping them from burning. Bloody bastards. They deserved to burn.
How tempting it was to rush by their sides and push them into the water. Enjoy it while they can – there was no water to save them when they were caught in the flames.
Aurora sneezed, nasals spluttered and liquid rushed through her system as she choked. Once she recovered, she blinked in horror. It was raining, and it was a relief from the heat, but right now it wasn’t the raining that had gotten caught in her throat, it was the tide.
A sudden flash of fear alerted the femme; she stood to her hind quarters, up knee deep in the freezing water. First a fire, now a flood? It always came in threes, too, what next? She squealed loudly, hoping to catch attention from her herd. This was definitely not how she liked to be woken up in the morning.
She started at a sprint, the golden beauty lifted her limbs higher off the sand this time, to gain speed through the water. She was hardly out of the thicket and was already having trouble getting through it. From where it was just plain sand, hardly any of it wasn’t covered in water. Tilting her skull to the heavens, she wept, fearful for her life as it was up to the thick, black clouds above her to decide her fate.
"Windago!"
The vix screamed at the top of her lungs. Her home was drowning – And she’d drown with it.

[Don't mind if I join, do you?]
Winds of the storm splashed warm against his bulk as he ran across the flooded beach. Thins flared wider to feed his thirsty lungs, to give more oxygen to his large being. Iron muscles bulged as the stallion worked down the line, taking him around the island. This is completely hectic... Daggers skidded on the sand below; a minor wave formed from under him as he achieved a halt. Lyrics of one calling entered his towers. Who the h*** was calling Windago? He blew through his nares harshly, a mist emitting from them as he carried on, tossing his head and throwing his heels up into the air. He could feel his heart now, pumping blood through his veins with a hasty rhythm. It soothed him somewhat... Zylan could see the mare now. His eyes focused on her fiery coat as he grew nearer, slowing his gait. Everything around him was becoming darker. He looked up to see that a large, ominous cloud had drifted over what was left of the sun. Another warm draft swept over the island, this time managing to lift the damp tresses from his muscled nape. The stallion eased his pace and flowed into a trot, now looking directly at the drenched figure before him. She seemed rather distressed...
[Pardon the censored word... would spell the whole thing but a certain someone would bust me for it.]

windago. the captian always goes down with his ship. His auds were pricked to the call of a shierking banshee. With a yawn, he stretched and imerged from the forest. That call? Oh yes, it was Aurora. What was wrong? With a gentle nicker that seemed to wash away all fears he trotted calmingly out to her. Aproaching her, he didn't look at the landscape, just settled his great skull upon her strong broad sunkissed back and sighed. Nudging her, he gave a soft raspy cough and then closed his eyes. Today his bones hurt, and his knees throbbed uncomfortablly with each step. And his stomache seemed upset; he was in for a small flu. Poor guy. "Ah, yes...What is wrong?" He thought, but no words came out. With a soft rumbly nicker like a laugh, he unstuck his tongue, and asked,"What is wrong, m' Queen?" His stomache growled angerily, it pained him... All he wanted to do was go back to sleep.
With another stroke of his mug on her broad back, he lifted his skull and looked out to his beach...That was no more! He cocked his skull to the side and stared disbelieving at the water that lapped at the grassy edge that separated the beach and the grazing land. With a snort, he pushed past the Queen and reached down and blew at the water. Lifting his skull, one aud twitched back and forth in a confusion. What is this. Looking up the sky, he took note that this was not time for high tide, so what was this? A drop of rain fell on his nose, and he snorted. Plundging backward, he nipped Aurora; driving her to the forest. "Let's call a meeting in the forest to gather the herd together. Then you need to take them to safetly at the Rocky Mountains." He said softly, as he galloped into the forest land. His hooves sounding hollow on the wooden ground.
Coming to a rest in a large, round empty area; he sent a cry out to all of the horse's of his herd; joined or just staying for a while, they needed to come here. Looking at Aurora, he stepped up to her. Placing his mug close to her's, he looked her deep in her firey eyes. "Aurora, you are their Queen... Protect them against all harm when you get them to the Rocky Mountains, and even if the current lead's try to drive you out, stay. Defy them. I know you can do that. Do that for me..." He said softly. Blinking his silvery blue eyes, he turned and looked out; looking for the herd. Looking back at her, he asked her one last favor softly in a barely audible whisper;
"Take care of Oasis for me. Don't leave sight of her."

Zylan halted once again, watching as the stunning black stag came into view. He had obviously heard her call. His twins fell back as the two disappeared into the trees. "Never mind it..." He looked about him, the water wrapping around his hocks as the tide became stronger. This wasn't good. He stomped his forefoot angrily, snorting in sheer agitation. The equines were in danger... all of them. They needed to get off this island. He pushed off the ground and galloped towards the trees, in the direction Windago and the mare had taken off. Perhaps he would find them... Help get the horses off of the island. It wasn't exactly in his nature to be so helpful, but he wouldn't be a real stallion if he just left everyone behind. Especially Windago. He opened his heart and let him stay. Windago's scent drifted into his nares. He was near...
[Awful, I know]

♥ ♥a . urora && [ YOU'RE A TOUCH OVER RATED ] [queen of the island] x [bride to none] x [dame of anubis & akkan]
She was too horrified by her sight to notice the stallion’s scent, besides she normally knew the entire herd, and when she didn’t, she wouldn’t pay attention to it. Her breaths began to quicken, as she realised this was for real. The whole island was going to flood, and even though she’d never normally admit it, she’d risk her life for her herd. She was their queen and she was to put aside her selfish ways and be the queen Windago expected her to be.
Dentals relaxed somewhat, as the ebon stallion over a head taller then her showed up beside her. ‘What is wrong, m’queen?’ She was taken back by the old fool’s stupidity, something she had not grown used to from him at all. She almost choked on his words, trying to find a word to describe what was so wrong, but as she blinked in Windago’s direction, he had already realised. Before she could prepare, he had already tugged on her lose threads, and started at an incredibly fat gallop, shouting informative commands to her on his way; and Aurora obediently followed.
As limbs violently clashed with the earthy, she eventually dragged out of the water and onto dry land, as Windago led her to the usual meeting place for the islanders. Her breath was anxious, her chest up and down, her vision frantically darting from one side to another, until they cast upon Winny’s softer orbs, which seemed to sooth her without any words at all. She nodded vigorously, accepting every word he said to her, including if she had to force her way in, she would.
Until he spoke of Oasis, and auds fluttered forward, sighing silently under her breath and turning away, eagerly waiting the herd’s arrival. This was probably the first time you could really say she was speechless.

Heart quickened and breath almost stopped. What was happening? Was that cry from Aurora? The wave hit Wynne's large bodice and almost threw her over. She let out a sharp whinny and swam strong against the water to the place where the herd usually met. The place she had stepped down and last saw the fiery-tempered mare. Though it eluded her now, the island was being lost to the sea.
Fearful orbs regarded the two equines with confusion. What would happen? What was happening? Aurora was the Queen? So many unanswered questions rattled in her head, ricocheting throughout her entire body. Her large columns shook beneath her. It was then what was happening hit her. After Windago's last audible words to the fiery Queen. Windago was going to stay. The only friend she had ever had was going to stay and sentence himself to death. He would let the waters consume him.
"NO!!" Rarely used lyrics shrilly echoed through what was remaining of the island. She nickered a fearful cry and ran to her friend. Her kindness had saved him before, surely it would save him now. But, her efforts were most likely in vein. Childish innocence would not fix everything. This was something he had to do. Something he wanted to do. To end his reign over these once beautiful lands with his death, to end his life as commander in chief. But she didn't understand... she couldn't understand.
"Don't leave me.. don't leave Oasis... don't leave your herd.." Her words were soft and broken with sorrow. He couldn't leave... he just couldn't. He shouldn't leave. But he would. The great Teddy Bear's last stand. It was an honorable death. Wynne thought, though, that there should be no death at all. She didn't understand how old he was, she didn't want to understand. She didn't want him to die, one never wants their friends to die. Please... please... just don't leave...

The choing bugle resounded through every golden grain and liquid droplet, reaching the far corners of the beautiful isle. Dappled tiara lifted from the undergrowth, pulling the remants of the fea's meal beneath pearly enamels. Harks flicked forth to capture the sound of the ebony Leige. He sounded desperate, troubled, feelings not usually related to the laid-back Windago the Appaloosa knew and loved. Crown tilted, pools narrowing, before talons lifted from the eath to compl with her love's demand.
Slender bodice wove between the emerald strands of the forest, daggers forging a trail through the ivy and dock leaves, ducking at last past the palm trees that gaurded the very edge of the wood. Listeners had captured Windago's position, and Oasis decided t'would be easier to stretch her appendages over the gentle caressing sands, then veer back into the heart of the wood, instead of clamberouring through the trees if she took the path of the crow.
But there was a flaw in her plan, for when dotted chest pushed through the emerald, gentle spheres gazed not 'pon her beautiful beach of golden grains, but of a swampy marsh like area, cruel liquid seeping where the beach should have rested. Oasis squealed shaarply in shock, physique jumping as dagger was nearly sucked into the gllopy substance.
her voids widened, but the dove halted her panic when she remmeberd Windago's call. He must know. The brujo must be summening for this reason.
And so Oasis took up a steady 3 beat, her gait gaining more ground as the leaped back into the shaded wood. Windago was in sight, stood beside the flame-kissed Aurora. But the dove was barely in ear-shot before the mighty steed tensed his sinew and powerful pistons took chassi into the distance. The Appaloosa halted gracefully before her Queen, creamy tassles falling abrubtly 'pon nape at the sudden stop. Gaze lifted to that of Aurora's fiery globe's, Oasis's own pools glazed with confusion, nothing had quite sunk in yet
Where has Windago gone to?
The fea asked, notions and worries skitting through her mind. How could this disaster be resolved. But her femine facade was calm and tranquil, there was no need to fear, Windago was around, he was her Lord, and would protect his family. No-one would come to harm. They would all be safe.

.Dusk. .3 years. .Arabian.
W.hats the point in living now?
Sorrel bodice pulled through the heavy tided ocean. Weak and nervous the big headed stallion was purely new to these lands. And what brought him here? The red flames burnt through his residing place. His hooves took off galloping carrying his bodice with it. The ocean was near. He plunged. He swam. He closed his eyes. He was unconcious. Waking up on the edge of an island surely should be a thankful place. Yet even though no danger came to him he felt danger lay ahead. The sands that should have once been golden, shells scattered clawing at his talons had disappeared underneath the bucket fulls of water that drowned the once beautiful island. His legs felt weak and pain throbbed through his heart. His sister couldn't have survived such terrifying weather. The fire golden scatted and now this heavy flood. His talons gripped the sand as he rose on, however as fast as quick sand his hooves began to sink deep. Pulling them up forced him to slower his pace. Though it was slow anyway. Horse scent reaches his flares as his auds poked about in all directions. He may not be welcome but he had to stay until he was stronger. He had no plans to stay here unless something happened. All he wanted was the floods to stop, to find his sister and be reuntited and return to his wondering. Tail lay against his rump. Once silky now knotted. Mane rested apon his neck. Damp, cold but also knotted. Seaweed spurted from his bodice. Parched throat left him starved. The last meal was... grass. Yes the boring, utterly boring green blades that evily stuck to his throat.
He wondered onwards back arched, fear tormented his eyes. Tripping every now and again. He cried out for help but all in vain. His legs ached it was times like these when he wished he was home with Espirit and his now dead mother. Company would do though no matter how hard he tried the fear would not escape him. Trapped inside his body never to unleash. Surely this tremendous trip would change him forever? Perhaps he'd turn his small views around? Perhaps he'd learn to respect things and not take everything for granted. He was sure that would change. Scent of horse grew stronger. He stood apon his thin and tired hind legs catching the whiff of salt and a hell of a lot of it. He entered the ring many horses either side. Perhaps one was the lead if there were one. He could feel eyes focused on him whether it was true he did not know. He had to be polite he had to reside here for a few days. Too young to die. He opened his jaw though nothing came out. Trying again he opened and spoke. I am Dusk. Escapig from the flames to return to floods. What else could he say? He was speechless.
[/size] .Espirit. .3 years. .Arabian.
C.ause' i'm lost without you...
Golden sands drowned with water. Clutching at her grasp she screamed in panic. All thought of family and friends had gone. Maybe she had forgotten everything. Memory loss. No it couldn't be she knew where she resided. Her tiara dipped into the water to quench her thirst. Though it was not sea it was a small rock pool that was almost covered with the disgusting sea water. Slender stilts rode on through the sand. Thoughts dazed back to Zorro. Where was he? She remembered the huge waves that knocked her off her feet and that was the reason she had probably been seperated. She pined loudly for him. He was the only one apart from Windago that made her feel safe and even then Windago didn't always make her feel that way. Her golden bodice once had that beautiful shine that made her look even more sun kissed than she already was. Her tiara throbbed with a minor head ache which she often expieranced. Though scent was caught of herd and if she wasn't wrong that beautiful aroma that Wynne contained. The first and only mare she had met on the island and for how long had she lived there? A while. Quite yet she only knew 3 horses. Espirit... her name seemed no longer to fit her. Her coat and personality fit that name for why she was crowned with it and now her coat felt fake, thin and unwater proof. Her dazed head hurt and memories flooded back like that wave that knocked her out.
Dusk. Zorro. Windago. Wynne. Father. Mother. Dead Mother. How it hurt to think of them. Would she ever find them? But of course she had scented them, totally forgetting all the means she knew she had to carry on. Steadily walking she travelled to where the scent contained and every half mile or so it grew stronger. So strong she wasn't in the least suprised when she turned her head and saw the horses of the isle standing there 1 by 1. Not quite how many she had expected but after all she had only just heard the call one of the mares had made eagerly. She cantered formly into the crowd where she heard the word 'dusk' could it just be the time of day? No! He was there. Hallucination she told herself. Closing her tear drops incredibly tight she opened them. He stood there. Her brother. After all this time. Forgetting everything she galloped towards his rearing when her legs crashed down onto his back. Not violently however. She nipped his rump until the surreal life wondered back. Zorro. He wasn't here. Dusk was out of her life for the minute and flooding back came more memories. Zorro! she screamed in hope. [/size]

†. A Legend in the making... †. The midnight stallion's dull daggers made music as he galloped toward the call of another equine. If he had a rider on his back they would be able to feel his massive heart of gold pound underneath is rich midnight coat. His nares were widened, capturing the air he needed. His jet veil and tassels were blow back but his speed and power. The z mark clearly showing. His auds were pined to his crane, so they couldn't resist the air. His banner floated behind him like a flag dancing in the middle of a battle Field. Death was mocking him one more, and the stallion couldn't help but laugh at it. Still, the flood worried him.
†. Water was dancing around his daggers. This slowed him a bit, but the young-minded friesian pushed his self harder. He had to get to that call. Espirit has lost his eyes sight, and he worried. Why? He did not know...could it be possible he had feelings for the golden senorita? Maybe it would be best to mask them, just like Zorro masked his face. All of a sudden, the midnight stallion heard a cry of his name. The cry had to belong to one, and only one...Espirit. Her voice was like a harp played by the angels them self. Of course, he felt no equine had a despised call, for beauty was often hidden.
†. In the distance he could see the small gathering. Many equines he was yet to know. One mare caught his eye, a fiery one. She must have made the call. Then there was another mare, that he couldn't get a good look at. There was a spotted mare, and the golden mare Espirit. A sorrel stag braced himself on the sands. A scent danced before his nares...another? He slid to a halt, almost sitting on his haunches. A small spray of liquid splashed his legs...making his light feathering heavy. His muddy pools scanned the area...and he found a dappled stag. Watching....why didn't he go before the group. Zorro nickered to the Grey stag, then tossed his head in the group's direction...as if telling him he should step forth.
†. Zorro watched the Grey stag for a moment, then stepped before the group. His muscular jet body was huge with the friesian bloodline. His mane lay on his neck wavy but still. His banner hung down to the earth, wavy also. His forelock was to one side, exposing the white z mark. His muddy pools looking at each one of the equines. He set his pools on the golden mare, the one who had called him.
†."You rang senorita..."
†. Those words were the only thing he could let escape from his jaws. The stag stood upon the slightly wet lands...waiting for something to occur....

.windago i will forever love you, even lost at sea. He waited, nestled behind the firey mare, he eyes soft as he watched stags and mares flood into the tiny meeting place. All had wide, frightened eyes and were silent as night. Until one very quiet mare became a nusance. Raising his dial over Aurora's neck, he looked out to the distressed mare. The look of understanding crossed his face as he saw the draft mare Wynne stir up trouble. Unraveling himself from behind Aurora, he took pained steps to the mare he consitered strong, beautiful, and a close friend. Touching her gently on the cheek; his eyes held the crystal clear pain for her and the members, but he knew what he had to do. He had to do this for his family. Waiting for the right moment, he could hear others rustling around and behind him nervously. He rose his kissers up to her auds, the soft whisper sinking into her auds, and no one else's, "Where Aurora must take care of the herd, you must take care of her. You are strong Wynne, I know you are. Watch over Oasis with her for me." Turning away from the dappled mare, he faced the aucusing eyes that wondered why their home was being taken over.
He sighed softly, his very heart and soul etched out with the name Oasis on it. As she arrived, he noticed she asked where he was, chuckling softly he pressed his nose upon her hide. "I am here, m' love." She must have not seen him, for she probally sout him beside Aurora. Turning, he saw a steed approach that he didn't know, this wasn't the time for introductions. Then the femmora blessed Espirit...And last but not lest, Zorro. He was slightly surprised at the amount that came, but that didn't worry him, they were here. Stepping forward, he came before all of them and their nervous chatterings to their neighbors. Silence came as they all looked at their leader. Him. He was their leader, he must protect them. Raising his voice so all can hear, he let his words come out in a strong, proud, and non worried voice. They didn't need to know that their leader was worried, then they too would become worried.
"Our home is flooding. Tis simple as that. Soon it will be gone. You all must go with Aurora to the Rocky Mountains were you shall take refuge. I want you all to stay together, find a friend and stay close to him or her as you swim across the waves to the Mountains. Do not loose sight of your neighbors."
He waited, looking at all of his friends; young, old, new member, or long time member from the Desert. They all were here because of him. He found them, he loved them, he helped them. He took care of them. They all were his friends, and lovers, his life was for them; not himself. Closing his eyes so he wouldn't have to look at them, expecially Oasis, he spoke the rest.
"Listen to Aurora, for I will not be going. I am staying here, in case there are others that aren't here now and need my help."
There. He said it. Opening his eyes, he fould and burning pain in his heart, and a large lump in his throat. This was his Fate; to die for his home and family. He turned away from them all, and waited to hear their words. He knew many would go against him, and force him to come. Some would say that they will stay if he was going to stay. But if he had to, he would turn on them all, and force them into the waves. To safety. [occ; EDITED; because I am dumb and thinking about Duna it this post.]
.colburn through pain and toil i will be here for you. The appaloosa steed maybe late to the calling, but he came all the same. He came at the percise moment Windago gave his speech. With flickering auds, he looked to Aurora, the one he loved...Then to Oasis. His mother. He pinned his auds uncertainly; then looked up at the black knight with interest. He waited for something else, for he knew something was bothering the steed. With a sharp cry, he heard what Windago was going to do. Everything fell into peices. Windago was going to stay behind, and die for the herd. And Colburn couldn't stop him, he knew it by the look in the steed's eyes. He trotted to Aurora then, his sadness turning in heartache for her. She knew him so long...
Stopping before her, he bowed to his queen. Lifting his eyes, he waited. He knew she didn't want anything to do with him since she found out that he was Oasis's son, but it had come as much as a shock to him, as her. He wished she could understand that. Looking at her with love and sadness, he said softly, "I will stay by you." Touching her softly, he turned away. He knew Aurora was strong and she could accept his words. But at this moment, there was someone that needed him more. His mother. She was not just his mother, she was Windago's lover. He knew she must be torn up inside. Looking back at the firey mare he loved, he was broke between whom to go with. He choose his mother for right now. He had to mend things.
Stepping up to the petite Appaloosa, he noticed that they did look indeed a lot alike, only he had his cursed father's build of bulk and muscle. But he had his mother's soft eyes and beautiful spots. Stopping by her, he pressed his head gently to her chest, nickering softly. He didn't know her reaction. But he would try to mend things between them in this time of terror, and he would most importantly try to heal her broken heart. He closed his auburn eyes sadly, clinging to her chest like a babe clinging to their mother in fear. "Mom" He said ever so softly, his eyes opened and looked at the ebon's turned back. How could he do this? How could he just leave his family? He couldn't! But he would. [occ; No muse for Colburn.]

Oasis A mother's love
Emerald gaze remained fixed ‘pon the fiery auburn Queen, awaiting patiently for a response. But whilst none came soon, the arrival of more equines did capture the attention of the Appaloosa. Audits flicked round at the arrival of a weary stag, and a young golden minx who travelled at his side. Voids thoroughly surveyed the steed, until deciding he was not a threat enough to become worried. And of course, there were more important issues to hand. Daggers shifted uneasily, trying to keep lithe physique from being lulled into the sinking depths of the once glorious sands. It brought fear to the femmora’s heart, to watch her beloved home become victim to the sea. How could something so strong and precious be swept aside like nothing more than a pimple in the vast ocean? Did this beautiful abode of tantalising greenery and stretches of sand not deserve to survive?
Her train of thought was interrupted by a thunder of steel talons ripping through the earth. The powerful drumbeat was similar to Windago’s symphony, but Oasis could tell this equine was not her beloved. Dial turned, and audits fell atop crown as a towering ebony Friesian crashed into view. Skidding treacherously ‘pon the sands, the lightening pattern of ivory a sharp contrast to the midnight of his chassi. The rippling sinew sent fear scurrying to her veins. The Appaloosa knew she would never be cured of her curse, but some stags brought the terror more strongly than others. This unknown behemoth just brought the air of something powerful, he had the capacity of terror should he wish to use it. Pools grew wide with initial panic, talons danced ‘pon the earth and haunches bunched tensely beneath bod, but before her panic could increase any further, he saviour emerged from the crowd. Windago moved into the dove’s sight, and Oasis jumped to his side, nestling bodice into his warm rippling pelt, feeling his sturdy bod wash her worries from her soul. She was safe, and the strange Friesian was put out of mind just as he was out of view. The Appaloosa sucked in her breath, knowing she was foolish for such behaviour that should come only from a frightened filly. Emerald gaze glanced to her love, wondering if Windago knew the true reason for her skitter or if he put it down to the flood?
The inky Lord moved from her side, presenting himself in a position where he could address his loyal followers. The doe felt at slight unease, her lithe bod feeling slightly vulnerable. A shadow cast over her dappled physique, and as delicate tiara lifted to the azure, her emerald voids clashed with identical mirrors. Her breath was knocked from her, talons rooted to the spot. Colburn…her son; stood before her. The Appaloosa could not read his façade, was only swallowed by those crystal pools that held the same warmth as her own. Her heart seemed to beat as loud as the passing seconds. But the eternal wait was broken when the powerful Appaloosa brujo pressed his velvets to her hide. Oasis’s pelt pricked at his sweet touch, no other stag apart from Windago had touched her before. Relief swept through her veins, he had accepted the impossible. And even embraced the mare that could not fulfil her only duty. To be a mother to her baby colt. Oasis had failed him from the very beginning, and even when she knew, had failed him again by not wanting to believe the truth. How could she not want her own son?
The Appaloosa now embraced the brujo, held him close, tracing his bulk, knowing how strong and true he had grown up to be. She was so proud, and her heart filled with the sheerest love.
Miracle You never listen
Miracle emerged with the grace of an angel from the foliage behind the group. Voids swept through the crowd, soaking up the proud stance of Windago, and knowing his about to address his followers. The lithe Appaloosa entwined like smoke through the crowd, aiming to be at the side of her mother. Creamy tassels flowed with ease from her dotted neck, the ivory splotches dotted in their own unique pattern ‘pon her velvet hide. Chaining her rippling sinew beneath her cloak. Miracle may be feminine, but her pillars were sturdy and every dainty step true ‘pon the earth. Chasms glanced to the fiery auburn Aurora, her Queen. Her crystal gaze through a glare at the vix. Miracle resented being demoted from Princess, and what’s more, felt her mother had been forced to give up the throne. Miracle held more of the strong-willed disposition than her father, she was not soft and vulnerable like her mother, which was why the fea was protective of Oasis. And could not comprehend her mother giving up the role as Queen. Miracle was often kept in the dark, and could only form her opinions based on the facts she held. The fea knew that Aurora did not as yet know of her feelings, but she would soon. And Miracle would be watching closely how the flame-kissed vixen handled this operation.
Pools were thrown back to the direction of Oasis, and shock almost stopped her dead in her tracks as the dove noticed a strange, towering Appaloosa brujo pressed against Oasis’s hide. Pistons cleared the earth, and enamels nipped the steed with a proclaim of Oi!
Voids narrowing in a glare as the dove rounded to the view of Oasis and the stranger.
Oasis Swings and round-a-bouts
Oasis smiled at her feisty daughter. What did she do to produce one with such a strong will? Melodies chimed through the litho, chiding and determined at first, Miracle had no right for such behaviour, towards any equine
Miracle apologise!
Gaze turned to the brute at her side, before glancing back at her dappled daughter and stating softly
This is your half-brother, Colburn
This was now the time when Windago’s chords stilled all conversation. Oasis turned, thorns flicking to hear his plan of action, never had she felt so delirious, her family was reunited!
But Windago’s lyrics chilled her blood, shattered her dreams and broke her heart. How could he make her choose? Her children or her love? What being could choose between those dearest to their heart? Oasis barely kept her composure together, and so simply froze. Was unaware of her surroundings, only that her nightmare was coming true. Her world was spinning, the doe locked her knees to stop bod crumpling to the earth. It did not matter if the gloopy sands swallowed her whole. How could she live without Windago anyway?
The dappled dove needed to speak to her love, explain how she had found her son, how there was so many reasons why Windago must leave the isle with his family. But she could not utter a syllable even if her life depended on it. Not yet, the fear had stolen all rational thought. Gaze lifted slowly to collide with Windago’s kind orbs. If he was to stay, then so must she. The dove could not leave the island, safe, and leave her beloved to a watery grave. She would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to leave her beloved. She didn’t want to die. If she was frightened of reality, then the prospect of death was terrifying beyond normality. Oasis didn’t want to end her life, she would never know Colburn. There were so many questions she longed to ask, so much catching up to do. And there was Miracle, who would take care of her?

.Dusk. .3 years. .Arabian.
W.hats the point in living now?
Golden mare raced forth to him, all thoughts disappeared of where he was, and in front galloping came Espirit. His sister. He hadn't seen her for... 6months and how he had missed, he chuckled as she snatched at his rump playfully, the first play move she had ever learnt and memories flooded back. If Dusk could cry surely at least one tear would stream down his crown. A cry for happiness. He reared and lowered himself as he heard her crying panick stricken for the horse... Zorro. Now Dusk might not be the most intelligent horse there was but he knew a male name from a fem. He stepped back from Espirit, never imagining her having a love. Sure she was beautiful enough but she was always his little sister, he's look after and perhaps this... Zorro was her mate. What had he done? Who was he and where was he? Some friend that was.
His heart raced as a handsome black stallion raced towards them. Calling out senorita he shook his crown sadly. So she must have moved on and forgotten him. He planned to bring her to safety. The whole 6months he had searched for her he had planned every single step. Where they would live, what would happen and sure enough a mate never came into the description. He hadn't thought about it really, it would just always be Dusk and Espirit.
Maybe he had some sort of crazed love for his sister? No way! He was not sick in the head like that. He just wanted to watch over her that was all. Nothing more, the love was just sister-brotherly love. No he could not think of it ever being. Love... love. After all he had his fems and he had different feelings for them. Though it wasn't love. He didn't really care for them...
.Espirit. .3 years. .Arabian.
C.ause I'm lost without you...
The call of Zorro made her heart miss a bit. After all she thought she had lost him. He answered her calls, she stopped for a moment thinking of what to say. Thinking that she couldn't say what she wanted to say. I...I...I thought you had... gone. and that was all the sun kissed mare could say. Turning her tiara to face Dusk she saw the jealousy peep through his orbs. She nudged him softly licking his maw. Dusk this is Zorro. Zorro this is my brother Dusk... she smiled happily. First she was so lost without her brother, she thought if she ever saw him again it would be the happiest day of her life yet this seemed wrong. She saw Dusk and her heart leapt for a minute but then it slowed to it's usual pace.
What was wrong? She had missed him so her stilts began to tremble. Though something was missing. A piece of her heart had been ripped out and given to someone else and only she knew who that someone was. It would seem silly if she blurted it out and she knew what Dusk was like. So over protective and so... dangerous.
She roamed towards Zorro and whispered silently into his auds Dusk's a little... over protective. she smiled nuzzling his maw. Then stepping back fearing she may have been a little too... forward perhaps?

Zylan watched silently as more and more horses came to attend the meeting. Thoughts of staying faded from his mind. They wanted nothing to do with him at the moment. This was obviously the herd, and he wasn't apart of it. Later he could perhaps be of service. The large stallion turned from his place and trotted off to the flooded shores. He would wait there until the herd was ready to take action.
[[ No muse for him ]]

She’d failed pretty much everyone before, but she wasn’t going to now. She was going to do as Windago told her too, she was going to guide her entire herd back to he Mountain, and she owed it to all the frightened souls waiting for their fate. Auds flickered in annoyance to the cry in the distance, turning her head to Wynne, who detested the thought of Windago staying; she wasn’t going to let her upset the crowd with her nervous yaps.
"Wynne…please."
She stared into her eyes with desperation, and anger clashed together. This was stressful enough. She wasn’t strong enough. She couldn’t say anything more, as Windago interrupted and reassured her himself. He was such a stubborn old man, but she loved him. He was so brave; he was such an inspiration to her. Without him, she didn’t know what she’d do right now.
She whined under her breath, as Oasis joined the group. In relief, she pressed her cheek against her own, nuzzling her softly lovingly. Pulling away as she questioned her, she looked beside her to seek Windago, before he stepped forward. Aurora remained where she was, if horses could cry, she would be sobbing her heart out right now, but she’d stay strong and brave, so that the herd would too.
She turned her complete attention to the sorrel stallion approaching, and introduced himself, and the palomino mare who followed, and yet another Friesian. Anger raged through her veins, she didn’t know who they were, and they were irritating her. But, she had too many things on her mind to snap them off; instead she pulled her attention back to Windago, who began to speak.
She inhaled a deep breath, shuffling her hoovens over the slush that was once solid ground. The flood was coming closer. A voice came from above her, she shifted her gaze and landed on her beloved’s eyes, she sighed, that feeling in her stomach fading, she was stronger with him. As he reached to touch her, she pulled away slightly, before giving in and accepting his love.
Her son’s lover trotted up towards the group, after Colburn had returned to his mother. Anubis. She must be worried sick about her mate, so immediately she took steps towards her, who seemed distressed about her half brother. She probably shouldn’t interrupt a new point in Miracle’s life, who obviously needed to think about things, maybe she should clear something off her chest.
"Miracle;"
She nudged at her creamy tassels, longing for her attention.
"Anubis is at the Desert with his brother, he’s safe."
She showed no emotion over her features, unable to feel anything right now; she was so numb in every way. Her limbs were sore from struggling through the thick mud sucking her in with every step, and she had such a journey ahead of her, she had so many lives to save. She inhaled a deep breath, and exhaled. She was ready. She took to Windago’s side, the father she never had.
She could have a conversation with him without saying a word; she stared into his chocolate brown eyes for good minute, before pressing herself against him, and reeling him in for a tight hug. She nuzzled his neck for the equal time, before backing off. She whined, unable to stay strong anymore, knowing she’d never see him ever again.
"Windago. Windago, I love you. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me, thank you for saving me, and for being the best friend I could ever have. You’re always so strong, you’re my wonder wall. I’ll never forget you Winny."
She clenched her dentals together, a lump in her throat forming, she looked down and sighed, she’d die here with him, if she wasn’t being relied on.
"Don’t go dying on me, you silly old fool."
She smirked playfully, well the best she could preform for now. She nudged at his shoulder blade in an optimistic manner.
"Akkan and Anubis send their love; you’ve been the best uncle to them."
She just stared into his eyes after her speech had seized, a gentle smile played on her features as she expressed everything she ever wanted to tell him. Flashbacks, like slides rolled in her mind. From the time she was picked up from the beach, from the time she grew to adore Oasis, from the many times Oasis and Windago would flock together, just to run around and muck around in their youth. And from the time they shared such a special moment together; birth of the Isle babies, Anubis, Akkan and then finally Miracle. They were this island’s future.
How she’d miss this old man, but they weren’t young and naïve anymore, life was serious now. They couldn’t just giggle themselves to sleep under the night sky anymore, they had too much to do; all of them. But they had their memories. The most beloved memories she’d forever keep close to her heart.
She whined rather audibly this time, unable to turn away from her over sized teddy bear, it pained her too much. But she swallowed her pain, and refreshed with a whole new look as she turned in the opposite direction of her only father figure. She took in another mouth full of air, and amplified her voice to roar over the nervous bubbles of the herd.
"Shussh! The flood is coming closer! Soon, we won’t have any land to stay safe from! We have to go, now! Do not rebel against me, do not argue, I do not want to hear it. Stay together everyone, and stay calm! I will bring you o safety! Trust me!"
She looked over her shoulder, at Oasis, Colburn, Windago and Miracle. Her family. Oasis was stubborn, she didn’t know if she’d follow. But she wasn’t going to force her; she had no patience left in her body, every equine depending on her drained that from her. But it would break her heart.
Turning away, she sobbed silently under her breath, starting at a brisk trot towards the water’s edge, which was closer then it’s ever been before. She quickened her pace until she was knee deep in the water. Looking out, it killed her to know what was ahead of her used to be a breath taking sight. Looking behind her shortly, she yelled louder this time.
"Hurry!"

†. Zorro. .A legend in the making... †. The jet stallion's head lowered in the stillness of the moment. As Windalgo spoke, all seemed still to him. The old stallion had allowed him to shelter from the flames and death that mocked him. Zorro had a great respect for the stallion that chose to lay down his life for the safety of others. Zorro noticed nothing, all he could see was the hero that stand before him. A lump began to form in his throat, keeping him from words. His heart began to pound in his chest, like a beast seeking freedom from imprisonment. †. Zorro's body had turned to stone, he didn't hear words... nor did he see what lie before him. All the jet stallion could think about was the bravery inside this old stallion, Windago. To give away life for others was a great thing. He searched for words to say... but nothing appeared. What could he say at a time like this? He had only knew Windago for a short time... and these equines of the island had knew him for a great time. Zorro couldn't help but feel a sense of awe for the great stallion of the island. He wished he could give his life to this stallion... for Zorro felt he wouldn't be missed. What had Zorro done? Nothing but care for foals... he had never really been close to an adult equine like himself after the passing of his mother.
†. "Windalgo, I wish I could have the chance to learn from you... and maybe make myself something instead of nothing... goodbye great one..." †. Zorro had found some form of goodbye to say... but he wasn't the best at goodbyes. Usually he would just disappear some day, leaving no reason or last word... but he felt a feeling for this place. A bond to it, so maybe he should stay? Only if the equines here allowed it. A tone lashed across his twins, telling him to hurry. He knew he must go... but was it the right thing to do? He must obey the stallion's wish... he must go. A nod was placed on the head of Zorro, as a final goodbye. He flipped his forelock to cover the z mark, only to dash away and let it uncover. His feathering was wet, so it didn't move. His mane blew back with the power of his gallop. His banner was dancing low. His dull daggers carried his to deep waters and waves. Following the fiery mare. His leader now, and in some short his care taker for the time being. †. His massive body hit the waters like a train. His feathered daggers thrust his forward, and carried him above waves. He kept his head high, so no salty water would enter his nares. The sea washed over his back a few times, wetting his mane and neck. The ends of his long forelock were wet, but the mark was now hidden. Soon his dagger felt sand below him, and he was able to walk on to the earth and wait for the mare to lead them all to safety.
[.Zorro has left the island...]
